[Q] Touchwiz Launcher crashes - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey,
everytime I doublepress my Home Button, the Touchwiz Launcher crashes. I have BoBCaTROM installed on my Note 3.
Here is the error from LogCat:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Can someone tell me what causes this error and how I can fix it? I don't want anything to happen when I doublepress the Home Button, I just want my TouchWiz Launcher not to crash.
Thanks

Thanks but im not sure if this error is caused by the rom.
Before i installed the rom touchwiz launcher crashed sometimes too. At this time I didn't figure out what causes the crash, but probably it also was the double click on home button.
I think the launcher tries to start an app which is removed or deactivated, but I don't know which app this could be.

Default home screen help

OK, this is a strange situation. I'm currently using awn launcher and for some reason I can't change my default home button to awn, I also can't remove what ever default home is. I've tried going to setting- manager apps- home and awn launcher and both of them the change default option is greyed out.i don't know what to do.i tried restarting, but nothing worked. Please help me.

AWN Launcher? Im kinda confused but it seems that you have tried:
Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>Home>Clear defaults?
If that doesn't work another way you can clear defaults is download another home laucher. Try and install another home like PandaHome or scan this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
After you install it it should ask you again what you want to set your default home as.

Haha, sorry I was thinking of a dock for linux. What I mean was adw... OK problem solved. Thank you so much.

yup
it happens on galaxy s III too
But don't worry about it
it s about laggy launcher and some bugs in launcher.apk (stock)
use another launcher or reinstall another stock launcher
or completely flash ur rom
:good:
Ohh well I guess need to wait..

[Off topic] Home screens

Seeing as every other device forum has one of these, i thought i'd start one here to see what the more creative amongst us have set up.
Mine is a very simple setup using nova launcher and clean clock widget.

Google Now Launcher Crash

The Google Now Launcher, which arrived with the latest update to Google Search, generates a weird error with Cal app from Any.do. I had a Cal widget on my homescreen previously with GEL which worked perfectly without a hitch.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
After upgrading to latest version of Google Search, if I tap anywhere in the Cal widget, the launcher hangs and crashes in a moment and restarts itself. Unfortunately, after the restart it becomes completely unusable, tapping on any app icon will immediately result in Google Search crash.
Pulling down the notification bar and tapping on Settings will result in systemui crash!
At this point, I didn't have much of a choice other than rebooting the device to get it back into working condition. But I also pulled the logcat out of my device before rebooting it.

Did anyone else experience similar problems with the Google Now Launcher? I replicated the same error on my Nexus 4 under similar conditions as well. I want to find out if this is a particular problem with Cal widget or a bug on Google Now Launcher.
Bump!
Can anyone replicate the issue on his/her devices?
