Hey,i am using aurora 2.04 rom is there any way to make close like old TV and open like it?
as in gingerbread
I tried doing that by editing framewrok-res. Looks like that functionality was removed in ICS... a bit of research will tell you that also.

Hi all,
In the AURORA mods/addons thread in the General forum there's a link to a flashable zip with the change.
Here's the part that will interest you all:
framework.apk
/system/framework/framework.apk is an .apk that configures the UI of your phone (transitions, look, icons e.t.c). Here are some mods:
- lockscreen animation (only when screen turns off) - flashable.zip - thanks to fjsferreira

Gingerbread bootloader
Hi, I was wondering how I can tell if I have the Gingerbread bootloaders or not. I started with stock, then installed cwm by installing the corn kernel, followed by installing the paranoid android jellybean rom. If I don't currently have the gingerbread bootloader, can someone help me with instructions on how to get it back? Thanks in advance for your help!

If the stock rom was gingerbread, then you are fine. If it was froyo or older you should install them. Best way would be flashing stock gingerbread rom

It was beginning to bother me too. But now all is well.
And I'm downloading now. I just read the changelog and see you were able to add the blackberry lock screen but its only working with stock DPI? What problems occur with custom dpis?

Just tried to install a couple of times, following the instructions and sometimes also clearing delvik and fixing permissions.
Each time upon initial setup process, I keep getting errors ("unfortunately, gallery has stopped" or "google.media has stopped").
Even if I manage to finish the setup, the errors keep popping up and the Play store just closes (as is the Gallery).
Any ideas?

As long as it doesn't freak out and break things on the custom DPI's I'm not worried about it. :good:

Thanks, I managed to get it working now.
So far, everything appears to be just fine.
1 question: I guess if I want gallery to show my pics from my google+ or Picassa web, I have to flash another Gapps?
If it's the right way, which version (and if possible, where can I find it?)
First of all, this ROM is awesome. Secondly, can anyone explain to me what fudge swap is, or at least point me in the right direction? That might be the only kernel setting that I don't know how to use

Thanks for the update, it's running smooth and fast here.
Pdroid
DerTeufel,
I understand why you removed PDroid. I was having some intermittent issues too. But I like the idea behind PDroid so I hope that it can be added back in the future if the problems can be resolved.
Thanks...
Great Release, the blackberry lockscreen is cool, dont know if i will keep it because i like the slider shortcuts on the jellybean lockscreen.
One thing, the camera is missing alot of it settings, there are only 2 there i saw "Store location" and picture quality.
Also when selecting Panorama shot it says Gallery has force closed.

Good afternoon! I tried to run the tablet mode on Huawei U8800 ideos x5! I got it! Here are some screenshots:fingers-crossed::
Works: All!
Doesn't work: Phone (in the following version I will correct it) but while it is possible to put alternative phone exDialer!
In other modes of fully working!
Instructions for installing the tablet mode:fingers-crossed:
-Set Aurora 2.11 with update2http://code.google.com/p/ics-aurora/downloads/detail?name=aurora_2.11a_update2.zip&can=2&q= (not higher because other version DZO carved tablet modes, or services.jar to later versions will not fit). Set with all wipe!
-After flashing put Apex Launcher (because the standard crumbles)!
-Set yourself mod!
-Now go to / system /, look for the file build.prop. Long press on it - open (open with), choose a text editor (text redactor). Leaf through to the bottom line of the file and see ro.sf.lcd_density = 240. Change 240 to 128. Save the result:good:
All, you now have a mini tablet!
Say thank you!
Thanks: Dzo for Aurora, NotOnThisPlanet for screenshots and the idea!
Is it possible that this can work on aurora 5?
Sent from my A500 running CM10.1
So its is only a modifies services.jar?

Yes, we have to change the phone services.jar, it is a lot of work! But on asus nexus 7 that would enable tablet mode is enough to change the resolution!

Sounds good, but tell me: what's the use of having a tablet mode? I've seen a youtube-video but is there a real advantage or is it a matter of just having it?
@Jailhouse: It's very good if you like to read really really tiny fonts.

Or to use eclipse and sdk. All are very time consuming according to me. So i have made all these things easy!

•Now we need to install our CM10 framework i used franework of My ROM or you can use FrozenPika or Shendu preferrable any 4.1.2 framework should work.
For this we have to write this code in cmd

Example-- apktool if E:/Rittik/CM10-HuaweiU8800pro/framework/framework-res.apk
After its done.
• Now extract My Rar(Template) name it to something Suitable
•Now inside edit all PNG you want to change any xml files you want to change for changing name or putting new icons excectra do it now.
•After you feel your Theme is ready to test.
•Now in CMD(If you closed last session then input framework as shown above again to be sure)
Put these code for compiling your theme.
Code:
apktool b (folder name)
Example-- apktool b CM10
Now if you have done everything correct it should show "Done!"

I want to integrate an option to display the time of the last update into my widget. To do so i wanna display a toast message like 'Last update: 13.12.13 20:00'. But i dont want my main activity to show up to display the toast, but displaying it directly on the homescreen. How to do this?
I tried if i could display the toast from my widget provider directly, but i cant. Another idea was to set the onClick intent for the button that should cause the toast to show to start a separate activity, as it seems that only activity can display toasts. Maybe this is just a stupidly easy thing to do, but i personally have no more ideas how it could work... thanks in advance for the help!

What was your code you tried?

Ah sorry, i forgot to mention that i wanted to get the last update date from shared prefs, then it told me that to access shared prefs u have to extend activity and not broadcast receiver...
Is there maybe a better way to save the update time than shared prefs, so that i can access it via the receiver?

Use a text file? Link to tutorial
Why don't use SharedPreferences in Broadcastreceiver? It's the same process like saving data in a file by your own.
