I have various bluetooth devices such as my earpiece, car audio, audio speakers downstairs, audio speakers upstairs, etc..
Is there a way to select one of these components quickly besides the normal route Settings, Connections, Bluetooth, then selecting the device I want?
Is there a way to create a shortcut for each of my bluetooth devices and I would only need to tap on the shortcut in order to activate that connection?
Thanks

Is there any way to stream phone calls using the wireless stereo profile? Whenever a call comes in I have to used the speaker on the handset instead of just using the actual bluetooth speakers that I have music streaming to. So what I would like to do is have is have audio from my phone call stream to the speakers will using the speaker phone. Possible??
ok, let me understand this...
you have BT stereo headset, correct?
Which ones?
I use the Moto S9 stereo headset and when a call comes in, the music stops, and I get BT audio over the headset just as if it was a normal BT mono headset

No I have a insignia bluetooth adapter for ipod dock. I have my ipod hooked up in my car and it streams audio from my phone but when a call comes in it switches back to the phone's speaker. I want it to continue stream all audio even if it has to mute the music to let the audio for the call come through. I want to here the person calling me streaming through my car speakers.

probably because the BT adapter doesn't have the "Handsfree" profile, it most likely only has "Wireless Stereo" profile. On your phone, go into settings > connections > bluetooth and find the device on the lilst, click-n-hold the device name to bring up the menu, select edit. What profiles are listed?

there's you problem...
BT has several profiles, Handsfree, Wireless Stereo, PAN, File Sharing, etc...
Each device must be able to handle the different types of profiles to do the specific task. The problem is, the manufactuirer of the device only puts in the profiles that are needed for that type of device. So in your case, it was never designed to be used in that manner, hence they never bulit in the "Handsfree" profile.
My S9 Bluetooth stereo headset was designed to be able to produce stereo audio AND be able to recieve calls, therefore it has both "Wireless Stereo" and "Handsfree" profiles.
The Insignia NS-BTHDP stereo bluetooth headset has music and phone calls in stereo and its cheaper than the s9.

I read both threads and the wiki....got nothing from it. Am I missing something? The only thing that shows up in my bluetooth menu is the wireless stereo profile. I'm trying to get both music and phone calls to stream while using the microphone on the phone. If I'm mising some please let me know
Me too
I've a Motorola Q and a "Stereo Headset" device that allows me to listen to media audio, dialing and tones on my car stereo. However, I cannot get the audio of a phone call to go through this device.
I also would like to choose what microphone and what speaker is being used when on a call, especially for the hour-long teleconferences I participate in at least twice a week during rush hour traffic.
Any possible way to play songs through cars bluetooth and speakers? Especially pandora
I'm running community rom 1.3

Your car has to be able to receive streaming bluetooth audio, not just phone calls.
Yea your stereo will need a2dp bluetooth support.
There are a few apps on the Market that accomplish this by taking all the A2DP channels and merging them into one mono channel (super bt mono, btmono, bluetooth switcher, etc. most have free trials). You can check those out. Last time I did they worked but were unreliable and I got tired of fiddling. For instance generally you have to turn it on just before and off just after use, but even then sometimes I got nasty static, a crash, or nothing at all. This functionality should have been a standard android feature imo because there aren't enough good A2DP options. Why shouldn't a typical bt device be able to offer the function of a simple corded model!?
I don't have any problem streaming Bluetooth audio (media) through just the stock BT settings menu. No need for a third party app...
Phone connects to my car via bluetooth for calls only as headunit doesn't do audio.
I want to add a bluetooth receiver to the car for audio (belkin bluetooth caraudio connect) while still be able to use my headunit for calls.
Is this possible? Or will the phone only allow one audio device at a time?
I would only be using one audio device at a time, but they would both need to be constantly connected
Did you double check that audio is enabled for your car bluetooth? In the N4's settings.
And after trying, I can't get 2 BT devices to connect at the same time.
I have 2 bluetooth devices currently connected to my N4, jabra wave headset for phone audio and jambox for media audio, works perfectly. Just have to go into the bluetooth profiles for each and disable the audio you don't want (ie phone audio for headunit, and media audio for belkin) Not 100% sure it will work with your devices, but certainly can be done with some.

Hey,
Perfect exactly what I want to hear before making the purchase
Cheers
I cannot find a way (setting, app, thread, etc.) to be able to select where the app's audio (ie Navigation) ouputs too when connected to car bluetooth. Like most car stereos, Bluetooth Audio is it's own input in my 09 TSX. Sometimes I want to be on XM and listening to turn-by-turn navigation through phone speaker while receiving calls via bluetooth. I hope I'm not being confusing.
Anything out there to select app's audio output?

I'm not aware of an app to do app-specific routing but you can go go Bluetooth in the Settings menu, then to your paired device settings screen and deselect Media Audio. Then the phone will only send calls to your paired device. Of course you can do the reverse as well.

Does the Audio Path toggle come and go for anyone else? I just noticed it. It's super convenient when present especially when I wanna switch from Bluetooth headset to speakers to share a song or video with friends.
Yup only there when more than one path available, very nice feature, voice control of it would be cool

Noticed the same today. The other day had it available in the car, when connected to Bluetooth but listening to radio, wanted sound through phone speakers and worked great
Today, the audio path option has gone, but still connected the same to the stereo ... Ideas?

Is Your quick connect still enabled, that's what will make the audio path option show up when multiple options are available
Solution
Open samsung connect
Go to settings in that app
Switch samsung connect panel
Done
Enjoy
