Why did the cm team go with using the old Mali drivers and not the newer r3p2? I'm currently using Temaseks v16 with 1.8.5 devil kernel with GPU control, and I gotta say its the smoothest experience I ever had! The newer Mali drivers are so good.

Francos is unstable for .35 I find, try DJNoXDs kernel, although its a modified Cyanogenmod Kernel, it has quite a lot of things changed now, and its preety good, its worth a try others, they are all in development section, and one if original, (THunder)
Hey,
I think it's not allowed to create such threads.
It's not allowed to ask for the best ROM/Kernel/whatever.
Anyway,
I won't report this - cuz learn by doing mistakes
lol ....sorry i was a newbie then.....

Every JB rom I've come across doesn't seem to play nice w/ Siyah 1.5.2. Some state that it may work after resetting a million times, it's safe to say that there's will be a new version to address said issues. Having said that, does anyone have a copy of 1.5.1 beta 6? It's not up on the home site for Siyah and I'd like to get my hands on it. Thanks in advance!
Why make a new thread seriously go to siyah thread and get it jeez!!!

You can't use any of the custom kernels until Samsung released the source code.

I tried franco kernel and a couple other one's so far all i get is my screen displaying negative colors and flickering... I always picked 4.4 kernels and im on liquidsmooth... What am i doing wrong ??...

Can't remember if liquidsmooth is based on cm or aosp. Either way the kernel your trying to flash will be a caf kernel on a aosp rom or the other way round.
For cm based roms flash a caf kernel.
For aosp based roms flash a stock or aosp kernel.

Just checked for you and with liquidsmooth you need to flash a none caf kernel.
So if the kernel has the word caf on the opening page , don't flash it.
Franco kernel has both caf and none caf , search for the latter.

Slight correction.. I'm using liquidsmooth.. It requires cm caf kernel. I'm using ak kernel from original dev section and the battery is awesome. Check it out.
