Hey there,
since I can't post in the development forum, I hope I'm right in this forum.
I tryed to install the latest PA on my G2, by using TWRP.
I've followed the instructions in the PA thread:
- Wipe data / factory reset
- Flash rom / gapps
- reboot
When rebooting, I only get a black screen, showing some fastboot and port message.
So, PA doesn't start.
What did I do wrong?
Greetings
PA
Sounds like you flashed the incorrect ROM for your phone. You are probably going to have to restore it to stock.
I had an backup which I could restore successfully. I used the pa_g2-4.0-ALPHA-20131126-d803 which seems to be the correct version
Your phone was the d803 version of g2, right?
Thanks for the hint. Fixed

I've encountered a strange problem with my nexus 7. As soon as I install a custom rom (I've tried the latest nightly of Carbon and Slimbean) with a full wipe my device does not boot up. It stucks on the carbon, respective slimbean, bootscreen. Another strange thing is that the latest CM nightly seems to work without any problems.
I even tried to flash a factory image and then reflashed the recovery (TWRP 2.6.3) to try the mentioned custom roms again. Still no luck - CM did work again.
So, do you guys have a solution to this problem? I've used both roms in the past as my daily driver, so I am out of ideas for now...
No suggestion, but I just flashed SlimBean on mine from a full wipe, and I'm having the same issue.
I tried SlimBean again, and it worked. Here's what I did:
1. Updated my bootloader. Mine was still 4.13, and it looks like the most recent version is 4.23. I flashed the img from this post using NRT.
2. Went back to unrooted stock with NRT. (I had to update my bootloader to do this.)
3. Let it boot back into unrooted stock, wept with joy, made a nandroid from NRT.
4. Flashed the SlimBean 1.9 weekly and minimal gapps from NRT's advanced area.
5. Watched in amazement as it boots obediently. Let sit about 10 min, and rebooted.
I'm essentially lazy, so yes I used NRT instead of manually pushing everything with ADB. ADB was plan B. It was briefly plan A, but I got tired of trying to convince the Android SDK that I did in fact have the Java JDK installed.
Mhhhh....

Well I have the same problem with booting Ubuntu touch.... Either it's stuck on white Google Logo or stuck on Cyanogenmod Logo... Have flashed it with TWRP and MultiROM...
I have the LG G2 Verizon
Was on the 12B OTA when I rooted using ioroot 19 and flashed twrp 2.6.3.3 using freegee from playstore.
I went into twrp Flashed ROM Malladus 1.2.5 The LG apps and JB apps
After the 3 zip files were successfully installed. I rebooted system. The LG logo came on for a second and the screen turn black. I left the phone for 30 minutes hoping it was part of the ROM loading.
I can go back to twrp holding down power button + volume down and do a factory reset. Tried re installing ROM and apps. Same thing happens again.
I haven't tried to format data because then I won't have a ROM to install and reading other posts it just doesn't help.
I've read threads how to get back to stock rom but I don't know if that's my solution to my problem.
Can someone please help and give a step by step.
Thank you,

This is the reason you are unable to flash Malladus 1.2.5 and have it boot properly.

Oh I wow I had flashed the ROM the same time that guy posted. Well thank you for that link.:good: I'm just happy it wasn't something really bad like the point of no return to use my phone.
Do you think I can perform 2. Copy the boot.img installing section from updater-script (under META-INF) from 1.2.2 into 1.2.5 and then install
By sideload on twrp?
hi!
yesterday i followed these instructions to flash philz touch 5 (cwm base version: v6.0.3.7) onto a fresh galaxy s4 using odin and then rooted it by installing the two zip files in recovery mode. this worked really well. after using my phone for a while, i really missed the pure android experience and wanted to flash a custom rom from aokp. so i made these steps
download custom rom for i9506 (unified version)
make a nandroid backup of the original rom
wipe data/factory reset -> clean to install a new rom
install zip from sdcard -> select the previously downloaded custom rom
unfortunately i immediately got an error that my phone is not supported by this rom, since it is the ks01lte and not a jflte or jflte***. first i thought that's unpleasant but not a real problem since i have a nandroid backup. so i made a normal factory reset and restored the backup i made before. after it was successfully finished, i rebootet the phone. but since then i don't get passed the white samsung lettering after the blueish circle animation.
thanks for any help or tiny hint.
hi!
fixed it by my self. in case some one runs into the same problem:
i flashed the correct original firmware from here with odin. after that it took a while for the first boot and i had constant force closes. after a full wipe in the original recovery everything was fine again. then i rootet it again. now i've to find another custom rom which actually supports my model and delivers the pure android experience without that touchwiz cr...
thanks, kopi
Hi,
I very much hope you can help me with this issue.
I wanted to flashTemasek's CM 12.1 v. 14.9 on a N9005 running stock Lollipop (N905XXUGBOE9_N9005DBTGBOF1). After much reading, I believed it would be best to first downgrade to stock 4.4.2 (N9005XXUENB4_N9005DBTENB1_DBT). I then flashed TWRP 2.8.7.0 hlte 4.4. Could this be the reason? I later read that for Kitkat 4.4.2 without updates I should have rather used the 4.3 version of TWRP. I did a backup of the system including efs. After that I flashed Temasek's CM 12.1 v.14.9 doing a clean install by following the steps outlined in the thread:
Clean Installation
1. Download the appropriate ROM using links provide in the second post.
2. Download the appropriate GApps following the links in the second post.
3. Back up any and all important data.
5. WIPE DALVIK/CACHE/DATA/FACTORY RESET.
6. WIPE SYSTEM.
7. Flash the ROM in recovery.
7.1. DO NOT FIX PERMISSIONS AFTER FLASHING, doing so will cause a bootloop.
8. Flash the GApps.
9. WIPE DALVIK/CACHE (for good measure).
10. Reboot Device.
Flashing went fine, but the phone did not recognize the SIM card. Initially believing that this might be an issue with the ROM, I downgraded to Temasek's CM 12.1 v. 14 only to find that I was having similar issues. I then tried to restore the backup I created earlier but basically only got a black screen and a ton of notifications that apps had stopped working. I then tried to flash back stock kitkat (N9005XXUENB7_N9005DBTENB2) hoping that this would work with my version of TWRP but have had no success. Before causing any further trouble, I was hoping that some kind soul would be capable of and willing to help me with this. How can I recover my efs from the backup created with TWRP? And how can I finally restore my phone and hopefully end up with the ROM I was trying to flash? Any help is very much appreciated!
Thank you!

Who said you need 4.4 to update to cm12.1? You need 5.0 bootloader. That's what you had.
Maybe use another version of twrp. I use 2.8.5? And it's fine.
In twrp go to back up and restore. Restore by navigating to location of your back up.

Thanks! I managed to restore the imei flashing stock lollipop. I initially downgraded because it seemed to me that all instructions were based on kitkat and not much information was available on lollipop. Just wanted to make sure I followed the instructions to the letter. Stupid me...
I tried to restore efs the way you describe it, but it didn't work out for me. Thankfully, things are back to normal now and I will flash cm12.1 directly from stock lollipop now.
Thanks for taking the time to help!
I have been using CM12.1 on an LG G2 D802 and decided to upgrade the device to CM 13 today. As the device was running the stock 4.4 ROM before I initially switched to CM 12.1, I figured it would already have the Kitkat bootloader installed and proceeded to download the latest CM 13 nightly from the CM page as well the stock OpenGapps package. I then booted into TWRP (v2.6.3.3), wiped system, dalvik, data and cache and then flashed the ROM and the Gapps package which worked just fine.
However, when I selected "reboot system", the screen went black. I turned the phone off by pressing the power button. turned it on again and found that the LG logo flashes up for less than 1 second, then the screen goes black again. Gladly, I am still able to boot into TWRP. I then searched the forums, decided to try the latest Lollipop bootstack from this thread and reflashed the ROM and the Gapps package, but the problem still persits.
I am now thinking if my seriously outdated TWRP version is causing the problem, but I hesitate to update that (as it is basically the only working thing on the phone right now) without making sure that it really could be the problem.
Do you have any tips for me what could be the problem and how I can fix the phone?
Thank you very much!
Any help is appreciated

to boot into system you need hybrid bootstacks, and definitiverly need thermal twrp 2.8.7.3
you could either do both. download twrp and bootstaclks the hybrid ones.
first update twrp if you want. but i recomend as it has thermal to control heat during installations
once you in twrp. wipe all. then reboot into recovery from recovery.
flash hybrid bootstacks then again reboot into recovery from recovery, and when you in twrp flash rom it should boot.
just remeber to reboot into recovery each time you flash twrp ot hybrids to take effect.
