If you still can get into your ROM then disable reactivation lock. If not - write (older?) stock in Odin, wipe everything and then on first restart you should have a dialog to disable reactivation lock (it will only work using the same samsung account used to enable it).

1. asked before, just to reconfirm : which CF-Autoroot version you are using ? the 4.4.2 right ?
3. did you follow the instructions on how to flash through ODIN ?
2. have you uncheck the Reactivation Lock inside security setting ?
Normally if following his step with a correct files, u should be fine.

Try to go into download mode. See down there whether ur reactivation lock is on or off.
If on, don't do anything like rooting or custom recovery or custom rom.
Try to look for reactivation lock option first to off it.

Its 4.4.2 kitkat , n900pvpucnab . Evidently i think some firmwares versions do not have the reactivation lock. Im just getting ready to try to root again, i am confused about witch cf auto root to try and use. Cf has updated files now:
https://plus.google.com/+Chainfire/posts/NuBxE9dEeXv
the last time i tried was with the CF-Auto-Root-hltespr-hltespr-smn900p tar, but someone said to use the smn9005 tar. :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=51446272&postcount=1392
What to do ?
* Also i am worried about this note :
UNLOCK BOOTLOADERS
If you have locked bootloaders, flashing one of these will probably brick your device - with the exception of Nexus devices, which will usually automatically "OEM unlock" and wipe your data !

Not sure if its locked version. How to unlock ?
I downloaded the updated cf root, both the 9005 and 900, retried root thru oden with the new 900 and it failed, got message in red "unsupport dev type", the blue bar was stuck at the halfway mark. Did batt pull and on reboot triangle : reboot firmware upgrade encountered an issue, select recovery mode in keis and try again". keiv could not find device and said "connected device not supported".tried to do emergency recovery but i have no code to use and it no show my device anyway. I went back into download mode and connected with oden and flashed the 9005 tar, and that got me phone back up. Refollowed those other instructions: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=51446272&postcount=1392&nocache=1&z=288570789389558,
and i just got to the factory wipe and reflash in oden. its auto updating apps right now, im waiting now to install root checker and see if indeed i may have root.

I didn't understand if you are facing issue with rooting your phone or installing custom recovery? And which android version is installed on your phone and which method did you follow to root your phone?
I was running 4.4, and while doing both root and recovery i was facing issue in odin, it used to get stuck at reset. But now i uncheckd the auto-reboot option and now its working

But i didnt understand 1 thng, that when I unchecked auto-reboot option although it installed the TWRP recovery, but still PASS didnt come there, it was still stuck on reset.. What is the problem here, as i may also face it in future when updating TWRP

If you have sucessfully flash twrp you don't need to use odin again to flash another recovery you can do it by flashing it from the same recovery. You'd only need ODIN when you cant access your recovery and need to enter download mode to flash recovery.I hope you are using img.tar file to flash twrp via odin and not .zip

My device model has been changed

Hi Everyone,
I do apologize first if this is a dumb question.
I just flash my T-mobile S5 with an international ROM. Everything is working great but I have noticed my device model has been changed to SM-G900F instead of G900T. Is it ok? And what could I do to get the correct device model back? Thanks
It's fine. If you wish to change it you'll need to change the ro.product.model line in /system/build.prop.

I'm not sure this can help you cuz I'm also a newbie but this is what I did
I use Odin to root my phone first
Use Odin to flash the recovery
Then use Recovery to flash the custom ROM

Yeah, you shouldn't have gone in odin to change your device name That easily could have been done with a file manager's build prop editor. Now the reason why you can't flash your rom via odin is most likely because you checked a box called reactivation lock in the security section. If you're able to turn on your phone go and uncheck that box and you should be ok to flash via odin. If you can't boot try recovery/restore.

Reactivation lock wont turn on

Hello,
i just got my note 4 yesterday and i have rooted the device using chainfire. when i try to turn on the Reactivation Lock, the checkbox does not checked
any help would be appreciated
If you have flash custom recovery Reactivation Lock not work!
i have flashed custom kernel which is cf auto root. i still have stock recovery but getting "dm-verity verification failed...."
EDIT: after reboot. i can enable reactivation lock. really strange.
I also had rooted my device and knox was not working anymore...
I updated with Samsung kies on my computer (to latest firmware)and now it's working again and stock again.
I wait for android 5.0 because i rooted for my sd card and es explorer.
And annoying advertise
Sent from my SM-N910C using XDA Free mobile app
Personally I wouldn't enable reactivation lock as I think it would make it much harder to recover your phone should it get bricked (you can't flash in ODIN mode until it is disabled afaik).
Also, if you install a custom recovery, reactivation lock is useless, as the recovery can be used to bypass it.

help neede sm-n9005 stuck on samsung logo after root

i was rooting my phone initially and it got stuck and would not continue so i restarted it by powering off.
then i tried to root again cause when i checked if my phone has been rooted by checking with root checker it said root access not properly installed on this device. so tried to root the third time and after rebooting my phone got stuck on samsung logo. it just stayed there so i checked to see if it was rooted already with root checker but still nothing same message.
can anyone please help.
