can anybody reproduce that when rotation is off in system settings and rotation is set "by orientation sensor" in quickpic, after a while it rotates to exactly the opposite state of the sensor?

I figure its possible because I've seen it in landscape sometimes when I unlock in landscape, but ends up going back to portrait. Also shows in landscape if you change the passcode settings in landscape.

I use an app called Rotation Locker which seems to be quite good. Auto is normal and long press auto to rotate home screen and all other apps.
Hit thanks if this helps.

this app is also good even if you have a custom ROM with auto rotation enabled. Because sometimes you just don't want rotate
Thnx
is it free forever?
I've toggled the widget in the drop menu multiple times. I can't seem to get the screen to rotate at all, in menus or apps. Am I missing something? Defective? Does the screen rotate on the home screen?

I've also checked the box for auto rotate under the accessibility settings

if you let it auto rotate, the screen will change from landscape to portrait and vice versa. this happens in both the apps such when in the chrome browser as well as when viewing the desktop. locking auto rotate prevents this rotation as you turn the tablet.
is your screen not rotating?
Hello.
I find the detection of the rotation of the device quite slow. Is there any way to configure it ?
thx for the help
Turn off smart rotation.
I find the Note 2 a bit too sensitive though so I just keep it on to prevent accidental screen rotations.
