[Q] VegaCream for Advent Vega - too sensative touch - Vega General

Hi there I have downloaded VegaCream for Advent Vega ROM and really like the ROM at the moment but to only thing driving me nuts is that every now and then if I use the keyboard (any keyboards and I have tried a few) say if i type hello I type h and then it will do 2 or 3 h's and then e again about 2 or 3 e's - and then when I m swiping up screen it will select where my finger first laid and open/select that - im pretty sure its something to do with the screen being over sensative to touch, does anyone know if there is a fix out there please otherwise i am gonna have to go back to vega stock rom and I dont really want to do that if i can avoid it. Thanks.

Phone Pad problems!

Hey there guys,
Got an irritating problem with Phone Pad which I need help with.
Im using the one from the FTP site: PhonePad_Magician_Generic_WWE_RC12.CAB
Here's my problem.
I cant use it, its that simple  If I have the keyboard up and want to switch to the PhonePad it may do one out of two things.
1. Nothing. The keyb. remains, still usable
2. It switches to half the phone pad, parts of it displays but is not usable. Neither can I switch back to the keyb. A soft reset is needed.
I have the latest Qtek ROM, with BS of course I had this problem before I applied BS as well. I have lots of memory left so that shouldnt be the issue...hopefully.
Anyone experienced this problem as well and have a solution for it?
Thanks a lot!
Cheers

neo interface on toucchscreen?

ok my husband a few weeks ago bricked my wing because he wanted the shadow (neo) interface on the phone ...after i fixed the phone and explained to him that you can't rom phones with any rom and he asked why with all of the things we do here on xda....( he calls me an avid xda addict that needs a 12 step program lol) can't we make a simple touch screen carasol interface replicate it some how....so i was wondering for his sake is it possible is it something we could possibly do...not put the interface on our phone oboviousally cuz its impossible being a smartphone and all but...replicate it somewho?
Hi, have u tried Ultimate Launcher??
i have but everything that is usually made is left to right not up/down like the carasol

[question] Touchscreen limitations in NAND

Hi to all, searched along the forum but no answers found for that...
I was just wondering why when we passed from WinMo+SD to Nand the touchscreen started to recognize 2 point near each other as one single point: if the fingers are too near in one coordinate, IE quite same Y coord, doesn't matter X coord, the Y coord became the same for both fingers and you aren't able to keep them divided (found this while playing SliceIt, but also dev tools shows the problem)
When we were off the SD there wasn't that problem! I'm not asking for a fix, just wanted to know why that happens, it's because the missing ts-calibration file we had in every winmo+SD rom?

The HD2 always had that issue with it's multitouch... even in Winmo. It was there with SD builds too.

Vega drivers for Amico?

Hi everyone
I had the little sister of the Vega - Amico , I need to do a hard reset, cant work out how ? Advent wont talk to me as I dont have the receipt.
Anyone know how to do this? Is it the same drivers and way as the Vega?
Thanks everyone
The amico runs android 2.1 and uses a different chipset, so the Vega software will not work. You should be able to hard reset from within the settings menu.
Hi
Thanks for your reply, the problem is I have a lock on the home screen, I bought it locked and was hoping to flash to get rid of said lock !
If nothing comes up from a search, I would email advent. Maybe they can provide you with a link to the amico software, they should do that even without proof of purchase. Just say you got it second hand. Good luck.

Screenproblems and a Customwarequestion...

I have a Viewsonic Viewpad 10s and some problems with the screen, I flashed at first the version Vegacomb 9n + Update 3. At the beginning it was wonderful but then the screen does not work properly. Even after a reboot did not care much. I went to ClockworkmodRecovery and flashes Honey Ice, it was back to normal. Some time later came the same problem, can someone tell me what it is?
The other question is, what ROM is to recommend the best? The tab is a Christmas present, I do not want to have again after 2 days because it is not reasonable ...
I am in a German forum, but there are not really someone who has the problem with the screen ...

I had the same problem with my Viewpad 10s with Vegacomb, HoneyIce and newer roms. One of the original issues was using it while it was plugged into the charger the screen became either unresponsive, or would randomly apply keystrokes that were not touched. Two people posted solutions, heating the outside of the tab with a hair dryer, and putting more pressure on the tab (squeezing the case) as you were touching the screen. I did find the extra pressure did help, but it was crazy trying to get the pressure just right. also noticed that screen worked differently in portrait and landscape mode. I often had to use portrait mode to slide the unlock across, while landscape would not allow the tab to unlock.
I decided to "downgrade" the rom to stock, it worked, then to modified stock, it worked but had some touchscreen inconsistencies, then to Corvus 5 rom, which I read somewhere solved other peeps touchscreen problems. Once I got Corvus 5 up and unlocked, I used his screen recalibration tool in apps and everything works perfect. I've been up and running for a month with no touchscreen problems. I even backed up Corvus 5, and tried Vegacomb and HoneyIce again. They worked for a couple of days, and then tab went back to touchscreen issues. I'm thinking it's a kernel sensitivity issue, but I'm know expert, and it's not happening on enough tabs for devs to take as a serious issue.
Hope this helps!!
you are one of the lucky ones man..i tried Corvus 5, true the method you described and still have the issues, well..actually i tried every single Rom and no luck.
I know it's mostly a hardware problem, the only differences in Rom's is the heating they produce, some more, some less..so depending on how bad your case is, you might find a balance and make it work for some time..or no time..
By the way, anyone knows if it's possible to disable the touchscreen inputs, from terminal, adb commands or maybe some app?
