Headset Button Issue - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have the Verizon variant running stock OTA rooted. I've had this issue before and after rooting. The issue occurs when using headphones with headset buttons (Samsung, Beats, even Apple). When I press the pause/play button while listening to music or even when music is not playing when the device is in quiet or silent mode, the device will go off of silent mode. Sound will be turned on when the device is supposed to be on quiet mode. This is caused when the headset pause/play button is pressed. Can anybody else recreate this issue?
If so, how can this be fixed?

Are these tweaks possible on the hermes?

1. I'd like to be able to switch my phone on from standby using a button other than the power button on the side,e.g., the d-pad centre button. Any way to re-assign this? I think I can reassign it to switch the phone off, but not back on again.
2. I never use speakerphone and I'll shortly be getting some bluetooth headphones and I've heard that occasionally if there's a problem re-establishing the pairing after a phonecall interrupts music then the audio starts blaring out of the speaker. Is there any way to disable the speaker on the phone without actually muting it?

Dongle mute button issues

All,
I have an issue when I am on the phone and press the dongle mute button it starts the music player. Obviously, this causes an issue as I have music playing in the headphones while the call is going on. Any ideas on how to disable this? I have a mytouch3g running cyanmod4.0.4 and the hero community remix theme.
Is this the right behavior
Can anyone confirm that this is how the phone should act? When you are on a call using the supplied dongle and headset, if you push the mute button on the dongle should it start the music player? Then if you press it again it will stop. This coincides with the phone going on and off of mute. Obviously a big issue since the music starts playing in the headphones while a call is going on.
Just trying to see if this is the correct behavior or if there is an issue/bug/setting for my setup. Cyan4.04 w/hero comm mix theme

[Q] Wired headset button keeps launching/playing ringtones with stock music app.

AS the title would suggest, I'm having a small issue with my headset button.
I got my G2 today and while excellent, my previous phone, HTC One, would react perfectly to the headset button.
I use doggcatcher often and when pressing the button on the One, the podcast would play or pause perfectly. I could remove my headset and an hour later connect it back, hit the button and back playing where it left off.
With the G2 the damn music app keeps playing and it will play the choir ringtones. Even if I am playing a podcast in Doggcatcher and I hit the button the music player will interrupt Doggcatcher to play the ringtone.
Is there a fix for this? Or a way to disable the build in stock music player which I will NEVER use.
Solved it

What was the fix?
What was the fix for this? I am having a similar issue, but my headset will only launch the dialer and I can't figure out how to make ANY music or podacst app respond to my wired headset button.

Low audio volume after finished using bluetooth and turning it off

Did a search and didn't see this problem discussed...
My Moto X Pure has great audio volume by itself through its own speakers, until...
My problems arise after turning on bluetooth, connecting to something such as my car's radio or my Vizio bluetooth sound bar, listening to music a little bit or even a while and then turning off bluetooth and just using my phone normally. When I return to using my phone normally, my audio is so low. I can barely hear any notifications, lock/unlock sounds, music, etc. All volume sliders are still turned all the way up but still, low audio.
Again, this only happens after I've used bluetooth audio, stopped using it and returned to regular phone speaker operation.
The only fix I've found, and it's not a fix obviously, is to reboot the phone. Audio is back to normal, loud after the reboot. But then connect it via bluetooth to something and play music, stop, turn off bluetooth, the audio is once again verrrryyyyy low even though all volume sliders are all the way up.
Anyone else having this problem?

Volume Question

So I have noticed for some reason on my phone when ever I hang up a phone call my phones automatically goes into silent/vibrate mode and I have to manually turn the sound back up has anyone else noticed this issue
Mine has done it before. I don't know what caused it, but did a factory reset and it worked for me.
Speaking about volume, I noticed that when I hook anything to the headphone jack, I have to put the volume on the phone 100% to hear anything. Anyone else experienced this?
Update: I use PowerAmp as my music player and I had to enable an experimental option called hires output and that made the volume increase to what appears to be normal levels as opposed to having to increase the volume to 100%.
