Which battery??? - Nexus 10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I see many batteries at Amazon for our N10:
https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_pg_...keywords=nexus+10+battery+replacement&ie=UTF8
Are there any suggestions regarding if any one is better than the other?
The price range is off the chart from $20 to $60...
...any help deciding what to get?
Thanks!

I picked up this one just to see if it worked.

It was the same Samsung part as the original. Had it for a few months now, works well.

Did you get one yet? I got this one off ebay last year, no complaints. I think there are only two options this style with the yellow trim and another that claims to be genuine samsung (but is probably fake) with orange/brown trim.

Installed NewPower99 about two years ago: Still going strong
The original battery started dropping fast below 40% charge one day, so I decided to get a replacement before those would be hard to come by.
I am quite astonished that they are still around in large numbers.

No issue having it shipped to Germany, either, because amazon.de won't carry anything alike.

Which Battery?
I replaced my phone battery and now it's not working well. It has also effected the phone speed. So, try to get only original battery.

I bought this one on amazon for more than 1 and half years. Still works fine. KingSener 9000mAh 3.75V SP3496A8H Battery For Samsung Google Nexus 10

Selling a Hermes - Advise only (not a pitch)

Hi guys,
Just wondering if I can get some advise.
I just bought a Tytn II and am now going to sell my T-Mobile Vario II. I was wondering what sort of price I should be looking for one now-a-days.
It's got the original box, but no warranty. I can put my hands-free kit in from my Tytn II as I really don't need it.
I've got the original charger and a USB sync/charge cable are easy to add.
I can also throw in my Tytn II's case. I don't need that either.
It's in near pristine condition. I got it in about April after sending my first one back to T-Mobile for repair. They replaced it instead. However, on the corner is a small, but very obvious scuff which I plan on showing when selling it.
Just wondering if anyone can advise me on what sort of price you would expect to pay for this phone if you was buying it so I can get a rough idea of what to expect.
I'll be putting the Official T-Mobile Windows Mobile 6 on the device and it is unlocked.
i reckon £130, but saying that the official wm6 and unlocked aswell wouldcrank it up if u put it on ebay. dont seel for less than 130 though.
Thanks for your reply.
That kind of price is actually quite a bit above what I was thinking. I was looking at more about £70. Especially considering the scuff on the corner is quite visible with the device being grey and red.
It's not damage which will effect the device in any way shape or form, but it is clearly visible. That's it's only downside.
I'd look at the prices on ebay... On Aussie ebay most Hermes sell for around $200Aud. This is my observation for about 2 months... Watch how they sell on ebay for a week then decide how to go about this.
Most people tend to bid in the last few hours and I've seen a Jasjam go from $55 to almost $300Aud in the course of 20 mins.
I don't know how it is on UK ebay but my advice is watch and learn.
Cheers...

Good advice.
I'd say as well (having sold a couple of phones on ebay) decent descriptions and pictures add more than you would expect to the price, so spend a bit of time writing some decent text and describing the functions in detail.
May as well watch http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200242138578 - it's a similarly replaced Vario II so should give you an idea of what it will go for, once it completes.
Good luck!
Geoff
i only paid a £100 for mine 12 months ago and that was virtually new, a midwife had got it on contract and then found it far too complicated to use. £130+ to me is way off the mark. I have tried to buy a few on ebay and they generally sell from £70-£100 depending on the condition , accessories included etc.
PM me with a price as a friend wants one , if you dont want to use ebay. Or if you do pm me the link
EDIT:http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200242138578 Someone is taking the piss on the bidding with that one its at a £155 with two days to go, i think someone is pulling his leg.
average price for one if these is about a £100

Thanks for the suggestions,
The item linked by Marsbar is going for a really high price.
To be honest, I think I'll put it on there for £70 with full pictures of it up and working then let it run for 7 days.
I just sold a Samsung Tocco on there (free upgrade from Orange) for £200 on a buy it now. That was done within hours. I think the Tytn could fetch quite a bit more than I anticipated.

1800mh Battery

Anyone tried one of these?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1800mAh-Batte...neBatteries?hash=item3caa613853#ht_1915wt_832
Sounds good as they are the same size as stock battery, but not sure if they live up to expectations?
Did you buy the battery????
If yes, can you tell us something about?
I' bought ones (different productor) from another buyer: after 2 days it was broken...
No, was waiting for some positive reviews of the battery...
you can`t trust these batteries and those ebay-sellers
I bought one B. with the same specs over here in Germany from an ebay-seller,
but found out that my 1340 mA/h has done the same job.
I would not trust them untill it is sold from a company that is reliable.

I haven't used that particular battery as it was unavailable when I first got my Evo.I did puchase 2x1500mah baterries with a charger on Ebay direct from Hong Kong for 9.98 and they work just as well as the original. If anything,I think the spares run a tad bit cooler in general.

I get more life out of the original, but the aftermarket ones give quite a bit of life for $5 each.

I just got the batteries from same place in HK and they are really good, i did the same trick of recharging the cells and work perfect for me.
That red battery looks sweet. Might have to pick up a couple of those. The HTC Touch pro2 work just fine for me. I bought 4 batteries and 2 chargers for $20. 3 work fine. Also took about 1 month to get here but well worth it. No more worrying about the battery not lasting the whole day! (I'm a very aggressive user)

Spare Battery - UK

Has anyone come across a UK or European supply for spare batteries?
I do a bit of geocaching so a spare battery always comes in handy.
I have not found any suppliers in the UK selling the battery yet. Even though Defy has a good battery life I still like to carry a spare battery with me as well.
I'm also after a spare battery, always useful to have.
I've raised a support request with Motorola UK asking them where / when they will be available. They should be available in their own online store at least.
I have a sneaking suspicion that the popularity of the DEFY might be taking them by surprise.
I did a little bit of research lastnight and the only official accessories is available for Motorola Defy is the battery door/cover going for $9.99.

It appears the battery door is sold by amazon (at checkout time) but when I visited amazon.com (US) I could not find it. Nonetheless, this is rather a good news that it is possible to replace the battery door in case it wears off or damaged.
doesn't any other motorola phone use the same battery?
the milestone 2 uses a 1540mah battery, can anyone confirm whether they are the same.

The Bravo uses the same battery but that is a US only device.
Defy Batteries availalble in UK
Aftermarket batteries have shown up now. Anyone got any experience with any of these companies?

I am thinking best to wait for a Moto official battery.
I would prefer an official Motorola one, but if nothing is forthcoming in the next couple of weeks I'll buy a 3rd party battery.
Northing back from my Motorola support request as of yet.
I have just ordered this one.
Lets see how it works.
Defy battery now available on the motorola site $40 just seen it.
Well, i just recieved to emails: One with the notification "payment recieved" and the other a little bit later from paypal, saying that my payment has been paid back - my order is canceled.
I dont think those shops got any Defy Batteries stock.
Well, got a couple of garbled emails back from Motorola - god I hope I don't need any real support with this phone
One email in broken English suggested to contact expansys, who don't yet list the BF5X (in fact, they misleadingly list the MILESTONE battery as an accessory for the DEFY, when in fact it is physically the wrong shape).
The next email that arrived a day later told me they would be in touch when they knew where and when they would be selling any batteries!
It's quite funny but I also pointed out that their sites for online registration don't list the DEFY in the models dropdown. So they directed me to another Moto UK site that doesn't list the DEFY!
I've found this place in the US that have them in stock, take PayPal and ship internationally:
http://www.thinkmotorolabravo.com/motorola-bravo-battery-oem-13558.html
So have ordered one as I can't be arsed waiting for Motorola UK to work out where they are and what they're doing.
Any news on actually avaible third party spare batterys?
13 USD for 2 batteries =) + Charger and Micro USB Cable

Not so much looking for a spare battery as much as an higher capacity battery. Any word on something like that?
Just been browsing ebay UK & found the following - 3.7v 1800mah. Can't post a link due to being a newbie but it's on ebay.co .uk & the item number is 200569859076.
Is very cheap in price so I'm wondering what it would be like in reality - too cheap to be any good?

Should I buy a note 3 in 2016?

Hey everyone,
Looking for a phone for around 150 UK pounds with a big display, good camera and long screen on time

Is the upgrade to note 4 worth it?????
Sorry loads of questions

I just bought one for my wife. I have one too and they are great.
It cost me about £220 second hand. The note 4 is considerably more and not £100+ better. So sick with the note 3. Camera is 13 mega pixel and more than just adequate.
I don't really care what the Samsung support is, I put custom roms on both phones so they think they are note 5's. The support on xda is all you need. Get a decent case and screen protector and it'll last.
If you can get it for a price you want them go for it. Still a great phone.

Whats roms are good for battery life
Well. I'm using the phronensis rom, which, despite its silly name is pretty dammed good. But have a look around, the thread titles will usually say if they are geared for performance or battery life (or both).
If you're new to rooting and installing custom roms then I'd recommend the all in one tool kit by skipsoft. Just search 'xda skipsoft' in Google. It pretty much does it all for you (or at least it holds your hand through the process). Just make sure that what you tell it is correct and toy should be good to go.
And be careful. I always read the last few comments in a thread to see what bugs have been reported and if the rom is still being updated. Wouldn't hurt to look up a tutorial on YouTube either.
Send me a private message if you'd like a phone chat about it
Would suggest flashing Lean or Idle kernel for good battery life.
Thanks guys
Going to buy a note three tonight for 140 pounds
Is there two different cpus which one would benefit me better.
Also it's locked down To ee is there a sim unlock tool/app
Or is it something I have to buy on the bay

Buy it unlocked, otherwise unlock codes from EE will cost you. And there are no such tools.
And very likely you're looking at SM-N9005, the Snapdragon version. There's a tiny chance you might have happened upon N900, the Exynos version that has no 4G support. The performance of the two variants is identical.
Thank you , the price for an unlocked note is alot more expensive than the ee branded ohone

Picked one up for $35 as a back up and to flash roms, best amount of money I've ever spent on a Android device!
For a phone this old it still kicks ass.

Phronesis (Ancient Greek: φρόνησις) is a word used in the ancient greek and means "wisdom" or "intelligence", common theme in philosophical debates. As you can see, this word can be anything but silly my friend
Thanks for the translation of the name but got to agree does sound odd, not yet flashed but does look absolutely beautiful.
35 dollars wow bargain that's just over 20 pounds in the UK.
Are the phones capable of fast charging only seems to be charging at 1200mah on all my chargers even the fast charge 2.0 charger I have
