My GE was updated OTA to KitKat a few days ago and I hate it. Tried restoring factory data settings but the phone still has 4.4
In addition, I tried looking for a stock official 4.2 ROM for this device to flash - but couldn't find anything.
Is there any way to downgrade the current OS to stock 4.2?
Thanks

Hi there,
I'm currently running CM 10.1 with mako.Kernel on my N4 and want to switch to 4.3 rooted.
Can I simply wipe my device and flash a new 4.3 stock rom from the Google developers website and root it afterwards?
Do I first need to get back to stock 4.2.2. to be able to flash the latest version?
Cheers
Hello, I am looking for a Google Edition ROM for my i9505.
I have been using Jamal's 4.3 ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2348272), but when I tried to get the 4.4 OTA, it did not work, as I now know is stated by Jamal in his/her post.
Does anyone know where I can get the completely stock ROM from the i9505G, so that I can get OTA updates, either for 4.3 to update to 4.4, or 4.4 itself?
You won't be able to get official OTA updates with those ports because the i9505G has a different bootloader. You will have To flash updates manually.
Please correct me if I'm wrong
I updated my s4 to Android 4.3 days ago.
And I found it hard to downgrade to Android 4.2.2.
Now I have the 4.2.2 backup generated by my recovery, and the EFS backup file from 4.3.
So how can I downgrade to Official 4.2.2?
Thanks.
Why downgrade?
Update to the latest kk http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2377129
Its smooth and faster than the nexus 5 running on stock in my opinion.

will i lose any data?
and what about the stock recovery?
thanks for your help
My Recommendation for you in this case
Go to 4.3.
4.4.2 is Very Buggy and will mess up your phone!

1. Download your .kdz file by entering your IMEI, here.
2. Return to Stock Firmware.
