A favor... gallery.apk off evo

Can somebody upload the gallery.apk off the evo?
I downloaded the rom but can not figure out how to extract it out of the .exe package.

Give me some adb codes and I'll pull it off the phone for you.

I don't see it in /system/app... and without root very few commands are working (first phone that I've had that wasn't rooted...).

is that launcher2 i see in there? the evo(nor any htc sense phones) doesnt have the gallery.apk...

i'm pretty sure is the htcphotowidget. it is on the incredible. is called photos though and not gallery as an icon.

well yeah that is in there but if he is talking about gallery.apk. that is the 3d gallery from the nexus one...

No, I am not looking for the 3D gallery, just the default gallery for browsing photos, it looks like it is an update to me and we should be able to apply it to other roms.
Anybody able to pull the HTCAlbum.apk, .odex, and htcphotowidget out and drop them in a zip for us?

its the same app from the htc hero 2.1 update and the desire and the incredible. nothing has changed in it. but i can make a zip for u if u want it

yeah its the same file. just fyi the one on the hero doesnt have the colored sliders. rip it out of a htc legend rom like darchlegend. or just flash that rom or fresh toast or something but it has all the same features and looks

I've some problems with my 3G Mobile Network in Settings (appeared/disappeared) so i would like to compare file between the NVFlash version of Prime v1.5 and the Clockworld version.
I've tried to open/extract the 2 IMG files from the NVFlash version but any of my apps can open/extract...
Is there a way/app?

Which files? The boot and the recovery are magic Android! files and you can unpack them with these tools https://github.com/AndroidRoot/BootTools
But once you unpack them, there isn't much there in terms of 3G settings.
I think you want the system.img, which is a ext4 archive and can be mounted directly to your directory structure, provided it supports ext4 files. Linux supports it!

I've been running 1.9.9 MIUI for a couple of days and no excessive battery drain, it's been very good in fact. Make sure you are on GB bootloader and install your apps one by one to see if anyone is misbehaving, and give the bat time to settle in.
I'll wait what the verdict is for JVS before jumping to it. I hear it still has the phone fc bug which is unbelievable. it will take a LOT to make me move from MIUI.

Battery life is a bit better than previous MIUI installations I have tried, but it's not as good as JVQ was.

Yepp, it looks like Samsung believes there is nothing to improve in their libs...
EDIT: I was wrong! Several files in lib are indeed changed... I apologize! Most of the changes are very limited, but some of them are completely rewritten, even if they retain their size sometimes... Weird!

[MOD][CWM]Debloat Samsung Galaxy S3 mini

Hi everyone!
I decided to create myself a CWM flashable Debloater for SGS3m.
It's based on bloatkill.zip by broadways, but with SGS3m applist and correct update-binary.
I suggest that you first install deodex'd rom before you flash this. Then there won't be useless .odex files laying around. Of course you can flash it to stock rooted rom too, it doesn't matter.
I personally used [ROM][CWM]i8190XXAMG4[STOCK] by tys0n
Step 1) Root, CWM/TWRP (ROM Manager)
Step 2) Download: http://kinky.fi/samsung/Debloat/Debloat-SGS3m.zip
Step 3) Copy Debloat-SGS3m.zip into your SDCard
Step 4) Reboot into Recovery
Step 5) Backup your phone (takes couple of minutes)
Step 6) Flash from SDCard
Step 7) Wipe dalvik cache
Step 8) Reboot and wait for the reboot to complete, Enjoy!
Step 9) OPTIONAL: Freeze other useless apps (ChatON, Samsung Apps Mobile, Google Play Music...) with ie. App Quarantine

Disclaimer:
I made this for my own phone (GT-I8190) and it works perfectly on me.
If you brick your phone with it, then proceed by flashing the backup you created earlier back in the phone with recovery.
Flash with your own risk, alltho there ain't supposed to be any.

Decrease Ram Usage-Better battery life [4.3+] [Root] [Bloatware Removal]

Hello peeps,
Some of you love the Samsung bloatware if so you can skip this thread but if you're not interested in having all that and truly having your own custom ROM experience with assembled apps from down to the top with some sweet hardware, here is the technique.
Here are a few techniques to remove bloatware from your phone, which is definitely increase the battery life and decrease ram usage.
1) ROOT your phone:
Root is the answer for all tweaking!
2)Once you have successfully gained root access install Root Explorer or preferably Root Unintaller.
3)Once done you can uninstall the following bloatware without affecting the main functionality of the phone using either Root Explorer with r/w ON or Root Uninstaller :
(Please do note that it's not a compulsion to uninstall all these apps, you may skip whatever you want to keep)

This framwork gives you alot of customizing capabilities to tweak your phone and provide most of the essential functionality provided by custom ROMs.
