According to http://androidandme.com/2013/12/new...ssing-sites-with-android-4-4-1-in-california/
4.4.1 has been spotted in the land of fruits and nuts, umm I mean California.
Has anyone on here got it yet, and do you see any difference?
Those are likely Google people doing internal testing, nothing has been released to the public that I'm aware of

That is what I have started to think, I should have figured that out once I saw California in the post.:good:
OTA with updated Adreno drivers ?
That would be pretty cool. Fingers crossed?

Hey there guys I think we should have our own off topic thread since other devices have them too and this can be a place where we can talk freely and not take this forum too seriously

Long live OT.

I actually just got mine in August. I'd been wanting one, and for only seven dollars, I got a fresh one. Sold my Inspire to a work associate. Honestly, I like my Nexus more.

Hi guys, guess what? The only online store here in the Philippines that sell the Nexus 4 is selling it for a whopping US$580 after conversion. What a ripoff. Any of you guys not in the US and experiencing the same price discrimination?

I saw that some of the android news sites were reporting the N4 was getting the update, and they now show as being all the Nexi (plural nexus?) except the 4 are starting to see the update.
I want to watch the video of the nexus 4 announcement but I can't find it anywhere. Was it announced at Google I/O?

If I'm not mistaken, the N4 was never announced at google I/O. I remember the earliest video of the N4 was from TheVerge
I figured that's why I couldn't find it. Did it just pop up on the Google pay store?

I think so. I'm not sure because I don't have access to the Device part of the PlayStore.

From memory, I believe they had a big event (on a pier?) However, this was cancelled due to Hurricane Sandy. Rather than rescheduling it,they surprised everyone and just announced it - possibly along with 4.2 Jelly Bean.
I think that is what happened

Yes you are correct Google had a big event planned in New York for the launch and they canceled it because of Hurricane Sandy and just sent out a press releases about the Nexus 4 instead. Google doesn't typically show off phones at I/O, they used last years to introduce the Nexus 7.

Sorry its not out yet, you're going to have to wait for case manufacturers to catch up. Give it a couple of months.

Sorry man no case is compatible with the new firmware. At Google we the engineers have removed key hardware components that allow bonding between the hardware and software. Stay tuned folks a new bumper is in development.

Fair point, there isn't really a good one out there (maybe Sony showing the best support?).
I guess that's why you have a Nexus 4 and my next device will probably be the Nexus 5
