Anyone with the Korean variant of the G2 can confirm whether or not this version has Qi Wireless charging capability?
Thanks.
A wireless charging-capable back cover sells for 55,000 won (about USD 50) in korea.
The back housing of Korean version of G2 can be changed while international variants' are not.

Can anyone enlighten us as to the differences (hardware and software) between the following:
1. International version
2. Korean version
3. AT&T version
4. Verizon version
Thanks :good:

Likewise. Wondering if the international version supports T-Mobile LTE... AT&T LTE too, but T-Mobile more importantly.

i literally just posted about these problems this morning lol.
1. Dunno
2. addition of a SD slot, removable back and that weird antenna for receiving soap operas in Korea
3. Has an ATT logo and a noise-cancelling mic on the back above flash
4. Completely different, fatter than the rest; smaller buttons that are chrome and not plastic; sit flat on table design; honeycomb pattern on back; weird software differences everywhere; weird VZW logo on the front too close to the edge
Really the same except
1. Probably is compatible with Tmo and ATT given the similarities, so it's worth a try when it comes to root, TWRP and roms
2. Have no fricking clue
3. Is doing quite well, really no differences with Tmo and Int (though Tmo claims to have a 2.4MP front camera?? contradicts the fact that all the rest have 2.1MP)
4. Is doing quite well, but modem is different because I think CDMA and GSM are merged into one. Really active forum over there.

Pretty sure D800, F320, D801, D802 and D803 all have the same GSM and UMTS capabilities...
The buttons on the back of the verizon model are indeed plastic. Some of it has already rubbed off on mine. As soon as my case gets here ill be exchanging it
Pretty sure Korean version F320 has 2x removable 2600mAh battery, removable microSD card slot, LTE 1800/2600 support, Korean TV tuner, the hardware FM tuner is castrated from the international version (no, you can't even download the SpiritFM to make it work cause the antenna isn't wired).

Wait, 2x batteries?
2x battery means you get one in the phone and they give you an extra one in the box.

How many different G2 do we have and where?
What are the actual (non sw) differences among them?

Well I suppose there is 2 main streams of G2 at the moment the D803/802 international version/verizon/at&t and F320s/f/L which is the korean variant. The main difference is that korean variant has removable but smaller battery at 2610mah and the micro sd card slot. The LTE for korean variant might not work with the US counterparts due to different frequency.

So we already have at least 5 versions here:
D803
D802
F320s
F320f
F320L
As I live in Europe I would like to know the differences between D802 and D803.
[UPDATE]
I found that Wikipedia has some details, but too few about the actual differences.
Not to mention the Verizon version happen to be a wee bit thicker as it supports wireless charging.

You can check using your IMEI here:

Where the X should be replaced with your imei.

My original G3 was SEA and had Euro LTE bands but the firmware did not allow selection of LTE unless you used the magic menu options 3845#*855#. The device was probably from Singapore. Anyway returned it for proper international D855.

You will get firmware for your model of the phone. And if it's from Europe it will be V10...EUR.
I have emailed him see if he will send me the replacement imei number so I can check it beforehand

Got SEA too, from Singapore, no complains at all with LTE, flashed 10j ROM and works perfectly...LTE is picked up on the spot....
I've read some rumors that only the USA would have wireless charging, and that Canada would have neither the DAC, nor the wireless charging.
Just picked up my G6 from Rogers in Canada and threw it on a co-workers samsung charging pad, and it works.
Wireless charging
Hey sorry but how do you already have a G6? I thought the release date in Canada was on the 7th.
With the phone actually being released and available now, can someone please confirm wireless charging in Canada? Will most likely pick up a G6 but will be ordering an American version if the Canadian model doesn't support wireless.
Thanks
Would like to know too
I have a G6 from Telus. It supports wireless charging.
I have a v20 and I love it very much.
I bought refurb. screen is crap leaking and burned in spots. usb plug no longer holds the cable inside so I use a rubber band to keep it inside.
camera glass on rear broke out of the blue and then camera started getting messed up and now is hazy and doesnt even focus. thats physical.
what do I look for when buying used? what do I check?
after getting burnt by my g4 bootloop and the v20 quality issues, id like to find another v20 because it offers the swappable battery which is a HUUUUUGE benefit to me. I keep another battery in my wallet and swap while walking. I hardly connect mine through its charging port, also because its faulty.
if the v30 or 40, which are beautiful phones had swapping batteries, of course id get those.
I dont live in the US so prices for new are highish vs the US
Where do you live, if UK I would recommend the H918 T-Mobile version as it has all the needed LTE Bands for the UK and Europe.
I bought the Vs 995 Verizon phone and while it works well in UK it requires the APN to be set manually whereas the T-mobile version does it automatically on sim entry. Hope this is of some help.

Do not buy this cell phone, believe me it's full of factory failures, especially with the screen.
Mine only lasted me 8 months before this happened to me
