Hi there,
I'm currently running CM 10.1 with mako.Kernel on my N4 and want to switch to 4.3 rooted.
Can I simply wipe my device and flash a new 4.3 stock rom from the Google developers website and root it afterwards?
Do I first need to get back to stock 4.2.2. to be able to flash the latest version?
Cheers

Hello,
New user to a Nexus 4. I have unlocked and rooted the phone, have cwm installed for my custom recovery. I am currently running MIUIv5 however I am thinking of switching to a much lighter/less bloated rom such as the latest CM.
I bought the phone factory set, I am 99% sure it had 4.3 installed but I can't be 100% sure as I had rooted the phone the rom bug hit me!!
So, to flash a 4.3 rom such as CM10.2 do I need a baseband upgrade?
Currently on: M9615A-CEFWMAZM-2.0.1700.84
Thanks,
Looks like you are already on the latest baseband so there is no need to flash one.
Thank you
Hello, I am looking for a Google Edition ROM for my i9505.
I have been using Jamal's 4.3 ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2348272), but when I tried to get the 4.4 OTA, it did not work, as I now know is stated by Jamal in his/her post.
Does anyone know where I can get the completely stock ROM from the i9505G, so that I can get OTA updates, either for 4.3 to update to 4.4, or 4.4 itself?
You won't be able to get official OTA updates with those ports because the i9505G has a different bootloader. You will have To flash updates manually.
Please correct me if I'm wrong
My GE was updated OTA to KitKat a few days ago and I hate it. Tried restoring factory data settings but the phone still has 4.4
In addition, I tried looking for a stock official 4.2 ROM for this device to flash - but couldn't find anything.
Is there any way to downgrade the current OS to stock 4.2?
Thanks

What issue you had?
I think you have flash the 4.2.2 rom...
Just out of pure curiosity is there any easy way to go from 4.2.2 with root and custom recovery to 4.3? I mostly want to keep root because i am running stock TouchWiz anyway. Or if thats not possible what is the best way to to go back to pure stock locked recovery un-rooted to update to 4.3?

There are plenty of 4.3 and 4.4 roms available that you can flash. Look under Android Developement and original Android development. If you unroot and ota i Believe it will lock your boot loader and you won't be able to change your mind and put a custom recovery back on your phone. You can get the ota release on a custom rom

Hi all,
I'm sick of waiting for an OTA update to take my 4.2.2 G2 up to 4.4.2 and wanted to do it myself. I don't need anything fancy, just a good clean stock 4.4.2 ROM I can flash to. Currently my phone is stock, so there's no root, no recovery, nothing.
Which ROM can I use safely for this?
