Installed 12/04/2013 nightly build of KitKat OmniROM on my Galaxy Note II (n7100), and see the same issues I had with CM 10.1 and 10.2: the signal strength bars don't work, and the Status page shows:
Signal Strength at 2147483647 dBm, 255 asu
The other issue is apparently a weaker Bluetooth signal. A stereo headset that works fine with Samsung stock ROM, looses signal and interrupts playback even when I move the phone only as far as my pocket or at arm length...
Does anyone else see the same problems on n7100? Any idea where/how to fix them? I could look at the source code myself, given some hint where to look... Also, is there a place to submit bug reports for OmniROM?

You should have asked this question in n7100 omnirom thread or at least in q&a section if you don't have permissions to post in dev section.
Yes status page shows those values but signal bars represent the correct value.
You can use jira.omnirom.org to report bugs.
And yes there are some issues with BT headset and calling but I have never heard of low BT signal issue. Please insure the quality of your BT product and verify with some other device or stock ROM.

Thank you for your help, I reported the signal strength issue on jira now (http://jira.omnirom.org/browse/OMNI-88). As for the Bluetooth strength issue, as I wrote above, the same headset works well with the stock Samsung ROM on the same device, but both CM and Omni ROMs cause me this problem. Oh well, I have another headset that works well with both ROMs, so maybe it really is a headset issue.

Both are stereo Bluetooth headsets. The one that has trouble with Omni and CM ROMs is Motorola S305. The one that still works well is Rocketfish RF-MAB2.

I am experiencing relatively poor wifi signal. Has anyone else experienced this with ICS roms? My about screen shows the following:
Android 4.0.4
ICS333-2.0.1
3.0.8-Semaphore_ICS_1.2.2s
Baseband I9000XXJVU
Overall ICS is working really well, but the wifi is not so good. I get the feeling my mobile reception is lower than it used to be too...
Any ideas?
Cheers

try a different kernel or modem. use CWM. I've tried different modems, eventually settled on ke7 which worked well for me.better wifi reception and call reception.

I used FXR wiFi fix and rescue !:good:
I'm facing a related problem.
I have the obtaining IP address problem. I have tried moving back to stock ROM, Wi-Fi fix and rescue, Static IP and different modem. Sadly, I haven't found the solution yet.
Do you know how I can tell if the problem is with the hardware or the software ? Any advice is appreciated.

Best bet is to ask on the MIUI site as there is no real development for it here.
this bug was already reported to dev

I saw yesterday than someone has already posted on June 11 on MIUIANDROID.COM about this bug for a Galaxy Nexus with no answers
source
Hi,
I have a question ,
I was using Sentinel 4.8 (based on CM 10.1 android 4.2.2) and I jad internet while I was calling someone , it's very useful because when i am in the car and on hands free and using GPS program that needs internet and i am one the phone too the gps program not loosing connection.
I upgradet to difreent roms based on CM 10.2 (android 4.3) and all of them when i am calling someone , internet Disappears ..
I noticed it's the same baseband (modem) so it's not modem.
So on what it deppens ? CM version ? kernel version ?? how do I make internet to work on CM 10.2 based roms while i am on active call???
thanks in advance .

Such a helpful post, I am in awe of you helpfulness.
OP next to your signal bars what letter is there, if it says 3g, H or H+ I would reflash the rom there could be a corrupt file, if it's E or G they are 2g signals and they cannot use the Internet whilst in a call, when some one calls it will disconnect from the Internet for the duration of the call.

Usualy there a H+ signal but when I Dial it disapire, I disconnect it returns , any 10.2 CM ROM
I returned to sentinel 4.8 rom (CM 10.1 based) and internet works again while on call ... So i think it's a ROM featcher ... maybe CM didnt implemented it yet in 10.2 version.

Maybe post this in the CM 10.2 thread along with a logcat?

I am running a custom rom Arya 8.1
I flashed the BL that the creator provided
But now I'm getting very low signal even at areas where i had good signal before.
I attached a screen of what I'm running now
I am not sure what to look for exactly, modem? Bar bands?
Any suggestion will be appreciated.
Regards
Make sure that the modem and all those stuffs are actually updated. Just go to dialler and press *#1234# and see whether you are running the latest Modem and CSC. And also make sure that this isn't temporary. I mean it could be your mobile carrier company who is having the problem of low signal for a day or two! I have been using Arya for over 4 months now, never noticed any signal related problem at all!
Hey all,
some of us suffer from the robotic voice issue and the discussion in the dev forums gets out of control, so I decided to open an own thread for this topic.
I hope this will reduce the off-topic talk in the ROM threads (which is against xda rules by the way ). Also this will maybe help the devs to find a solution eventually as they dont have to search through the 500pages in the dev forum to find any useful comments on the topic.
Further I would like to share how to live with the problem
For many users this issue is a dealbreaker for using a ROM. I personally adapted to it as those ROMs/builds without the issue are extremely poor when it comes to performance and especially battery life for me. The current version of the device tree massively improves those too aspects at cost of bringing the robotic voice issue, which is good so, as the issue only affects a few and it can be easily worked-around.
What you can do to work-around the issue:
turn network mode to 2G
Go to Settings => Cellular networks => Preferred network type => 2G
Of course this means that your mobile internet will be way slower. All background service will run without any problems. Only when you for example stream music or videos online or maybe want to use the browser (in fact, therefore it wouldnt even really be necessary) you would have to switch to 3G/4G.
I have the robotic voice issue on every outgoing call when on 3G/4G and never had the problem on 2G. So this is a very stable workaround :good:
Also I have found an app called "Toggle Network Type 5.0" PlayStore - xda
It requires root but using a custom ROM that shouldnt be a deal-breaker. With this app, you can create an widget that toggles between network modes that you can select. So for example to toggle between 2G and 3G/4G
That means it is only one tap on a widget from ready to take a call to highspeed mobile internet :fingers-crossed:
use dual-boot
I'mTheMr released a dualboot app for our device G800F xda-thread. I am using it quite a while now and never had any problems with it. The ROMs are installed to internal storage. Having a device with 12gb internal storage this is absolutely no problem. You can access files, photos etc. from all ROMs.
So you have one ROM (works with rooted stock ROM as well!!!) that you can rely on, say your work partition and when you want to use a custom ROM with all its fancy features and the robotic voice issue is atm no deal-breaker you just choose your secondary in the app and reboot =)
I really hope that one of the devs will take a deeper look into that issue sooner or later. I can put up with it, but getting rid of this problem once and for all would of course be way nicer.
What we know about the issue (or think to know :silly: ):
As I said before it is connected to the latest changes in the device tree by hennymcc, which switched the phone libs. Considering that it doesnt appear on 2G, one can assume that it is the part that controls the mobile data / voLTE. That also means that basically every new ROM has the same bug because they all share hennymcc's device tree.
The ROMs that have the robotic voice issue are:
CM 13 (there are builds that dont have it, but I am speaking of the latest build)
Resurrection Remix
Tesla
PAC-ROM 5
ROMs that dont have the robotic voice issue:
Bliss ROM (latest build used the older version of device tree)
CM 12.1
I have this issue with every outgoing call others only calling specific numbers/providers and most of the users dont have the problem at all. So, it could be related to the provider one uses or more precisely the frequencies your provider uses.
And thats about all information I can provide to the topic. Feel free to add things that I forgot to mention or just dont know and when someone wants to have any specific logs just tell what you need and I am sure there will come a lot then I will of course add a call log with and without robotic voice (2g/3g) but probably not today.
PS: Please excuse the noob language used here and there, I am obviously no dev

First of all the bug appears only on marshmallow ROMs, not on lollipop ROMs.
