Hey guys I just switched to the G2 from the S4 and wanted to know if there are any known dialer codes an such. I know the s4 has one *#0011# - gives you RF data, *#2263# - allows you to select raido band and protocol IE hpsa/ LTE, and many more. Also under the *#*#4636#*#* code how can I get the network perference menu? This is the first phone I had that has it missing.
In the phone's dailer type :
3845#*802#
The 802 is my phone's model number you should replace it with you're own number that wil get you in the hidden menu

Do you know anything about the preferred network menu under the *#*#4636#*#* menu?

I have a Unicel HTC Wildfire CDMA that I would like to unlock, but for the love of ...you know who, I cannot find the IMEI.
Not under battery, not with *#06#, not under Menu Settings, etc.
I even tried ##786# and enter service mode....nothing.
Anybody can shed some info ?
Thanks
Open the dialer and press *#*#4636#*#*
Wait for a menu to pop up and choose phone information, it should be right at the top of
the screen.

That did it, thank you very much, you are a genius.
fair enough, i wasn't sure, glad you found a solution
Hello ! What about adding this option to our phone? Thanks!
it is already possible even in stock condition
1) go to your dialer and dial *#*#4636#*#*
2) hidden menu will appear, tap Phone information
3) scroll the page down and look for preferred network type:
4) select wcdma only and you will have 3g only

Its good , but having this option in main menu is better , isn't it? I think if this option present in hidden menu , we may add it ti main?
Not sure how you can add it to the main menu.
But u can simplifies the above steps by using Anycut to create a shortcut to "Phone Info" so that the "3g only" setting is only 2 taps away from home screen
good luck
l *#*#4630#*#* didnt work for me
i got it to work its *#*#4636#*#*
Thanks for the correction, had a typo

Hey I am having an issue with the free unlock for my Fido S4 running 4.2.2 . It isn't rooted to my knowledge but when I go through the first step of dialing the *#0011# And theni press menu back, menu key input 1, then press menu back... I don't get booted into the UMTS Main Menu. Nothing happens. I did look at the screen shots for the free unlock guide and i think the main difference in where is says service mine says 'Service: Limited" instead of "Service :Active" . Has anyone else run into this problem? Or does anyone know why my phone would say "Service: Limited"?
Here is a screen shot. Thanks in advance.

To b honest brotha I would call your service provider and try n get the unlock code or pay for it online b4 attempting the free unlock method.I had success with my phone cause it was a i337 s4 on MDL base.I m on twilight Rom now and that's why it says "sent from my GT-I9505 using xda premium"

After you press menu key input and enter 1 press OK and just wait a few seconds. You don't press menu back after entering the 1

Hi Guys,
Is there any setting which I am missing, whenever I click on the phone icon. I am always presented with the dialer and then I have to scroll to call logs. Is there some setting where in I am always presented call logs (as in nexus4) and then i scroll to dialer?
Thanks again
When in the dialer, hit menu, and edit tabs.
Thanks Devs. From my VZW G2.
That is editing the tabs but still the dialer opens by default. Is there any way we can change it to call logs?

I don't think it can. Your best bet would be to use a different dialer.
I just ran into a solution for this. It's not available as an option on the dialer but it is available as a setting on the G2 TweaksBox module for the Xposed framework. I installed it and enabled that option and it's working fine for me.
