Good afternoon! I tried to run the tablet mode on Huawei U8800 ideos x5! I got it! Here are some screenshots:fingers-crossed::
Works: All!
Doesn't work: Phone (in the following version I will correct it) but while it is possible to put alternative phone exDialer!
In other modes of fully working!
Instructions for installing the tablet mode:fingers-crossed:
-Set Aurora 2.11 with update2http://code.google.com/p/ics-aurora/downloads/detail?name=aurora_2.11a_update2.zip&can=2&q= (not higher because other version DZO carved tablet modes, or services.jar to later versions will not fit). Set with all wipe!
-After flashing put Apex Launcher (because the standard crumbles)!
-Set yourself mod!
-Now go to / system /, look for the file build.prop. Long press on it - open (open with), choose a text editor (text redactor). Leaf through to the bottom line of the file and see ro.sf.lcd_density = 240. Change 240 to 128. Save the result:good:
All, you now have a mini tablet!:angel:
Say thank you!:laugh:
Thanks: Dzo for Aurora, NotOnThisPlanet for screenshots and the idea!
Is it possible that this can work on aurora 5?

Yes, we have to change the phone services.jar, it is a lot of work! But on asus nexus 7 that would enable tablet mode is enough to change the resolution!

Sounds good, but tell me: what's the use of having a tablet mode? I've seen a youtube-video but is there a real advantage or is it a matter of just having it?
@Jailhouse: It's very good if you like to read really really tiny fonts.

I always wanted some clear and good looking buttons in the notification bar.
I took the buttons from a LG Optimus X2 framework and fitted them on our beloved Optimus One.

What? If they were taken from the 2x framework, they should have transparent bg anyway, plus, its not hard to open gimp and mod the background transparency.
Its great, just could be fixed.

Nice work mDroidd !
Haven't tested yet but i'm sure it will work
I suggest, you port themes from here
Is a massive repo and you have many too choose from.
Hope this keeps you busy !
Keep updating this thread and tell Zecanilis to delete your earlier thread.
Also, i hope you make themes for CM7 because bioan's theme repo thread has become pretty much primitive and needs new themes.

Hey,i am using aurora 2.04 rom is there any way to make close like old TV and open like it?

I tried doing that by editing framewrok-res. Looks like that functionality was removed in ICS... a bit of research will tell you that also.

Hi all,
In the AURORA mods/addons thread in the General forum there's a link to a flashable zip with the change.
Here's the part that will interest you all:

/system/framework/framework.apk is an .apk that configures the UI of your phone (transitions,look,icons e.t.c). Here are some mods:

Old version(s):

Version 2(07/22/2012)
Version 3(08/26/2012) A
Version 3(08/26/2012) B
My "source" :http://www.mediafire.com/?rp90lw7w5obm9wb
Faq:
Q:What's the difference between A and B?
A:A versions have soft buttons on status bar and B don't
Q:Why?
A:Because if you disable the soft buttons on settings the date won't show in status bar(seens to be a tablet feature or cm bug)
Q:How to disable/choose what buttons to show on status bar
A:Go to settings>cyanogenmod settings>tablet tweaks and tick/untick what you want
Q:Ics look alike buttons?What do you mean?Will I loose another mods?
A:They are not the real soft buttons as on 4.x, they are only themed cm7's one.You won't loose any framework mods(smooth sppiners, for example), but you can loose SystemUI mods(such as transparent status bar)
Credits:
-->NutellaBanane for creating this thread
-->CoolCatGetHome for helping him
-->Cm7 Team for sharing their wonderfull firmware
-->D.O.C and GadgetCheck for smooth sppiners
-->AChep for the flashable zip
-->Dinhodroid for the jelly bean animations guide
Tips:
-If you have a "dead" power button, you can flash algie17's MOD(change search and power function[ONLY HW BUTTONS]) and use the search button in status bar(even with algie17's mod, it will WORK AS SEARCH).You can put any app as "long-press search app"(I recommend screen filter)
-If you want your launcher to look like a tablet see cure25's thread

Gallery- Yeah. Problem is with editing but you can use snap camera.
Keyboard- Only is working in English.
Clock- Go to settings and delete cache in app. If this doesn't working so you can try this.
