Hi everyone.
I'm now on stock rom of United Kingdom (BTU) android 4.3 with Knox.
I want to move to the stock rom of Netherlands (PHN), also 4.3 with Knox.
The last time I installed German stock rom (DBT) my CSC didn't change to DBT and stayed on BTU and therefore I couldn't get updates via Kies.
I do not want to root my phone or change the CSC in "illegal" ways which will trip the Knox flag and so I won't be able to get updates from Samsung.
The last time I installed this DBT rom I tried already resetting my phone like 3 times and doing wipe data/factory reset twice or so and it didn't help in changing the CSC.
Before I install the PHN rom please provide me with a solution if my CSC will stay on BTU.
Thanks in advance,
Anyone?

I have galaxy s4 i9505 and after region changing my csc is ALB, i can't get updates. What can i do? It is multi-csc... Region SEB, but CSC ALB.
So I will not get updates?
Hi
I had the same problem, I don't know why it happens.
I also have GT-I9505 and at first I had mismatch of PDA and CSC, my PDA was ME2 and CSC was BTU so Kies told me it doesn't support my firmware and thus I couldn't get updates. That was on android 4.2.2.
Then I installed the DBT (android 4.3) stock rom of Germany but when I entered Kies the CSC was still BTU and didn't change even after a factory reset so again I couldn't get updates, not via Kies nor OTA. Afterwards, I installed at last the BTU stock rom and everything was OK.
The Kies no longer told me that my firmware is unsupported and I received the MK8 update a week ago and gonna receive the new update which was released yesterday in a few days. Moreover, I forgot to mention that the Knox flag wasn't tripped after installing the BTU rom.
My suggestion is you install the rom which matches the CSC of your device because the CSC doesn't change after installing a stock rom so you have to adapt yourself to the CSC.

DTM is of Germany T-Mobile. Where are you from?
You had the German T-Mobile before and moved to SEB (Serbia) rom?

You can try flashing (via Odin) the new update which was released two days ago (MKE).
It was released for Germany and France for now but soon will be rolling to everyone.
I'm almost sure it won't trip the Knox flag if you do everything right.

Yeah that's an option also.
Also, did you try factory reset after the installation? If not, do it. It sometimes helps, in my case it didn't help to change the CSC to DBT when I installed the German rom.
I hope Kitkat will arrive soon to our devices. I can't wait to see the improvements and how did they change the TW.
Hi,
I have messed up my phone while playing with TowelRoot, so I flashed a new firmware. This is the recommended software for Belgium (I9505XXUGNG8) on SamMobile, this firware was for Luxembourg, and on french forums they said it was this one for Belgium, since belgium does not have a firmware.
So I flashed it via Odin, and then the phone rebooted, however, my CSC is set to ORX (Slovakia) for some reason. This is a Multi-CSC firmware.
So, I wonder what CSC is it for this firmware (Before I flashed the phone, the welcome screen was in english)
And how to get this back so I get 100% stock, by keeping KNOX 0x0.
(I can't root with TowelRoot, because it got patched)
Sorry to do this, but bump.

CSC is required for OTA (automatique mise à jour du firmware), so no need to change it because ORX area is linked to Europ.
You'll get OTA the same time (almost) than France and Lx , no worry.
in case you fear it is always possible to flash the full new Rom with ODIN.
Welcome screen is english and you move it the language you want.
About KNOX 0 if you always flash FW with Odin you'll never have to worry about it.
Clear?
Ok and I can send it back to Samsung ?
(Thanks btw ☺)

I don't say this is a problem, csc has some region related features. IF u really want those features, you can use specific region firmware as u stated about your region but i don't care about csc because it does not create a real problem. Changing CSC is bit confusing so flash complete whatever firmware you want and enjoy, also hit thanks :fingers-crossed:
Hi All
I'm hoping someone can help with a problem I'm having.
I have a Galaxy Note 3 LTE (SM-N9005), it was sold as an unbranded UK variant (BTU). As the Lollipop ROM hasn't been released for the BTU CSC yet, I decided to try using the Netherlands (PHN) or Poland (XEO) unbranded ROMs as many others seems to have done. I flashed these ROMs (downloaded from sammobile) with Odin and did a factory reset.
This all worked fine but I've now scuffed my screen and want to get the phone back to the latest 4.4.2 BTU ROM in order to avoid complications during an insurance claim. Unfortunately this seems to be proving problematic, no matter what I do the CSC code is now staying stuck as XEO, and the default language after a factory reset is Polish.
I've tried reflashing the same BTU ROM the phone had before (N9005XXUGNG1/N9005XAGNJ3) with Odin, followed by a Factory reset in recovery wiping the data/cache, but after this the CSC is still XEO, so I'm ending up with the BTU ROM but with the default language as Polish. Can any suggest how I can resolve this?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Hi,
first, sorry for my bad english, but I'm from Germany.
I want to update my DBT-Version with the new Vodafone Version for G928F.
Is this possible to flash with Odin without Setting knox to 0x1?
So I can test 6.0.1 until in possible nearly future the new 6.0.1 DBT-Version will be released.
Thanks for your answers.

Hello,
i have tried it earlier today. When odin wants to flash the hidden.img from the VD2-Firmware, odin stops with an failure.
After a recovery with Smart Switch back to DBT, i have tried the LUX-Firmware from Luxemburg and it works perfectly without setting Knox to 0x1
Ari
Thanks.
Then I will try Luxemburg too. Can I restore a backup with smartswitch from 5.1.1 (Apps, Settings, Pictures etc) after upgrading to 6.0.1 Lux? Or will everything be gone?
Can be closed.
DBT came out yesterday.
Hey guys! So, out of curiosity, I've downloaded and flashed the most recent Oreo from Russia (CSC: SER) thinking that I would like to try out the new Oreo software. After I've tried it, I decided to go back to Nougat by flashing the stock firmware (CSC: XME) I downloaded from sammobile.com. After completing it, someway, somehow, the device is now stuck in the Vietnam CSC (XXV). I've been downloading various of XME firmwares from the past and everytime it finish flashes, it will start up in Vietnamese and I'm stuck again with the Vietnam CSC. Nice that I'm able to get oreo with a Vietnamese CSC, but I don't want to use it because the Samsung Pay works different in Vietnam in comparison to Malaysia. And, I've no idea how flashing a SER and then XME would come out with a XXV CSC is beyond my imagination. Is there anyway for me to return back to my stock CSC without rooting and tripping Knox?
Opening the stock recovery completes the CSC installation, give that a try. It's expected to show "Updating 0-100%".

So, I have done some digging around the internet and found this link from the Sammobile forum. I've tried the methods in that forum, and it works!
If any of you have suffered the same problem as me, you could perform troubleshoot using this method. It seems that firmware for XME is actually multi-CSC and includes other CSC such as Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Myanmar and etc.. The Vietnam CSC is the default CSC.
So, here you go. This is the link: https://www.sammobile.com/forum/threads/39155-How-to-change-CSC-with-a-combination-file
