I apologize if there is a thread for this but if it exists, I cant find it.
My nexus 4 lags for 5 minutes on Google screen, THEN still boots. I also have no wifi... Even after reflashing boot img, and doing a full wipe
I recently messed up my CWM recovery, and was stuck on stock. I was able to fix it, reflashed CWM using abd and fastboot, everything was successful. Ever since, when my phone loads, it stays on the Google screen for 5 minutes, before it ever starts the rom bootup. This is not just a specific rom, its even happening on stock ROM. My phone does boot, so this is just a OCD fix now, but a 7-10 minute boot for my phone... is kinda crazy. Does anyone have a solution?

I got a question here and now the s stuck.
everything done perfectly and I downloaded CM7, updated it. and then the chaos started.
the phone just show up the startup image, after about 20 seconds, it keeps load the startup image again and again.
I am thinking it's keep reboot the system but just won't start the system.
I flashed RC4 version CM7 as well and same problem. It seems it's not the rom problem. should be something wrong with the phone.
can someone help me here?
thanks
did you do a full wipe before flashing it?
Get into your recovery and wipe the data, the cache, and the dalvik cache, then flash CM7

which logo? the moto/google logo, or the cyanogen logo? if its the cm logo, i hope you know that the first bootup could take up to 10 minutes, so its normal, if it doesnt boot for a quite long time at first? and btw, which sndinit did you install? did you wipe data/cache/dalvik before or after installing cm?
I installed The offical Cyanogen update (Google Cyanogen Combo) And also one from XDA Called Defy and has a Red Moto and Bee Logo)
These are the logos I cannot get pasted, When I try to wipe Dalvik, Its like a refresh, Nothing happens apart from a quick flash, Wiping Cahce actually does something. But as I said I get stuck at these splash screens.
Perhaps something has went wrong?
Im certainly not new to this, But I think this device is probably the most complicated I have dealt with.

read the console in cwm, when you wipe dalvik, it actually wipes it, and it sais "Dalvik cache wiped" at the bottom. have you wiped data? and have you tried leaving your phone boot for like 15 minutes?
Yea left it ALTEAST 30 mins before I tried a few things.
And when I wipe Dalvik, Theres nothing at all to say anything happened.

interesting. what 2nd init version did you install?
"Lastest" As directed here on XDA I think its 1.0.7?
If I try to wipe from Android System recover I get E:Cant mount CACHE: Recovery/log.
So there is an issue somewehre I think?
Also currently Selecting Either Lastest or Stable take me to CWM 5.0 (Blue) Rather than the orange colored one I was getting from stable...
EDIT: Being hit with E: Errors at the bottom of CWM also now...
Also just tried to wipe data, Got an error mounting data...
So where can I find a stock 2.2.2 Orange rom and start from scratch?
im having some serious issues, that render my phone essentially unusable. at this point, i just want a working phone. right now, i can get into bootloader/hboot/fastboot but when i select recovery, it reboots to the white htc evo screen, then sits there looping. the only way for me to get into recovery is if i flash a recovery via adb with fastboot, and then i can get in, and ive tried flashing a rom, which says is successful, then i tell it to reboot, it made it into the rom. but then i needed to reboot, and then it just kept looping the bootanimation. battery pull and try again, still loops animation. then i try to get into recovery via bootloader, and im back to square one, looping htc evo white screen.
any ideas??? thanks
-Alex

You may as well, if you can wipe everything, except your SD card. Try and reflash the ROM then. The only reason I asked about your recovery is it seems like the same problem people have been having with TWRP2.

lol, so goto recovery, then just go down the list of things to wipe and reflash rom?
Yup wipe it all 3-5x just don't wipe sdcard or batt stats wipe: factory reset/data 5x then everything else at least 3x I always wipe everything 5x if I'm changing roms or restoring a backup
got into recovery wiped, flashed rom, and its all looking good. confused as to why it started working out of nowhere, but it seems to be good, and im fine with that lol. thanks!!
Hi. My Nexus 4 got stuck in a bootloop while attempting to flash the PAC-man ROM and I have no idea what to do!
I am a total noob at this, so I'll just go through the details. I cleaned Dalvik and Cache and then flashed the files: pac_mako-22.2.0-rc1(Downloaded from official PAC-ROM site) and gappsinverted-jb-20130308-signed(From rootzwiki). After flashing these two, I tried starting the phone. The minigame turned up and then it moved on to the 'PAC is LOADING' screen. It stayed like that for 15 minutes... The only way I knew the phone hadn't hung was because there was the constant movement of the loading bar. So I got into TWRP recovery again and flashed Paranoid Android back so the device would be usable again.
I really want to try PAC-man and would be grateful to anyone who can help me out...

You have to also wipe DATA when you flash a new ROM. Use the factory reset option.
also, your gapps are out of date. you got stuck at rebuilding the dalvik, which is kinda normal for android 4.3. all you have to do, should have to do, is force reboot once or twice until the dalvik gets rebuilt, then itll boot.

Sorry, but I don't know what you mean by 'force reboot'. Could you walk me through the steps please? Thanks!

Hold the power button for about 10 seconds.
You are trying to use 4.2.2 gapps on 4.3 rom
Hi All!
I seem to be stuck in a bootloop on my 6P. I was running the latest Pure Nexus build, and I was having a bit of trouble with some apps, so I decided to reboot into TWRP and wipe the cache. After booting up again, everything seemed normal. The phone was running for a minute or so, and it just shut off. After that, it just keep rebooting. It's not a normal bootloop. I do not reach the animation, I only get to the screen where it says "google" and has the unlocked padlock symbol on the bottom. After that, it starts all over again with the "cannot check for corruption screen."
To be very clear: I can't boot anything at all, including recovery. I have tried flashing multiple versions of TWRP and multiple versions of the stock recovery.
Here is what I've tried so far:
I have flashed back to the latest 7.1.1 release both manually and using the flash all command
I used fastboot to erase the system, cache, boot, and userdata. I ran the commands normally and also with -w.
I've tried to flash an older version of android - 6.0, I think.
Nothing seems to work. I haven't made it to the boot animation once since it shut down.
I also left it on the charger all night just to be sure. The battery was at about 75% when it shut down.
Thanks!
RMA bro.

Yeah, google agrees with me. They've sent me a new phone. I wish I could have found a solution, though.

Glad your warranty worked for you. Pure Nexus seems to be a recurring factor in several threads. I've never used it myself. Over in this thread, an experienced user ran into a bootloop that would not clear with a fresh wipe and installation with flash-all.bat or even flashing partitions manually. Flash-all.bat finished with no errors but still looping. As a last resort he used Skipsoft's Toolkit to re-install stock and it worked. The toolkit script formats userdata and cache and this appears to be what solved the problem. Interestingly, he was able to reproduce the problem with PN. After installing it, he went into a bootloop again and the toolkit again got him back to stock. So, others that are stuck in a bootloop especially after running or updating PN should try formatting userdata and cache, or use the toolkit.
