I have been using adguard to remove ads from youtube and other websites, but AdAway also seems to be an interesting app as its names signifies. Thanks for the bulk of information. I'll also give it a try.

not sure if theres anything out there for the 230nu? but I was curious if there was anyway to get the framework for this device, Ive never used exposed other than a slight dabble with it on my Galaxy Note i717 ! Anyone have any knowldege of this ? I am rooted , and I do have TWRP , however the TWRP I have is useless as it cant do anything! If theres another copy of recovery out there Id be willing to try that out as well, I dont actually use the Tab all that much , I have too much fun on my OnePlus One
I don't really understand your question all to well, but to my knowledge the Xposed framework should work on all devices. I have the 8" tab 4 and Xposed is installed as are multiple modules. The xposed framework is just an APK, which I believe makes it universal. Hopefully this helps with your question.
Just find the xposed apk, move it to your device and install the apk. Then you should install/update the framework and reboot your device. Should be completely done with everything after that besides installing whatever modules you want. I'd suggest checking the subforum for it and you should have all your answers there.
I've never used xposed before but I thought it would be easier than flashing a ROM. Where do I get it an SM-T230NU & what are the best modules?
Just search for the xposed forum on XDA and then you download it. I use wanam xposed module to kill camera sound and to do a few other useful tweaks and one or two other modules just for giggles like the hodor module.
Sent from my SM-T230NU using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
There's a warning before trying to install the module. Forget exactly what it said but something to the effect of not compatible with the system.

Pm me if you want me to email you the screenshot of the whole thing. Thanks in advance for the help.

Sorry for reviving a dead thread... I just recently picked up a TAB 4 (SM-T230NU) and also am having some confusion on installing xposed. I am rooted, and using Android 4.4.2. When using the APK it will not allow me to install the framework, with the message "xposed is not compatible w/ android apk version 19 or your processor architecture (armeabi-v7a). Etc..." ...
Anyone able to help me on getting Xposed on this device WITHOUT updating my android version?

Well guys I dnt know if this is right place to post this..but this error is very usual for rooted phones and you are unable to login..well I faced it too so what I did was:
1) uninstall xposed framework (u can keep the modules ) just remove the xposed installer and framework
2) you can download the xposed framework uninstaller from the link below:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811
3)after uninstall..install Snapchat again from playstore and login..you will be able to login again
4) after you login..install xposed framework again and xposed installer..and reboot.
5) after installing..select all ur modules and yay..it will be working
Hope this is new thread and not an old..well I did research and found on a forum but not on xda so moderators u can delete or move it up to you.

I had it working, but it was a little hit and miss. It would cause a few moderate issues like when I tap an app it would try to open and then just disappear. I would have to tap the app a good 3 or 4 times to get it to actually open.
Also was about 50/50 on which modules actually worked. I really wanted gravity box most, it didn't work. GB Nougat is still highly experimental though.
Thanks for update and reply I was just about to install , it is a pity, I will have to wait more

hey! is there a bug free version of youtube for the fire tablet?
the official youtube apk keeps freezing when I switch to my subscriptions and the one Amazon provides is worse than the mobile website!
Get the Google Play framework/services/account manager/store APK files on your device, then just download the official YouTube tablet app from there.
YouTube and most other Google apps rely on the Play Services to function properly.
I use YouTube Vanced :[Magisk] iYTBP - Youtube Vanced [Official]

No- it doesn't require anything. I use it on a Fire HD8 (and everything else since it kills all the ads). You can check out the features here:[Magisk] iYTBP - Youtube Vanced [Official]
Mod Edit - No longer applies.
So which youtube version Is working with the hd 8 please and none root.?

if it no longer applies does that mean I don't have to sign in? No link anywhere in this thread anymore so I hope so.
came back to my Fire HD 8 (2017) after months to give to my father. running great with play store and bloat removed thanks to the Tool provided here
My only issue is I cant update it (which isn't surprising after running a tool like that) and for some reason cant install any apks unless form the app store (amazon store is gone) The installing apks part was new. Don't recall that being an issue. i even have "install from unknown sources" allowed in security and toggled it off and on between reboots.
My work around for Vanced and MicroG was throwing the apks in "Bloatware removal root folder"\Apps and then editing the Fire Tool.bat to include new option to install microg and vanced. I just copied the install commands for launcher/hijacker and edited to push the new APKs. very simple and worked perfectly.
Didn't try to logging in yet, was going to let me father try to use his account. If we can't it's not a deal breaker. ad free youtube on his tablet will work great. Really regretted buying this tablet at first but after XDAs help, its the best little tablet that could for under 50$.
PS. As for Vanced. Use it on my non-rooted One Plus 6 phone and love it. It's where I got the idea to install it on this tablet. Only odd thing is I installed the same apk on my phone as the tablet. The one on my phone applies the proper dark theme but the tablet doesn't. Again, not a deal breaker.

There is a Vanced mod for Magisk, but you can also go to the Vanced thread on XDA and download and install the non root Vanced. Apk that works on anything, along with the MicroG.apk in order to be able to sign into YouTube. I don't believe you need the MicroG.apk if you are rooted.
Hello friends,
is it possible to install xposed framework on LG G6 running Oreo? If yes, is there a guide topic for how to do it?
I especially want xposed framework to use Youtube Background Playback modification. Is there a way to run youtube in background without xposed framework? Thanks for your answers.

Download the latest version of iytbp & microg. No root required and its much better than any xposed mod I've ever used to emulate the same result (background playback etc)
Just Google: iytbp xda

Installing Oreo now, ill test it myself and report back with results, but it appears it is working... (https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g6/how-to/lg-g6-stock-oreo-root-xposed-t3795323/page2)
Edit: Cant install without stock recovery, cant find stock recovery.... attempting to download kdz and extract it...
Edit 2: Thanks Zefie, dirty flashed v20a zip, mostly everything working!
I installed xposed magisk module and xposed works perfectly.
cpu frequencies get locked for me if i install xposed, it only goes to 1500Mhz so it gets very laggy, when i unistall xposed it takes a while, but get's back to full power in a cuple of minutes

Can confirm, Xpsoed framework works fine for me aswell (SDK 26 from Magisk modules), some issues with FSBI, but seems to be on the apps end, everything else seems to works fine (Adaway for youtube, Dimensions Changer, XPrivacy Lua, and Xstana), not having problems with locked cpu clocks as mentioned.
So is there a topic for how to install magisk and xposed framework on our devices? I don't want to damage my LG G6 :/

Its pretty simple, (I believe the process is the same between H870 and US997).
Install magisk (if you dont have it already its just a matter of flashing the Magisk V16.0 zip in TWRP or similar recovery).
Go to 'downloads' tab in magisk, search for 'Xpsoed'.
Install the one by rovo89 titled "Xposed Framework (SDK 26)". *Note* I have tried the version that is supposed to work on multiple sdks, it installs with no issue but no apps can connect the the framework...
Reboot
Open Xposed Installer app (if not installed, just search for DVDandroid's Xposed Installer
Done!
I tried this on my recently flashed LG G6 Oreo 8.00 and the phone took ages to start up and basically froze. It was quite laggy so I uninstalled it within Magisk
