I've noticed that there doesn't seem to be much if any native support for sound profiles on jelly bean. I'm moving from BlackBerry to the nexus 4 and I'm wondering what I can use to manage audio profiles - does cm10 or AOKP support profiles and the use of being able to separate message and call ringer volume? For example I'd like to have a nighttime profile with call ringer only with no text message alerts etc - I'm on call out for work so this type of thing is useful to me.
Thanks in advance!

Yes both CM and AOKP have sound profiles.

Nexus is very quiet when listening to music on it. Is there a hack for it to boost the audio out put beyond Google limitations?
Cheers keps

The stock one in S4 is pretty awesome with many eqs and adapt sound.
That's pretty much personal preference.

Right, the only missing thing for me is the lyrics : how can i activate them without having to install an alternative music player ?

Yeah, that's why i've installed it - but after a week i uninstalled it :
Transaction effect between songs isn't good for ears.
Don't have 'Smart functions'.. I couldn't fully enjoy my S4. But it have Lyrics and that's good

Also anyone noticed that in stock player after reaching sound volume 13 Adapt sound stops working

Is Adapt Sound system wide or is it just in supported apps?

Just in supported apps : Calls, Stock video and music player.

I don't know about samsung's fancy gestures or what not... But I know Poweramp is The best music player for audiophiles /music lovers . Full EQ seamless interface , so many customization options , native dsp option , superb widget customization options... I mean this app has it all . The crossfade settings can be adjusted in the settings if you don't like the default option and gestures can be added through an external app... I think the name is wave player or something... Google it :S
I use poweramp. I bought poweramp. I think is the best in android right now. I like the ideea of adapt sound but I like to know if the sound is aplied to all players after initial setup or only in samsung original player. I like to use adapt sound with poweramp.

Just curious is it any specific roms or kernels with better audio output? Im currently on a stock deodexed rom with franco kernel. The music thru the headphones is pretty low..do you guys have any rom/kernel or just kernel recommendations that gave you a bettet audio experience.

Its not a ROM or a kernel but ViPER4Android made a HUGE difference in my N4's sound quality and volume. Its just a sound driver and DSP manager but works amazingly well.

Hi everybody, i beg your pardon for my bad english, anyway, I had a motorola milestone 2 with megabassbests and now i installed the NexusLouderV4B1-TestBuild_2 on my nexus 4. I made a comparison and i found that the megabassbeats is 100 times better than nexus louder. Is there any way to install the mileston bests audio on my new nexus 4?

Try awesome beats. Or viper4android with beats IRS.
You will find both on xda in Android development

The Nexus 4 is a bit tricky to find that sweet spot in AMAZING sound. After hours of trial and error (No kidding), and previous knowledge of experience from other devices. I've found that for the Nexus 4 you need to flash the Nexus louder mod, and combined it with a custom kernel and use that kernel's sound settings via either trickster mod, franco kernel updater app, or faux123 kernel enhancement pro app. I'm sure there are others, but those are the main 3 I alternate in between.
I could go into specifics about my settings and my setup, but as everyone tends to say people's preference and tastes in music are all different.
I hope this helps some.
I'm using the paranoid android custom ROM Abd I do not want to change it. If that the only solution i resign myself

If you're looking to get great sound through the rear firing speaker then this phone isn't for you; viper4 android however works wonders on headphones.

No, i'm looking to get a grat sound through the headphones. I just thought that isn't strange that the mileston's beats audio works better than the N4 one
