I installed Kangabean 4.3 a couple of months ago. Today I noticed that Kitkat 4.4 was pushed down over the air and is ready to install. Obviously I do not want the install to happen but I can't find the file to delete.
I thought I had the updates disabled but clearly not.
Any help is appreciated.

Hi there, I just got my new I9505. If I plan on rooting it over the next few days, should I install/not install the OTA update that was downloaded when I first switched my phone on.
I'm wondering if the new OTA will make gaining root access more complicated. I'd like to stay using TouchWiz for a few more weeks before I get CM or other ROMs, so is the update worth it?
Currently on XXUAMDF
Thanks
I recently upgraded to 4.3 & Nothing but bugs. I downgraded back to 4.2.2 with root & When I was on my WIFI the google update downloaded but I don't want to install it. Is their a way to block this update so I don't accidently hit the install in my notifications bar. Here is a screen of what I mean.
My galaxy note 3 tmobile Version was recently rooted. After I rooted it, I noticed that a software update was available. After research, I realized that you cannot update the software while your device is rooted. I tried using Xposted and Wanam, but it didn't suffice. Is it possible to flash an updated rom such as c-rom onto my phone? Or would that end up in a soft brick? I was hoping to install c-rom 4.4 onto my phone but its been taking a while to load up. It shows the c-rom logo, but I get inpatient after about 15 minutes of waiting. So I end up going into recovery. Is there another way I could update and keep my root?
Help would really be appreciated
Anyone?
I use stock rom and update with Mobile Odin . I Keep root with it
Hi all,
I did search before posting this, but couldn't find quite the question/answer I was looking for. I've got a rooted S4 SPH-L720.
I've got a custom ROM installed, Sacs 4.3, and the phone has been fine. I just got the system update downloaded and the button to install it. I've got TWRP as my recovery right now.
Last time I had one of these I just turned off notifications, but wasn't sure if this is an important update, or what it even updates? Is it only for phones running Stock?
Thanks,
-Jeff
I stock rooted a long time ago on MJE 4.3 I deleted the stock updater so it would stop bugging me to upgrade to the then "unrootable" 4.4 upgrade and to prevent my LTE signal from going to crap since I have a launch day Note3.
Can anyone confirm that I can go to Lollipop without radio issues like the Kitkat update had for launch day models? What process do I need to follow to go from 4.3 to 5.0?
Thanks!
