Can somebody upload the gallery.apk off the evo?
I downloaded the rom but can not figure out how to extract it out of the .exe package.
Give me some adb codes and I'll pull it off the phone for you.
I don't see it in /system/app... and without root very few commands are working (first phone that I've had that wasn't rooted...).

is that launcher2 i see in there? the evo(nor any htc sense phones) doesnt have the gallery.apk...
i'm pretty sure is the htcphotowidget. it is on the incredible. is called photos though and not gallery as an icon.

well yeah that is in there but if he is talking about gallery.apk. that is the 3d gallery from the nexus one...

No, I am not looking for the 3D gallery, just the default gallery for browsing photos, it looks like it is an update to me and we should be able to apply it to other roms.

its the same app from the htc hero 2.1 update and the desire and the incredible. nothing has changed in it. but i can make a zip for u if u want it

yeah its the same file. just fyi the one on the hero doesnt have the colored sliders. rip it out of a htc legend rom like darchlegend. or just flash that rom or fresh toast or something but it has all the same features and looks

The camera App has some nice features compared to other phones-Blink & smile detection, and the panorama is pretty clever. I know people around the office would like to see those working on other phones.

I've some problems with my 3G Mobile Network in Settings (appeared/disappeared) so i would like to compare file between the NVFlash version of Prime v1.5 and the Clockworld version.
I've tried to open/extract the 2 IMG files from the NVFlash version but any of my apps can open/extract...

Which files? The boot and the recovery are magic Android! files and you can unpack them with these tools https://github.com/AndroidRoot/BootTools
But once you unpack them, there isn't much there in terms of 3G settings.
I think you want the system.img, which is a ext4 archive and can be mounted directly to your directory structure, provided it supports ext4 files. Linux supports it!

Some of you love the Samsung bloatware if so you can skip this thread but if you're not interested in having all that and truly having your own custom ROM experience with assembled apps from down to the top with some sweet hardware, here is the technique.
Here are a few techniques to remove bloatware from your phone, which is definitely increase the battery life and decrease ram usage.
1) ROOT your phone:
Root is the answer for all tweaking!
2)Once you have successfully gained root access install Root Explorer or preferably Root Unintaller.
3)Once done you can uninstall the following bloatware without affecting the main functionality of the phone using either Root Explorer with r/w ON or Root Uninstaller :

This framwork gives you alot of customizing capabilities to tweak your phone and provide most of the essential functionality provided by custom ROMs.
Voila! you have a stock but tweaked your phone.
This is my blocked packages list, used with the Debloater app from @gatesjunior. At the moment, Im up to 147 blocked packages. Everything works. However, depending on your personal preference, you might want to unblock some of these. Things like SFinder, QuickSearchBox, and others are blocked here, as I dont personally use them at all.
This fully disables Knox as well, in case your wondering.
To use this list for your phone, copy the contents of the box below, into a text file named "blocked.txt", and use the Debloater app to import the list.

I didnt do the most thorough test for battery before these changes, but Im going to say yes, there is certainly an improvement. Its not mind-blowing, but at least for me, it was noticeable. The system feels more fluid overall.

Up to 147 blocked packages. I also started a changelog in the OP, just below the current package list.
Now, mind you, this isnt ALL that can be disabled. Think of this more as debloating. I could disable a lot more, if I didnt want some of the basic system features, but thats not my goal with this.

Seems like I lost the proximity sensor for waking the screen up when hovering your hand over the sensor. Anyone know which one it is to turn this back on?

Kinda the wrong thread for this question but I'll see if I can help you.
Are you able to connect Debloater to your device and make it read your packages? If so, that's half the battle. If not, I'd go to the Debloater thread and seek assistance there.
Otherwise, once Debloater is loaded and you're able to load your packages, there's a hidden menu that I didn't know about until the author himself told me about it. Just right-click on the on one of the buttons, I forget which one, probably the Read Packages button. I'm not looking at it right now so I'm not totally sure. But once you do that, you'll see an IMPORT menu, select the Blocked option and then find your block list, which should be saved as a Text file. Once loaded, click Apply and give it a few minutes to do its thing.
To get the Text file, on your computer, go to the OP of this post, highlight only the quoted text, copy it, open up Notepad and paste it in there. Save it as a Text (or TXT) file.
Keep in mind that after applying this, some of the apps you use MIGHT be blocked, so you might end up manually unblocking a few, as needed.
Any update on getting hotspot back on from the original list?
Just curious and goofy question .. For the Samsung browser, i still have it working, but the icon is gone.. Does anyone know which apk controls this?

For those of you that disabled a jillion packages, how much is it increasing battery life?????
I lose 1/2% or .5% per hour with just freezing the bloat apps with the disable button. When I went the fancy route and froze stuff like com.android___ etc, my battery life was worse. Right now with light usage, I'm on 48 hours off the charger and have 75% battery left. (Yes, that is extremely light usage. A handful of texts and a couple emails only.) On heavy use days, I have no problem getting 7 hours of SOT over a 12 hour period. (That is with freezing most of the google apps and all the Verizon crap.)
Which package controls the mobile hotspot?
