You have to rename the audio file located
System\media\audio\ui
Named
VideoRecord.ogg to VideoRecord.bak or just delete. I prefer to rename but whatever you do will remove that awful noise.
Hmm thats not it. Ill search around a bit more.

Changed it but no change. Couldn't find any others to change.
I used Tasker app to get rid of the video button sound. When the camera app is launched, the phone goes into silent mode, then turns off silent mode when the camera closes. It was my first time using Tasker, so there may be a better way, but it works.

I also found this annoying, especially while watching video etc. The only solution I ever found was to mute the sounds, which stopped the alerts interrupting the music or video playback, and as a bonus, you still hear the ringer through the headphones
If you have/use tasker, you can create a policy that detects when your watching films or listening to music and automatically sets the alerts to mute, then sets it back when your done.
But how to mute? I selected mute sounds in configuration and player stopped too.

I just mute it using the mute/vbrate toggle in the quick setting menu and still am able to play music via google play or videos
Heyho!
Today I listened HD-music via headphones. When I took a photo playback stopped for about a second (no shutter sound could be heard), and after that the settings of SoundAlive had changed (bass and clarity were now off). Does anybody know what to do?
Thanks from Berlin!

I have the exact same problem. Now the SoundAlive program is dead. The options like 3D , bass and clarity doesn't get activated on touch, neither do the various reverberation effects down at the bottom.

Hi,
Is there any way to play music while on a call?
I'm back on stock Bell ROM and rooted but thinking about going back to xtrastolite as it's way better.
Thanks,

And why do you need to listen to music while on a call?
For instance if I wanted to play a song on voicemail or a recorded call to another person.

So do I understand you correctly, you would like to be on a call on your phone and then play a audio file (Song, VM, whatever) outloud so they can hear it as though you were holding 2 devices?
If that's right I think that would be a multi level challenge. Problem you will face I believe is the rom itself is pretty deeply coded to mute music for calls, for gps, etc... so MIGHT be a possibility would be to install a 3rd party music player and code the output of that player to say the REAR speaker and ignore any pause or mute requests, but idk for sure... I bet this would be a lot of close one door open 2 more kinda thing for a while.
I do what I normally do which is go into the system UI media folder and delete the camera click sound after rooting. However this time even with those files completely deleted the camera app still make the shutter sound. Is it like OEM camera apps now where the sound is built into the app and it's not using the folder sound anymore?

why don't u just disable shutter sound from camera app?
each camera app can use different shutter sound that can be store inside app files (completely not accessible for users)
:good:
I'm talking about the stock app. No setting to.

If you have emui 4, go to notify bar, open it and modify the shortcuts. You'll see screen recorder.:highfive:

So I think the best is rec me free, but you need root. I think it should be better if you connect your phone to a computer and use a phone screen recorder PC app:good:

Turn up the volume and sit somewhere in silence. It will record the audio coming out of speaker. It's a drag but it's better than 3rd party apps which can't even record at 25fps even in standard quality(480p).
