Can anybody please upload the original Life's good ringtone and the good morning tone because I am on a custom ROM and those are the only things I miss from the stock ROM. If you can't upload anywhere else just private message me so I can give you my mail address.

Hi guys, i am new to this forum and after going through some of the threads i can say that this is a gr8 forum to find help regarding ppc phones. Hence, I hope that someone could solve the problem i have been having with my sms ringtone.
I just bought an Imate Jamin a week back and i am definitely loving it. Anyways, the first thing i did, is make a few custom incoming call and sms ringtones and set it up on my device. Now the incoming call ringtones are working as usual but the sms ringtones have a problem. A particular sms ringtone is around 15-20 secs long, and when i recieve a new sms, the ringtone keeps playin even after opening a new sms and also after closing it.
As far as i know from previous experience, the ringtone should stop playing once i have pressed the appropriate button to open the sms. My friends are using the same sms ringtones on their nokia and motorolla phones but they dont have such problems. Anyone have any ideas as to what the problem might be.
I can't answer you this question but have a request: do you have some nice sms ringtones to share with me??
I would appreciate....
Thanks!
Yeah sure man. I 'll give you the one i am using at the moment. However, the ringtone is in wav format and i cant seem to upload wav files on this site. You might have to give me your email add or if you know a better way to send the files to you pls let me know.
Also if you want some really cool ringtones and other stuff, go and take a look at this site http://homesite.mobile9.com/
Thanks for the site! I sent you a private message with my e-mail.
All the best to you & New Zealand!
Right guys, im after a bit of help here, i need a different sound for when i get a new email, so that i can tell if the message is an sms or an email.
Ive had a listen through the OEM ones on the tytn but none are really any good, so just wondered what everyone is using? To give you all an idea, i am a mobile pc engineer so i around customers all day long so it cant be anything silly.
What are peoples thoughts?
Most of the phone sounds ive got on mine are ripped from the star trek lcars console sounds......prolly not appropriate!?
haha i wish i could mate, but your right, probably would be best if the customer hears "beam me up scotty!"
Try this, I use this for SMS and a normal WM5 sound for email.
Rob

Works for me

Problem: My phone doesn't chime (or give a notification ring) when I receive and e-mail?
Answer: This seems to be a problem with this build. I'm not 100% sure about the cause, but some have had success using a different e-mail client. If you are rooted, you might want to pull the e-mail client from Nero V3 and use it instead. See: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=10790592&highlight=e-mail+sound#post10790592. If you are not rooted, you might consider a different application, such as Touchdown.

Or you could just update gmail in matket then open it and go into settings and scroll down to notification then set the notification you want. This what I do but ive never had this issue im running the newest masters rom

Turn off notification in the stock sms settings and set shady as your default sms app.

Come on... You remove all of my posts... Shady sms is a secret app or private space... They must be default but in g3 they cant... Do you understand? My problem is it...
Come again?
Semantics gave you an answer which is correct, unless your question was something else? As you said yourself, your English is sometimes a bit hard to read.
You can choose which SMS app should be your default, but they'll all receive notification about incoming SMS'es. If you don't wish for more than one of them to notify you, you'll have to disable that within that app's config.
(Alternatively, root your phone and simply freeze the SMS facility you don't want to be using.)
