I am postin this in here in hopes that someone can clear it up as to why peap WiFi will not work on mja Roms?
I have mja modems etc minus bootloader but running 4.2 because of the WiFi issue. Any ROM that is mja does not work. It connects but then goes to saved.

I have the same issue using the same setup (mja rom and modem, the wifi fix and kt kernel while still on mf9 bootloader). Does it work on mja at all? Those that took the ota? Is it the modem?
I may have to go back to my backup of mf9, which I'm assuming is possible since I'm still on mf9 bootloader... Is this correct? Should I try to Odin the mf9 modem while still on mja?

4.2 Roms work..... No need to downgrade the modem

hey guys... im on 4.3 MK2 rooted, can i install a 4.2.2 rom stock or custom ?? with 4.2.2 modem and bootloader.
thanks.
If you updated by keeping the MF9 bootloader you can go back to stock. If you took the OTA however, you can only downgrade to 4.2 with a custom ROM.

but i can downgrade to 4.2 (100% 4.2) using a custom rom?? or i will be on 4.2 but with the same new bootloader?
what custom rom would work in my case? if you can give me a link to one.. there are so many here.
If you're on the MJA or MK2 bootloader, you're stuck with it.
And why would you want to go back to 4.2? Any ROM would work, but seems kind of pointless.

i downgraded the modem to mdc and did the unlock process. it worked, i can make and receive calls but when the phone is going to 3g i get a error message "LTE esm 29 emm-x cannot establish wireless data connection" nobody else had that issue.. i dont know if hte fact that my phone is not activated on spring is relevant.. it shouldn't be, because im using the phone outside the US.
i dont know what to do to make this thing work.. i have flashed from mdc to mk2 or mja like 5 times and i always get the same message.
i updated to 4.4.2 via ota i don't have wifi now also it didn't update my baseband it's still mk2 is that why
i don't have wifi
I had the same problem is it popping up a security message?

Were your phones completely stock before taking that OTA?
You could always flash the nae modems in recovery.
Verizon S4
Liquid Smooth 4.4
Sprint S4
Negalite 4.4
I had to flash MK2 again then update again but it's only because I was half on MK2 n half on nae but my bootloader remained MK2 so then I was able to flash via odin

Are you rooted?
If so, what rom are you running?
This is the exact issue the UnKnownforce is trying to fix in his thread.
Go HERE and search the thread for lockscreen. You'll find many posts concerning this issue. There is no 100% fix yet. Works fine for some and not for others.

That's what I'm guessing he did. Someone said that if you flash with cwm not Philz or Twrp that it works.

Well that makes absolutely no sense. You took the OTA then rooted and flashed the NAE modem??? If you took the OTA why would you have to flash the NAE modem. Something is fishy here. Are you on the NAE upgrade or are you a piece meal install with mismatched bootloader, modem, and software. If you are on stock NAE then the lock screen should work as mine works with all options. If you are on a custom rom, that is where the problem is. Post a screenshot of your about phone info page or list the specifics of what you have so we can further help you.
Yea i took the Ota everything was nae but my baseband then I flashed the nea modem is

You might be screwed until the stock tar comes out. If your baseband hadn't changed with the ota, then the update didn't complete. You may still be on the mk2 bootloader. There is suppose to be an app that can tell you what bootloader your on, but I don't know what it is called. You can try to Odin the mk2 tar file. If it completes your golden and then can redo the update. If it fails then you have the NAE bootloader. you can try installing a custom kernel to get wifi back, or see if you can find a copy of the stock NAE kernel.

OK I was running negalite rom mk2. I updated the modem to nae with odin but the phone did not boot for like 6 or 7 minutes so I pulled the battery and restarted the phone. It booted up fine and I then booted into recovery and installed the nae version of negalite. I had not noticed my baseband still says mk2. Now I can't update the modem and I am having trouble connecting to my wifi where ever I go. Can someone please point me in the right direction.
Odin the nae modem.. should work

Tried that phone just reboots and in about phone still says software and baseband are still mk2.
This may be a dumb question but how do I know what my stock Rom was originally...as far as if it were NAE or not.... when I got my phone and had it flashed to Boosmobile... it was 4.4.2 on stock. ..
