I was looking for an app to hide status bar, so i could use all screen. Does Anyone know how to hide status bar on LG G2?
Sorry my english
Hi,
I assume you are rooted, so you can edit the build.prop file (/sytem/build.prop) by editing it. At the end add "qemu.hw.mainkeys=1" (without the "") save and reboot (delete the line, save and reboot if you want the navigation bar).
But it's not really safe in my opinion...
There are some apps like this one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gmd.hidesoftkeys or Xposed module: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2477586.
This module to hide status and navbar. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2477586
Look up LMT launcher for Pie control. Works perfectly on my G2.

I was just curious if there is anyway to hide the black home/back bar at the bottom of the screen? Is there any kind of option to hide it until you tap at the bottom and make it appear? Thanks.

Not with the stock ROM. Some custom roms have this type of feature available though (usually it's a toggle in the Power menu).

You can easily hide it on a stock rom with a build.prop edit. Just add qemu.hw.mainkeys=1 to your build.prop and reboot. Then you have no more navigation bar. You'll need to use something like LMT launcher (here at xda) or Button Savior (in play store) to have the home, recent, back, etc functions (easiest to set up BEFORE rebooting after editing build.prop ).

You can do this, but it's not exactly what the op was looking for. He wants to be able to hide and show the bar at will.
You can use GMD Hidebar or GMD GestureControl to hide the navbar.

Thanks for the help so far guys.

I tried this and it hid the top bar as well. I just want the bottom buttons gone, since I use Button Savior.

Hey, you can use HideBar http://ppareit.github.com/HideBar/ to hide the navigation bar.
I want to use PIE control instead. Is there some kind of build.prop mod or something that hides the nav bar?
Might be worth going for a custom ROM that has PIE. All you then have to do is switch to Expanded Desktop and there you have it!?
You'll find many ROMs that do PIE. There is also a launcher that does that, it's called LMT Launcher. You will find it here on XDA.

I don't want to flash a whole new ROM. I just want the PIE control and nav bar removal. PIE control has a Play Store app so I don't need to flash that but I know there has to be some kind of simple mod to remove the nav bar.
Ah, ok, didn't realize there was an app for it.
How about this:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1780970

It seems to force tablet UI, but the nav bar still remains. I know there was a way to make the nav bar appear for the Note 2 so there has to be a way to hide the nav bar for the Nexus 7.
download LMT launcher, it's been around longer than PIE has and doesn't require any specific rom...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1330150
you can go into google playstore and search for PieControl Pro. There is a free version and a pro version for $1.99

So can this hide the nav bar?
Flash ParanoidAndroid ROM it has built in PIE navigation in Quick Settings so when you tap on it your navigation bar hides and PIE control activates and if you are worried about Tablet UI you can turn it off any time you want. =)

are you on the stock rom? not sure if LMT can hide the navigation menu. you may as well just flash any other rom since almost every other rom lets you hide the navigation menu anyways. LMT is also way more customizable than PIE.
At the end of build prop add
qemu.hw.mainkeys=1
Save and exit, I don't believe it works on stock rom though but I could be wrong.
I use this on roms that don't have it built in navbar hide built in, and I use lmt launcher, because I prefer it to pie.

Is there a launcher that can hide the navigation bar on the home screen?
S' mobitela
No. Why do you only want to hide it while on the home screen?
Edit: If you just want to hide it period, you can use this. http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1243352&d=1344188251

You need a custom rom like PA in order to do that.
Or use lmt so which is pie, so you can now hide the navigation bar buttons in expanded mode.

You can also use gmd gesture control if you want to stay on stock but quickly hide/unhide navbar using gesture, even on custom roms its faster than having to hold power button and clicking expanded desktop

This is a great way to permanantly hide navbar but keep notification bar on stock but there is 2 problems i encountered with this method, 1st prob was the 3 dots would dissapear from chrome etc and on 4.2.2 i encoutered a flicker problem quite often but it sounds like the OP wanted to just hide the bar on home screen which im not sure why lol but if thats what he wants his best bet would be gmd gesture control or custom rom with expanded desktop mode

Agreed gmd gesture looks pretty cool.

All other app hide navigation bar and notification bar. I'm developing new root app that will allow to hide just navigation bar and replace it with auto hide status bar replacement :fingers-crossed:. No system files modification and no reboot required, but root is still needed.
Try it here and let me know what you think.

I want to hide Navigation Bar and status bar not to make them transparent, i have tried widgetlocker but it just hides nav bar buttons and not the bar.
Tried PA3.01 expand mode but its kinda buggy or not working well when i choose to go to home screen it opens it twice and doing some lag too. flashed different roms but no rom had a feature to disable nav bar only on lockscreen, aokp had this feature but it was buggy as well so they removed it instead of fixing.
Need help, thanks.
I'm running PA3.1 and its running just fine, no problems at all. Give it another go! And to hide the nav bar, just set the size to 0% in Hybrid Settings.

Gravity box for xposed framework has a section to tweak the navbar. It also has an expanded desktop feature which can hide the status bar/navbar and use pie control.

Hi
I need the Home-screen on my ZL in Full-mode (expanded?), maybe without Pagination Marker and extra Row for Icons.
Im using Pie from GravityBox, without Navbar.
I'm searching 2 day's (and night's) for an Alternative to this Fullscreen.apk
Now (Lolli, root, Recovery) it didn't work anymore on my 6503.
Any Idea's how realized it?
Thx

Bro you can try serajr's "Xperia™ Xposed (LP)"
The feature you asked is available as option in additional quick tiles option.
I guess this is not right place to ask questions.[emoji6]

:cyclops:
O.k - (not really easy to find)
System Ui/Enable Extra Tiles/"Navigation Bar" - pull down QuickSettings + insert the icon and enable.
:good:
5th Row:
Home Launcher/Desktop/Grid-Numbers of Rows/"5"
----GEM Xposed can delete the Page Dots.
Now it looks like this!
Hurra

Yes, but only with "Space", and only when if i want use the navbar (i prefer transparent PIE; LMT).
You can use Xposed and install 3dot menu Mod for change nav = 0
