[Q] root required apps - Optimus L3, L5, L7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone... i have a problem with my stock rom. (yes it is rooted + verified by root checker) 1.)whenever i open su and check app list there's nothing there even though i have ROM toolbox and titanium...2.) Whenever i open an app and it shows asking root rights it freezes... I tried updating busybox but it keeps getting stuck on removing old busybox.Does anyone know how to fix issue? Please reply if you do

Hi there. The fact that there's nothing displayed in your app list maybe caused because of yourself only allowing the app access for 5, 10 or 15 minutes. That's a possible cause. Secondly, you might need to re-root or re-install your root access app to get it working again.

My wife got her LG L5 E615 dual SIM phone. i have been experimenting with it since yesterday. I also been planning to release a ROM with it. I was able to successfully updated to v20d (JB 4.1.2) from ICS, rooted and installed custom recovery.
I would like to ask if there are users here that is interested in a custom ROM - stock based JB 4.1.2? Any suggestions, mods you like to add?
My initial thoughts:
- Google Play edition boot and shutdown animation
- CM 10.3 sounds (ring tones, notifications etc.)
- trebuchet launcher as default launcher
- pre installed apps : tantrumsMod rebooter, etc.
- DSP Manager port from CM
- many more .....

me parece que seria bastante bueno poner un launcher "holo" como la de un nexus 3 , aumentar la memoria interna y la ram si se puede. muchas gracias.

Been Trying two days to find aperson who updated E615..! my problem is, the fone got stuck in bootloop...
So, when the fone showed there is a new Update... I Connected fone to computer.... installed the drivers....Started Updation.... it downloaded a 399mb file.... and then the Installation was completed to 100%.... then it said that "The Phone May Restart"... it did shut down..... while turning on..... The LG Logo appears.... then goes off.... it repeats infinite tyms.....
then I entered Emergency Download Mode.... i was able to connect and repeat the steps as above.... and obtain the same results........with the fone stuck in a screen saying "Download in Progress, Do not disconnect Cable."..... Now did i do some mistake...?? or was it just a usual problem..... should i have waited for more..... Please do help me ASAP.....:crying:

Boot your phone to download mode (Press VOL+ AND VOL- and power button) then insert usb cable.
I used this KDZ updater (I'm using windows 8). Remember to install msxml.msi first.

Dear I want clear instruction on how to install CWM recovery. I have rooted my LG E615 but could not install CWM recovery .

BhekBhek; 2nd SIM miss warning
I've been using this BhekBhek ROM and had no problems so far.
For those who may be useful, however, I've tried both versions (v1 and v2) and Google Agenda didn't work on the second one - even after wiping and flashing the ROM again and again.
Just one doubt, for those who might help me (dunno if this has ever been asked on another post): is it possible to hide the 2nd SIM miss label from the status bar? I use only one SIM card and hate that permanent warning over there.

Hi. I was in the same situation you are when approaching this subject.
I advise you to do the following:
Update the stock ROM to the last version v20 (4.1.2) - you can do this by plugin your phone to the computer and following the LG guides.
Root, and install Clockworkmod -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2230679
Feel free to flash custom ROMs with the simplicity of the Clockworkmod.
Need to go back to the original ROM? No problem, just flash it via KDZupdater -> (a list of stock ROMS) http://lg-phone-firmware.com/firmware-Lg+Optimus+L5-Tutti-12.html
I've done this (using the guide I pointed out) and it worked pretty well.

Cyanogenmod 9 freezing

I had cyanogenmod 9 before.I flashed back to stock ROM because within a day the rom freezes nearly every few minutes...Its really fustrating because i need to pop battery out then back in to unfreeze it... does anyone know how to fix this problem or just go with cyanoid ?

I also tried overclock kernel and it only resisted a little while longer before it started freezing again

do not disable the autorotation,,,if you really want to use the cm9 without any rotation just check on 0 degree

I disabled auto rotation

you need enable auto-rotation again. if u disable it, u 'll must remove battery in few minutes

Turn on screen rotation, if you don't like it, just enable 0 degrees, it's working fine for me.

i have cleared davik caches many times
i have tried to change cmw version not working.
is it possible to install that Rom on my L3 ? if not why ?

[Q] Unable to upgrade to CM 11 on my defy

Hi All,
I was on cm-11-20141121-NIGHTLY-mb52x.zip this on my defy plus but it has issues with frequent disconn. wifi n reboots so i tried to install this --cm-11-20141201-NIGHTLY-mb52x.zip but my phone got stuck on Moto logo ,might bricked so i used RSD lite to install Base android 2.3 and tried adding boot-menu by this apk -SndInitDefy_2.3.apk .
It got me into bootmenu -recovery -but whenever i tried to add any ROM shows error status 0 and didn't allow to add any of custom ROM.
And also i cannot install this -new_boostrap.zip & this -defy_twrp_recovery_2.6.3.0.zip?
So can someone please help me how to install CM11 from base Android please and which recovery i needed for this?
and how to add that recovery ?

Thank You so much for this,i will try to follow it.
Another issue is that sometimes custom recovery comes up only ,rest of the times Moto Recovery i see ?
As i was trying usual Power +vol. down so many times but only once it worked to recovery mode but i still cannot install new_boostrap.zip or any of CM11 files ?
but able to install CM X Mig edition 2.zip and its old but stable so i guess i will wait if some1 knows what i messed up.
