[Q] Change the boot logo/inital image?

Hi there, how do I change the very first image that the S7 Slim displays when it is turned on?

[Q] Bootanimation Help

Ok so I wanted to install one of these bootanimations from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2334927
I installed one that is 1080x1920 but it doesn't flash. In Philz recovery it says aborted. So then I went as far as trying to create my own from awesome gifs I found around the web using Boot Animation Factory.
I tried 480x800, 720x1280, 800x1280, and 1080x1920. I am still getting the same result. Nothing. Yes I am naming them bootanimation. If anyone could let me know what I'm missing I would appreciate it. If someone helps me I have some cool boot animations for the Galaxy S4 that I will share. I'm on Sac's ROM if that makes a difference.
Edit: I notice Touchwiz boot animations are different since there is no bootanimation.zip I tried to install the S5 boot animation for the Galaxy S4 and only the audio worked. I'm on Sac's ROM
Edit: Ok so I figured it out. You need to flash this zip called Bootanimation4U.Samsungani.Only.zip and then you are able to place the bootanimation in the system/media folder and you'll have a custom boot animation

Boot Animation error

I try to install custom boot animation and now my boot screen is just a black screen. Mine is sm n900 5.0 Russia firmware. Is there anywhere I can get my original boot animation back or how can I install a custom boot animation. Please help me out.

So it's a zip or qmg file?. If zip then your original boot animation still there. Try to delete the zip in system/media. It it's qmg you need to extract it from firmware or other rom and replace it.
I think for lollipop if you were to use bootanimation.zip you need to use a modified bootanimation in system/bin else it won't work. This bootanimation in system/bin controls bootanimation.zip in system/media

Your phone is n900s or n900?. You don't need a safetrap or twrp to install a custom bootanimation. Nevertheless since your phone doesn't has custom recovery I would suggest not to play with system file as it could bootloop your phone. The idea is to have a nandroid backup before messing the system files so that you could undo the changes in case it go wrong.
I already backup. I want to install the Marvel VS DC boot animation. I want the qmg version, but i can't find it anywhere. And is SM-N900
What was you trying to install earlier?. A bootanimation.zip ot bootanimation.qmg?. You can try your luck with bootanimation.zip but as i said earlier you MIGHT need to replace bootanimation in system/bin to make bootanimation.zip to work due to memory leak issue. I have it for n9005, extracted from audax rom. Not sure if it will work on 900

Boot animation keeps getting rewritten to stock after replacing it?

So I recently rooted my Moto g5 Plus and made a custom boot animation for it. But when I replace my stock boot animation with my new one in system/media, when I go to view the .mp4 file it is the same as my stock animation, and whenever I boot the device, a series of black and white flashing lights just appear on the screen until the boot is finished. (I know how to fix this, I need help stopping the boot animation being replaced by stock.)
Anyone know how to stop the boot animation from being replaced by stock even though it is not stock? Thanks!
Same issue here. Stock Nougat + TWRP + Rooted. Able to hide N/A (unlocked bootloader) with the logo.bin. Can not replace boot animation. Tried Boot Animations for superuser from Google Play market, flashing with TWRP, replacement with Root Explorer. Default Moto animation still runs...
Is it possible to replace it at all? What method (including steps) 100% works?
It may be dm-verity doing this. You could install magisk and see if that prevents it from getting overwritten all the time.

Thank you. I've installed ElementalX Kernel and now boot animation is no longer overwritten.
