[Q] [Discussion]Galaxy Note 3 Game Supporting - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello people, I want to discuss about the Galaxy Note's gaming experience, I invite everyone to join us and talk about it.
I saw on some YouTube videos that the phone doesn't support some of the games, these games end up with crashing in the middle of game-play, or some deformations in the 3d meshes, etc...
This video shows some of the stuff I'm talking about:
What do you think about gaming on your phone, does it give a better gaming experience than the S4?
For someone who wants a Gaming Smartphone, is Galaxy Note III a good choice?

Best gaming phone
Note3 is the best gaming phone i came across.

Couldn't agree more buddy, due to its very high performance, I believe it won't have any issue running the most demanding mobile games on the market today.

N.O.V.A. 3 and poor framerate?

Hello there. I finally got me this wonderful tablet...I wanted something small, well built, and possibly with tegra 3, mainly for the gaming exclusives that Tegra means.
I didn't buy the tablet for gaming of course, but it is something I like in general. The first thing I tried has been Epic Citadel. The benchmark gave me solid 55fps average in high quality.
Then I tried a game that didn't really run well on my Galaxy Note 1: NOVA3 from gameloft.
I know Gameloft games are not really well programmed, at least not as solid as EA products (dead space, ME infiltrator and NFS most wanted to say a few)....I played most of them on my old Desire HD, and then on the galaxy note. Some of them would not run well on the Note. I am someone that feels a big difference between 30fps and 60fps...that's why I play on PC. I don't need 60 fps on a mobile game of course, the main point of my thread is:
how can a game like NOVA 3 stutter that way on the nexus 7? From a quad core tegra 3 processor I was expecting something much different....it runs the same way it runs on the galaxy note, PLUS it has no depth of field. I watched the introduction, on the galaxy note the soldier was totally sharp, and the background was out of focus. On the nexus 7 somehow this feature is disabled (of course no way to change it in the options).
Anyway, this is not what I was expecting from such a powerful device. I know game could have been programmed better (not even sure if it uses all the 4 cores).....but what is your opinion?
I don't need to play NOVA3 this bad...it is just a curiosity, something that I would rather have explained to me. I am also quite sure the same game would run flawless on an iphone....never seen it though, i just suppose.
I am also aware of that kind of 'lag fix', which is anyway not recommended. I am on stock rom with root permission.
YOU CAN'T
GAMELOFT CAN
optimization is bad,veeeery bad ;(
You can't fix it,every game from gameloft on Tegra 3 have 15fps ;(

There is no need to compare. The fact is there. You can take iphone4 and S3 out of the comparison, they are way behind... Galaxy S4 will load faster than the One.
S4 I9500 has the fatest CPU at the moment, no one can beat it.
While I do agree on the hardware side. On the software side. It is a totally not true. Even with the exynos octa and 2 gigs of ram. Web browsing in iphone5 is superior. My s4 also lags from time to time and shows animation stutter which is the fault of crappy firmwares and touchwiz from samsung.

What are some good games for Note 3?

Just picked up my Note 3 today here in Australia - loving it so far.
I have never been a big gamer on a smartphone but this screen is so nice I feel I should try some games on the Note 3
What are some good suggestions people might have?
Tks

start with real racing 3
Plague is a little gory, but a real rendition of how a virus/bacteria could take over the world.
And if you play Golf, Golfstar is the best golf game on Android.

Asphalt 8 on high settings.

Oh, and don't forget to get an awesome controller! For those unaware, Moga is coming out with newer generation controllers in a few weeks, check here to see them http://store.mogaanywhere.com/Main/Default
I found that the TouchArcade.com forums are pretty exhaustive in terms of game info, just look for the ones that are a universal or android app.

Plays all GBC games.
i play mostly minion rush and samurai versus zombies 2 hahahaha.
Need for Speed: Most Wanted, Middle Manager of Justice and Tiny Thief. I'm also a big fan of Minion Rush but be warned they will try to get money out of you at every turn but I guess that is the nature of F2P mobile games. I would just much rather pay 6.99 then to have ads and cash shop items pushed in my face at every turn.
Real racing 3 looks the best on the note 3's screen. But be prepared to spend a fortune on the game in stupid in app purchases to get anywhere, repair or car or order a new car. Same with Fifia 14 good game (No ref?! on the pitch Wtf is with that) and ingame purchases to play the teams you want too.
Clash of clans
This is the only game im playing on my note 2 right now. Soon When i get my note 3.
Modern combat 4 is now 69p on play store

Android and MAX settings
According to 3D mark my iPad 4 is 50% slower but game graphics are like a PS4 (iPad) compared to a PS3 (Note 10.1)
Android sucks when it comes to games.
Much easier to make a game for 3-4 devices.
For Android... Well just make it, so it runs even on slow devices... put in some options and call them high or HD for the mid range.
And guess what 99% belive that the high option means good graphics until they see the games on an Ipad 4...
And even I don't wanna see what the Ipad air with more than twice the power is capable of, cause sure I would sell my Ipad 4...
Don't get me wrong 90% of the time am using my Note cause it's just better at most things except gaming

Yea thats true about some games on android which are made primarily with ios in mind, where high or max are not the same as they are on ios, I'm not sure but I think San Andreas is running at a much higher resolution on the ipad. I guess the plus side would be you do get a variety of controller and screen size/color options on android.

Asphalt 8 looks and plays just as well on my note 10.1 2014 as it does on the iPad Air. So does NFSMW, RR3, Riptide GP 2, Galaxy on Fire 2 etc. Also, when I can hook up a gamepad to the iPad and play my PsOne, SNES, GBA, DS, and NES games then I will call the iPad a true gaming machine. iPad doesn't compare to the note 10.1 2014; it just doesn't.

Couldn't agree more. I'm half way through Final Fantasy IX, not on an iPad!
Also the 4:3 aspect ratio of the iPad means, that a lot of games are being zoomed in and cut off at the sides (Asphalt 8 for example) compared to 16:10 on the Note.
It really is time that devs start to make games for Android first. The issue is that games are made for IOS and then ported to Android. But the Android user base is growing and ios is stagnating.
It's already a lot better than a year ago though. I love gaming on my note 10.1 with the MOGA pro. It's like a real little console especially with the great emulators. Played through ff vii on my sgs3. It was just great. But you do get afew weird looks when playing in public, wwhich isn't necessarily a bad thing
As far as HD graphics goes. Give me a smooth and fast gameplay and I won't care about a slight graphic increase. I used to be a die hard Tegra guy due to the extra graphic enhancement in some games. From TF201, TF700, to TF701. I thought I would miss those extra enhancement and I really didnt when I returned the tf701 for the note. Once I'm playing my focus turns to the game play and don't even notice the lack of extra enhancement after a while.

general thoughts performance experience.

Hi all, i've decided to purchase a tablet, and OFC has to be android, but there are tons of tablets. I'm really searching and digging deep to check what will be the best for my money on 10.1 screens dont wnat a 7/8" i've read several comments that the Tf701t has amazin specs teoretically but falls short on 3d gaming performance on demanding games, and the tf700t does quite a decent job but is not much of a difference with this one.
to the owners of the asus tf300t how is the gaming experience with games, i mean demanding games like GT Racing 2 , CSR Racing, Nova 3, Wilblood, MC4, Dead Triggers. NFS, GTA SA, run some emulators .. ????
the extra FB / Internet / normal games i believe it does perform decent enough for the specs.
please share your thoughts.

the tf700 offers a better experience if you want those high framerates for demanding games. Personally, I use the 300 for productivity and light gaming so it works fine. .
