[Q] Did anyone try a 3900mah battery on S4? - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I want to buy a new battery (the original one got "fat") and I found this one
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3900mAh-U...901?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item4d15959b1d
... but I'm not sure if it is a good option... anyone used one? Is it better or should I get a genuine S4 battery?
Thank you!

I got the battery ... if you want to purchase one like this, please don't! It lasts less than the original Samsung battery (2600mah) so you better spend a bit more and get the original replacement, hope this will help you if you want to consider buying a "longer lasting" battery...

Get the zerolemon 3000mah. It lasts slightly longer than stock battery and is not too exp if you stay in the united states and don't need to pay too much for shipping.
I needed to pay for shipping but i still got it anyway.

question
are those bat suitable or not with stock slot? Have any one try those bat?

What replacement battery would you recommend for HTC Universal

Hi All,
Firstly, this is my first post, so please be gentle with me. (correction, I mean the first thread i have started)
I scoured the forum and have found lots of comments on the ilk of "my battery has failed at x%", but no-one seems to have made any comments on a replacement battery that they recommend or a web link that you could use to purchase one.
So, of you guys and girls that have bought a replacement, can you please give us the benefit of your experience regarding what you feel is great or what to avoid like the plague?
Thanks one and all!
James

Always buying the original battery is my recommendation
There is a member called Duke Nukem, he sells the originals and he´s reliable
Akku Polarcell
Hi,
I bought a new battery and everything works fine. I can use my universal with activated wlan till 0%. Also the charging-time decreased enormous. The battery comes from ebay (Germany).
Label: Akku Polarcell, For Qtek 9000, 3.7V Li-Polymer Battery, 1650mAh
Price: 14,90€
Seller: wannsee-electronic
Bye
I bought my battery from eBay - the cheapest one I could find. It works ok, but not as good as the original. I think others have had bad experiences and it seems really hit and miss on eBay, so I would only go on recommendation from someone else. The original was so expensive, I really couldn't justify spending that much!
I think you mean this is the first thread you have opened I've seen you about. That name of yours kind of sticks in the memory. (Dont explain. we dont want to know)
I got a new battery off a UK seller on Ebay 7-8 weeks ago for £5 plus P&P. He said it was genuine and it looked like the genuine article. It shorted out after 4 weeks but he sent me another. so far so good. What do you get for under a tenner?

1800mh Battery

Anyone tried one of these?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1800mAh-Batte...neBatteries?hash=item3caa613853#ht_1915wt_832
Sounds good as they are the same size as stock battery, but not sure if they live up to expectations?
Did you buy the battery????
If yes, can you tell us something about?
I' bought ones (different productor) from another buyer: after 2 days it was broken...
No, was waiting for some positive reviews of the battery...
you can`t trust these batteries and those ebay-sellers
I bought one B. with the same specs over here in Germany from an ebay-seller,
but found out that my 1340 mA/h has done the same job.
I would not trust them untill it is sold from a company that is reliable.

[Q] new battery questions

hello guys. i have my nexus for 2 years now and i think it's time to replace the battery as i have no plans to upgrade in the next months.
so a few questions arises:
1. i read somewhere that if the battery is not used once in a while, it's life decreases. in that in mind does anybody knows what is the latest replacment battery production date for our phone?
2. do you know any eshop that sells original battery for our phone not from 2012? ebay sellers are not the most trustworthy bunch from my past experience so if you bought from a seller and is an original battery that wouls be great information.
3. if you have any 3d party batteries that you tested and are good feel free to suggest it.
thank you in advance

Should I buy a note 3 in 2016?

Hey everyone,
Looking for a phone for around 150 UK pounds with a big display, good camera and long screen on time
Heard the note 3 would suit me
Is it still getting updated? Big dev support still?
How's the Camera?
What to look for in 2nd hand phones
Are the repairs on the display cheap?
Is it worth buying a cracked display cheaper and getting it fixed?
Is the upgrade to note 4 worth it?????
Sorry loads of questions
Coming from an meizu mx5 very poor support sot of around 4 hours and camera Isnt great poor support again from meizu

I just bought one for my wife. I have one too and they are great.
It cost me about £220 second hand. The note 4 is considerably more and not £100+ better. So sick with the note 3. Camera is 13 mega pixel and more than just adequate.
I don't really care what the Samsung support is, I put custom roms on both phones so they think they are note 5's. The support on xda is all you need. Get a decent case and screen protector and it'll last.
If you can get it for a price you want them go for it. Still a great phone.

Thank you for the honest reply
Whats roms are good for battery life
Well. I'm using the phronensis rom, which, despite its silly name is pretty dammed good. But have a look around, the thread titles will usually say if they are geared for performance or battery life (or both).
If you're new to rooting and installing custom roms then I'd recommend the all in one tool kit by skipsoft. Just search 'xda skipsoft' in Google. It pretty much does it all for you (or at least it holds your hand through the process). Just make sure that what you tell it is correct and toy should be good to go.
And be careful. I always read the last few comments in a thread to see what bugs have been reported and if the rom is still being updated. Wouldn't hurt to look up a tutorial on YouTube either.
Send me a private message if you'd like a phone chat about it
Would suggest flashing Lean or Idle kernel for good battery life.
Thanks guys
Going to buy a note three tonight for 140 pounds
Is there two different cpus which one would benefit me better.
Also it's locked down To ee is there a sim unlock tool/app

Buy it unlocked, otherwise unlock codes from EE will cost you. And there are no such tools.
And very likely you're looking at SM-N9005, the Snapdragon version. There's a tiny chance you might have happened upon N900, the Exynos version that has no 4G support. The performance of the two variants is identical.
Thank you , the price for an unlocked note is alot more expensive than the ee branded ohone

i am now a proud owner of a note 3 unlock, running stock lolipop atm 5.0 going to root and start trying a rom,
paid £160 got an extra 3 batteries plus official samsung box, and samsung usb 3.0 extra battery charger...
and Armoured Case,
Slight marks on left hand side of casing, does not affect screen
i have another case, glass screen coming tomorrow also!
Thanks guys, very happy
cant believe how big it is im coming from a 5.5 inch phone also
Picked one up for $35 as a back up and to flash roms, best amount of money I've ever spent on a Android device!
For a phone this old it still kicks ass.

Phronesis (Ancient Greek: φρόνησις) is a word used in the ancient greek and means "wisdom" or "intelligence", common theme in philosophical debates. As you can see, this word can be anything but silly my friend
Thanks for the translation of the name but got to agree does sound odd, not yet flashed but does look absolutely beautiful.
35 dollars wow bargain that's just over 20 pounds in the UK.
Are the phones capable of fast charging only seems to be charging at 1200mah on all my chargers even the fast charge 2.0 charger I have

I charge it with my Nexus 6 charger and it charges pretty quick

Which battery???

I see many batteries at Amazon for our N10:
https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_pg_...keywords=nexus+10+battery+replacement&ie=UTF8
Are there any suggestions regarding if any one is better than the other?
The price range is off the chart from $20 to $60...
...any help deciding what to get?
Thanks!

I picked up this one just to see if it worked.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073TWJY9P/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It was the same Samsung part as the original. Had it for a few months now, works well.
Did you get one yet? I got this one off ebay last year, no complaints. I think there are only two options this style with the yellow trim and another that claims to be genuine samsung (but is probably fake) with orange/brown trim.
Installed NewPower99 about two years ago: Still going strong
The original battery started dropping fast below 40% charge one day, so I decided to get a replacement before those would be hard to come by.
I am quite astonished that they are still around in large numbers.

No issue having it shipped to Germany, either, because amazon.de won't carry anything alike.
Which Battery?
I replaced my phone battery and now it's not working well. It has also effected the phone speed. So, try to get only original battery.
I bought this one on amazon for more than 1 and half years. Still works fine. KingSener 9000mAh 3.75V SP3496A8H Battery For Samsung Google Nexus 10
I cannot post the link since I am a rookie here.
