I had a rooted LG G2. I used Viper for Android which was excellent. I have not rooted my Note 3. Are there any apps or mods to boost the volume without rooting the phone? I'm more concerned with headphone and Bluetooth volume. I rarely use the speaker. Thanks..
Specifically I use MX player for most videos. It has a built in function to boost volume buts it's still quiet. Music volume is ok as I use Power Amp. Is there really no way to raise the volume on Android 4.3 phones without rooting?
why not root it, then you can use viper????

It's looking like I might have to...
Not sure that I'll be able to root the phone. I have a Mac. I haven't found any way to do it on a Mac.

I am noob to android. Rooted my phone with attn1 FR008 rom. I am liking my Aria, however the earpiece volume is low for my liking espescially in noisy environments. I tried the (HAC) hearing aid trick but then it is TOO loud and you don't have any volume adjustment.
So I know the phone is cabable of a louder speaker volume. I have found the audioparaxx.csv files. But cant mod them because of rights in the root directory. I am still a noob and learning the file system.
Is there any quick updates to the audiopara files for the Aria? Or anyway to get louder volume?
Thanks!
Tom
You might want to check out this thread on the DSP Manager app. As well as being an equalizer, it allows you to separately control the volume for Headset, Phone Speaker & the Bluetooth device.
Well, sometimes there are some podcasts whose volume is quite low and quite dificult listen to them. One solution would be to increase the volume by pc, but I'm triyin to find an easier solution through the mobile.
I saw some aplications like volume booster, but any of them worked in our U8800. That is why I want to ask you if any of you know how to fix it.
THX!
Volume + should be working. Ret4rt includes it in hes rom.
Sent from my Derp using XDA Herp
I'm using dsp manager from cyanogenmod. its quite good.you can use app named 'equailizer' if have non rooted mobile.
Volume+ tested and doesn't work the volume increase (I use the rooted 2.3 stock Rom)
About DSP Manager it just let control de volume, but doesn't increase it, does it?
earphone sound volume is increased a bit can't say about speaker volume.
Can any kernels or apps allow me to boost bluetooth volume for music? I recently bought a set of bluetooth headphones. They're the Creative Labs WP-350s, which are awesome by the way, but are lacking in loudness.

Volume + by Meltus in Play allows increasing volume in bluetoot settings. Use it myself and it work well for me.
Thanks for replying. I tried the free version but it seems to actually be louder without the volume amplification. Is the paid version any better?

I use the paid version and it works well for me. Try it and if you don`t like it refund it within 15 munutes.
Just tried with and without volume boost and the difference in volume is clearly noticable. Also go into settings/sound/music effects and chose Volume+ as default.

I tried it with the boost on and off but it's definitely louder with it off. It might not be working right because I have Nexuslouder installed. I'll remove it and try the paid version of Volume+ and see if that makes a difference.
I have been searching like crazy to find a volume booster. I have been through rooting my phone, installing cyenogenmod, attepting wicked ROM, attempting Gummy ROM. Soft bricking my phone, flashing back to stock and have it rooted again. Just looking to boost the volume on my SGH-I337M.
Here is why it is important to me. Its great and all that Samsung wants to protect my hearing, however, I use my headphone jack as an aux out to play music for high energy fitness classes!! Some stereos at gyms that I go to are tuned down lower, and even at max my phone doesn't make it all loud enough for a good class! I even bought a separate walkman MP3 player, but it ended up going through the wash. Someone help!
THANKS!!
Try different kernels, rather than stock. Some have volume boosters - Ktoonz, and Adam are two that come to mind.
Consequently, I'm looking for the opposite - Increase vibration.....can't find anything that will do.....Ktoonz is wound up to 125 and
it still doesn't do the trick.

Check in to this, helps increase sound quality and loudness.Viper4Android
You'll need root and you'll need to install the driver upon opening the app then make your wanted sound changes.
Anything like this for a vibration mod? Make it stronger?

This. If you just want louder music, install Viper4Android, press menu in viper settings, select UI setting, change to Expert, then go all the way down to the bottom and change gain to 6Db
Update. Hell yeah!!! Viper works amazing. I finally improved the one and only thing that pisses me off about Samsung phones! There were some things to work through, but this will improve my classes for sure! Get the studio bumpin! Thanks again guys
My 6P is not rooted and wont be anytime soon. Looking for a way to increase the over all music volume. Seems like the last 3 "notches" of volume doesn't increase at all. Almost like it gets to a certain point and even though I'm increasing the volume it does nothing. Is there a way to get the overall music volume to be increased. Could it be the headphones I'm using? Or the music players? I tried Google music for a while but it's so data and memory heavy I switched to Sony music, which I love, has a built in album art finder and equalizer without root. Seems like the volume is the same on both players.
I doubt what you're asking is possible without root as the files that would need to be edited are system files. To my knowledge, you'd need root. Any sound mod is going to require root & a custom recovery to flash. There may be methods I'm not aware of, but 0 that I've seen over the last 6 years.
There's a way to eliminate absolute volume in Bluetooth in the hidden developer options but I doubt that will help unless you are using Bluetooth headphones. There's also a Volume Booster app in the Play Store that I have no personal experience with but it gets some good reviews. Have you gone into settings / sound on your phone and checked what the level is set at for media volume? It's likely not set at the maximum possible level unless you changed it yourself.
