I have a quick question. Is there a way to force a "text" message to be sent as MMS instead of SMS using the stock messaging app? It looks like right now, if the message is all text, then only after the 6th 140 character message will it convert to MMS, otherwise it stays on SMS and splits it into 6 SMS messages. I want to choose to convert it sooner if I want. Is that possible? I know that if I insert a picture then it will convert to MMS immediately, but I want text ONLY MMS. Thanks!

Don't know why you want to force txt mssg to be sent as MMS but there is a setting in stock messaging app that combines all the split mssgs to be send as one whole mssg. Don't know if this what you want tho.

Create a google voice number. Then use that number with whoever you want to text as a group text. It'll become MMS instead of SMS for group texting.
For some reason when I get a text the message rings and vibrates as if I'm getting more than one text. I'm using stock MMS apk and running slimrom

Not sure if it's me or what but whenever I receive a MMS I don't get a notification. I've checked all the settings and everything looks fine. I get notifications on regular text messages. Any ideas?

Hi.
I'm a fairly recent convert to Android, having come from the iphone. I have 1 complaint which is all my text messages containing emoji are sent as mms. This is an issue because I have to pay for mms while sms are free. I'm using the default messaging app and SwiftKey keyboard.
Is there any way round this?

Click in MENU button and select "Insert smiley" when u will be writing a SMS. This are the unique emoji u can send in SMS.
Hi does anyone know what I can do to fix my text messages that are coming in out of sync. If I send a message then the one I receive is being put ontop of my original message and its putting them in different places in the text
