Get out of Download mode? - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshootin

I want to check the counter on my S4. Is there another way to get out of Download Mode besides pulling battery? I hate fooling with taking S4 out of case to get to battery.
Thanks

Holding the power button for about 10 seconds will turn the phone off completely. Once off you can just hold the power button again, and hopefully you'll boot up fine.

How to know if the 3 button trick is working

I've booted my phone with the power + home + volume down. To test the download mode, however the logo shows for about 2 seconds and then repeats on a loop. This happens until I let go of all 3 buttons.
Same applies with volume up (recovery mode)
Is this bad or good?
Let go of power only when it "loops"
I figured it out thanks. Basically my spanish operator tried locking me down.

[Q] Noob question: How to know if the phone is ON ?

Ok, really noob.
I turn the phone off every night but sometimes I forget if I turned it off or not.
As far as I know, we can only click the power button to light the screen but if the phone is already shutdown it will turn on again.
Is there any other key to touch the phone so we'll able to see if it's on?
Hold town power and vol down. If it is on it will.go to.the lock screen and if it is off hboot will appear, wait for the green text to go and then use vol keys to navigate to fastboot and press power to select and then navigate to power down and press power

What's the best way to restart the N4 if it locks up

I was wondering because since the N4 doesn't have a removable battery, is there a way to get it to restart if the power button becomes unresponsive?
If you hold the power button long enough it will turn off, even if the os is frozen.

No restart option

Was trying to restart wifes Nexus 4, only option when holding power key down is to power off. Is there any other way?
Also, how do you screen shot on it?

Keep holding the power button. It will restart after a few seconds.
edit: to take a screen shot of "hold power + volume down"

Click to collapse
I don't think holding down the power button is the greatest suggestion if you want to just reboot the device.
If you hold down the power button, what that does is it forces the device to shut down. Keep it held and your device will power back on. That would seem like a reboot. But it's the equivalent of pulling the power form your PC to shutdown and then booting it up again. It's simply not the proper way to shutdown or reboot.
Natively, there's no way to easily reboot your device. Most custom ROMs have a reboot option in the power menu. If you don't want to flash custom ROMs, there are apps that let you reboot. Just search "reboot" in Google Play.
You can also use the reboot command in terminal emulator if the phone is rooted.... and you just made me reboot my phone.

Power button

Got a nexus 7 but the power button doesn't work.
Can put the screen to sleep using a magnet but the power button wont work.
Im scared that if the battery goes down that it will never come back up.
Can anyone help if I could power it up without the power bottom.
Thanx
