Welcome to the unofficial CyanogenMod 11.0 nightlies
The build start time is at 03:01 UTC every sunday night and should be uploaded soon after. If at anytime the builds are not there, then there was a problem building the ROM, and we will have a look at it ASAP.
Attention: PARTITIONING REQUIRED.
KitKat takes up more space than 400mb. Resizing your system partition to 500mb is required. Also, this build is a datamedia build - this means that we utilise an emulated sdcard on the data partition and both share the same partition thus space. Yet, the sdcard partition is also mounted and can be used for file usage (deprecated). Resizing the sdcard partition (/dev/media) to a rather small size and allocating the remaining size to /data is recommended.
What is datamedia? Click here.
Advised partition layout
Easiest way to get the correct partition sizes is by using jcsullins tptoolbox
Alternatively one could use "Tailor" in webOS (install with preware et al) and use the following layout:
system - 600mb
cache - 200mb
media - 400mb
data - [remaining space] (i.e. ~11.5gb for 16gb TouchPads)
Download Recovery (CWM-6.0.4.9-jcs)
CWM with datamedia support required to properly support emulated sdcard storage in 4.4
Download builds
Download Google Apps (2014-01-05)
Changes
Upstream changes
Devicetree commits
Kernel commits
Wifi driver commits
And as always: I take no responsibility whatsoever for raging, screaming, crying, frustration, failing, confusion, dead kittens, etc.
Thanks/Credits
James Sullins (jcsullins) - for his awesome work on the TouchPad
Tomasz Rostanski (Dorregaray) - for his work on many parts on Android for the TouchPad (esp. camera)
William Bellavance (flintman) - for getting around mr2 quirks of audio and wifi, further development and fixes
Dan Pasanen (invisiblek) - for continuing to port awesome stuff to the TouchPad and many great commits
David R. Marble (drmarble) - for supporting the CM10.1/CM10.2 port, many great ideas and sdcard partition mounting with the new fstab
Arne Coucheron (arco) - for his work on the legacy QC userspace drivers
Erik Hardesty (Erik Hardesty) - for the initial kernel work
eyeballer, verygreen and all other TP Devs - for their innovative and collaborative work
Steve Kondik (cyanogen) - for starting this great project
Google - for an awesome OS

6.0.3.6 should be fine
Also make sure it really downloaded the whole thing , I tried probably 20 times now and it never finished
Yeah I think it's failing for you because its not fully downloading. Says it 175MB but only downloads 168MB. You can't open the archive in Windows/Linux either.

May I suggest posting md5 for all downloads, md5?

ok, thanks to XXCoder1 in irc, got this figured out. the file host server sucks. the correct filesize should be 171330kb with an md5 sum of 126b3aac91a26f8ae1066daecaecf5bd. took multiple downloads, so maybe a new host is in order...

Starting with Alpha 11, we are now producing Gecko/Gaia recovery updates. The easiest way to apply them is to rely on an alternative recovery, like ClockworkMod Recovery, put the zip file on the device SD card, and then install it.
Before being able to apply updates in recovery mode, you should at least flash partitions with alpha 26, because of the GCC 4.8 switch.
Directions to flash partitions:
Code:
fastboot erase boot
fastboot erase system
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash system system.img
Erasing and flashing the userdata partition should be only done in last resort case when you are hitting issues.
Locales:
Those builds are multi-locales:
They includes all the localization work done by Mozilians that is officially available (present in Gaia and with a Mercurial Gaia-L10N repository).
All the keyboards that are part of Gaia are enabled, starting with alpha 20.
If you are willing to work on a new locale or keyboard, please head to Bugzilla.
Current Status:
Nearly all features should be working as expected. Here is a link for details: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Firefox_OS/Samsung_Nexus_S. Regressions may happens.
Please check and report issues on Bugzilla: make sure the bug is not already reported, and file a new one https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi. Please mark your bug as blocking "b2g-nexuss", so that it can be tracked in the Nexus S support meta-bug.
Screenshots:
This is pretty much how it looks.
Here is a good video of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3b0Iy1V2RWc

Yeah sorry. Turns out Formatting System is required. I will fix this in the next update so the flash-able .zip will do this automatically.
So now just follow the directions exactly and it will work.

Haha. No problem. This is why I want it moved to general. I'm not developing it. Just uploading my builds so people can see where Mozilla is heading. Its much better then where it was a month ago.

I have two ROM's I thought I would share. They are both 4.2.2 ROMs; one is AOKP, and the other CyanogenMod. Niether have working Bluetooth and do have most of the current 4.2.2 bugs.
If anyone is curious they can see my Github, my username is CDMoncrieff
I've uploaded the files to Dev-Host under CDMoncrieff and the files are:
cm_tenderloin.april8.zip - 152.30 MB
aokp_tenderloin.april8.zip - 133.95 MB -been told it may wipe SD contents on some Touchpads. Back-up to your PC before flashing please!
Use a file explorer to drop this file in system/bin to fix the multiple light touches bug. ts_srv - 17.84 KB

The 4.2.2 GAPPs package
A question for you, where did you learn to build ROMs for the HP touchpad? I've been googleing how to set up a build environment on Ubuntu, which I've nearly completed but then all guides on building cm10.1 (for example) only cover supported devices of which the Touchpad isn't.... I can't find much with Google at least on Touchpad specific ROM building.

This is hands down the best guide for setting up your build environment. Its okay to be on 13.04 as well, you might just have some unmet dependantcies you need to install. You'll likely be told you are holding broken packages and will need to meet the dependencies before you can install the other packages.
sudo apt-get install gcc
sudo apt-get install g++
After following that guide you should be set up to build.
Building for unsupported devices depends on the ROM you are trying to create. Basically you just need to follow the file paths in your local repository until you find something out of place or missing, then fix it.
You can see my githib at github.com/cdmoncrieff where you can see some of the commits I made to build for AOKP to get an idea of the process. There is also a short build-instructions repo with a few details of the process for 4.2.2. If you have any questions, which if you are going to try building, I will be glad to help
I still need more posts before links, here's another!
OK that's great I will take a look, the main problem for me at the moment is time. I'm currently using Ubuntu 12.10 I'm hoping to at least compile cm9 or cm10 to start with as they are pretty much fully operational. SGA's efforts with 4.2 and yours have inspired me to have ago. I guess the battery life is the main item that needs work in 4.2.2 and working out how to get Bluetooth working. What are your plans? Do you intend to try to improve on the current builds?

I've looked at your github and there are some useful changes in there I may move over to my rom. I just started getting phantom touches in one corner so I'll try out the ts_srv.c change. I might try the system tunings to system.prop, why did you choose those changes?
Why did you disable backuptool in tenderloin_ota_from_target_files? It is what keeps your gapps when you flash. Does it cause you some problems? I find it works just fine.
good job on the rom.
By the way, the camera driver is consuming lots of power (90mA sleep) so I reverted those three commits. The camera doesn't work but I'm down to 19 and I hope to get back to 4. (it's in my new branch c10.1, I'm still new at git so I left my old tree with camera for those who want it and a new tree with it reverted for me.)
Keep up the good work.

Nope, J.C. Sullins is not known for that kind of stuff. However, since he does base his builds on Milaq's CM11, if you look at his OP in the "Change" box, that should give you some idea of what is going on as long as you know how to read that kind of stuff. And that is about as close as you will get to a change log in Milaq's thread.
Fyi. I can confirm that the USB OTG Activation bug is fixed in this build for those that use OTG.
@BIGSimon and others,
JcSullins also has a fully Touch version of Philz CWM 6.0.4.7 jcs DM 20140317 that has the same ROM support as the regular non-touch version and also has a "TWRP Mode" under "Backup and Restore" (Nandroid Settings). Highly recommended. Additional details in post 2 of my "info" thread.

I have a problem with this (and, i think, any other data/media 4.4 rom) - listening to music (tried apollo with local files and play music with cloud music) with screen off results in either complete hang (have to reboot using home + power button), or just audio stopping working until the reboot. In some rare cases it could continue.
I'm attaching the logcat (played some music via play music, it was ok, switched to apollo, turned screen off and sound died), i've saved it after the problem occured, so the relevant data have to be somewhere near the end.
I assume as per Milaq's rom, this rom uses 3.0 kernel?

I don't spend my day looking at the sigs people attach to their posts. I find them really useless. Kind of like the vanity plates people stick on their cars, stupid. You asked a question in the JC Sullins cm 11 thread, I gave you an adequate answer.

Done some googling, found that in some 4.3 rom (milaq, i think) there was a advice to keep bluetooth on to prevent death of audio on sleep. I've tried it, and it seems to be working so far.
Not only while listening music, just keep the pad on (idle) for a while, it enters deep sleep mode. To wake it up you have to press power and home most of the time. Also Bluetooth transferring is not happening.

Welcome to the unofficial CyanogenMod 12.0 nightlies
The releases will co-inside and the build start time is at 03:01 UTC every sunday night and should be uploaded soon after. If at anytime the builds are not there, then there was a problem building the ROM, and we will have a look at it ASAP.
MINIMUM SYSTEM SIZE 800MB
Lollipop needs more space than earlier Android versions. Resizing your system partition to at least 800mb is required.
Also, this build is a datamedia build - this means that we utilise an emulated sdcard on the data partition and both share the same partition thus space. Resizing the sdcard partition (/dev/media) to a rather small size and allocating the remaining size to /data is recommended.
What is datamedia? Click here.
Advised partition layout
Easiest way to get the correct partition sizes is by using jcsullins tptoolbox (v42)
Alternatively one could use "Tailor" in webOS (install with preware et al)
media - 896mb
cache - 200mb
system - 896mb
data - [remaining space] (i.e. ~12.5gb for 16gb TouchPads)
Download Recovery (CWM-6.0.5.1-jcs)
CWM with datamedia support required

Wow, Second cm12 build for our touchpad!
I see that the media partition is mounted by default, am I understanding right?

thanks a lot for the CM12 rom.
How long does the first boot take? It's at the spinning screen for 10 minutes now.
Update: it took 11 minutes to pass the spinning screen, and a total of 34 minutes to finish the boot up.

Yes. From jcs 20150113 cm11 build. I wanted to try if dirty flash works. If not, I would just go to recovery wipe data and reboot (I had my apps backed up with mybackup pro.
So far, it seems dirty flash works, took long time to boot up though.

Anyone know where is the superuser setting? It used to be above developer options in cm11 but I couldn't find it in settings menu in cm12. I can see superuser request prompt.

Hi Milaq,
Nice to see you in another adventure of The lost TouchPad
Is it the same Media partition/Datamedia we use from last rom's Invisiblek [5.0.2][3.4 Kernel] CyanogenMod 12.0 ?
Can we test in dirty flash from here ?
What can I expect going to CM12 from CM11? Like are there compatibility issues with apps I am using to be concerned about? Is it recommended for daily use? I mostly play games with my touchpad on a daily basis. And less frequently watch video (YouTube, hulu, netflix, etc), web browse, and email.
Two quick bugs I found.
1 - When rearranging tiles, the wrong tiles move under my finger (seems like an offset issue).
2 - Settings crashes when I try to enable swiftkey keyboard from its own interface. If going through language/input interface in settings, swiftkey doesn't even show up despite being installed.
Otherwise the performance is great on this ROM.

Superuser has been merged with Privacy Guard, make sure that root access is selected in Developer Options, go back then look in Privacy / Privacy Guard tap and hold on one of the apps to see all the permissions for that app, Root access is normally at the bottom of the list.
This version works great on my touchpad. Perf is good and digitizer works. Assume the 3.4 kernel has some issues with some touchpads? Only issue I have is when streaming music the WiFi will drop out and then the music stops but it does eventually recover.
Anyone with random reboots? With today build, i have reboots in every 5-10 minutes, so i switched back to 0118 build, because the reboots rarely with it.
last_klog attached from a panic with 0118.
Lot of reboot too. Every wake up, Freeze and reboot
No reboots so far for me.. Will continue to use throughout the day and see.
Edit: lol spoke too soon. First reboot just happened.

Looks life digitizer issues were caused by the boot partition running out of space. Once the Evervolv boot image was deleted, cm installed fine, both 3.0 & 3.4 kernels.
Reboots seems to be wifi/ath6k/sdio related. I have 3 more crashlogs.
edit: Yes, it's WiFi related. Upload test with speedtest.net app always reboots the device.
This is pretty vague, but do you notice the gpu performance weaker ? I have random very minor but noticable slow downs on games. I game fully and perfectly played in KK will now suffer a certain... frame slow down... hard to explain.
Yeah changing keyboards causes fc's for me too. Is Bluetooth working? I can turn it on but it doesn't find any devices.

Welcome to the unofficial CyanogenMod 12.1 nightlies

BIG FAT DISCLAIMER: These builds are considered unstable and _not_ yet ready for daily use. ART crashes on preopt and leaves us with no caching whatsoever.
Thus, the nightlies are currently frozen.
You can, nevertheless, download a build and are most certainly welcome to try to find and/or narrow down the issue.

Anyone install this yet? I can't seem to install anything from the play store... it finishes downloading but as soon as it starts installing it pops up a -504 error. I've tried different gapps with no luck. The play store also seems to uninstall itself somehow? sometimes I tap the icon and it just says "App is not installed".
Also, it "optimizes applications" on every single boot.. for every app. It goes by pretty fast though so I'm kind of skeptical that its even doing anything..

Same error here. Also can't install any apk.
It seems like that the rom fails to build art/dalvik cache.
In the data/dalvik-cache/arm, there are only two files: [email protected]@boot.art and [email protected]@boot.oat. There is supposed to be more cache files for apps here.

x3 Although it is stable enough
it seems like ART is giving us trouble again -.-
i will try to find some freetime to troubleshoot it.
until then i will freeze the nightlies in order to avoid having a unstable builds publicly published.
you can, nevertheless, download todays build and are most certainly welcome to try to find and/or narrow down the issue.
sry for the inconviniences.
cheers
I just posted in the old 12.0 thread. If were on your 12.0 version, would I just manually flash a 12.1 rom over mine? What would needed cleared/etc to do this safely and not lose settings/apps? Want to make sure I do it right (might want to wait til its more stable I'd guess though). Thanks. Look forward to the progress. After this 5.1 is stable, I'll be happy letting my touchpad die with this version as its last OS.
Report one more bug: some browsers, such as dolphin HD, uc browser HD, don't display contents, just white. Stock browser works fine.

I installed the new build labeled 20150608 (reports itself as 20150607 on the milaq updates app though…) and haven't had any of the app install issues with it. The only quirk was when I first installed it (after wiping the device), it took a while to properly figure out Google Play Services, but after two days, I've installed several apps and updated most of the Google Apps (used a 5.0 gapps package) without any issues. This definitely makes these CM 12.1 builds more usable!
[Existing bugs: The camera still doesn't work and I haven't been able to see any devices through Bluetooth. (Tested with mouse, audio receiver, smartphone.)]

Since the gapps package that I installed was not have the most current, it needed to update Play Services. But since it updates through the Play Store (which needs Play Services), it can be kind of finicky...
