Gangstar: West Coast Hustle (Android)

Hi ho,
I have a problem with this game and I am aware that other users face the same problem, which is that the game does not load. I had tried all methods of installing it, wether it's installing normally letting the APK download the content files automatically from the Gameloft server or manually placing the data files onto the SD card, but either way there is a problem. I tried one version which successfuly installed all data files but when launching it is simply doesn't want to start up, in other cases the downloading just hangs at 80-90%.
I saw youtube videos, which showed that the desire was cable of running, it but I'm not sure how, maybe it was running Froyo or simply theres a way to hack your through it.
I ask anyone in the same situation if they have solved the problem, so far I am able to play Fifa 10 (EA), Asphalt 5, Real Football 2010, NFS: Shift, flawlessly.

i have it installed currently but after some playing...it lags a bit...i think this is due to the adreno gpu

Could you tell me, how I could go about installing it successfully, using your method. I do hope that your HTC is not rooted or tampered with.

did you bought the game from gameloft? i,ve played it and asphalt 5, and hawx and assasins creed, all bought directly from gameloft website.

no. But, I do not see if this should be a problem as the data was downloaded directly from Gameloft servers.

Anybody......?

The pirated version you use is probably an older version. They did have some problems with earlier versions not working but the latest releases all work fine. Just buy it.

To my suprise, the link you provided worked perfectly without any hiccups. I had downloaded the same version from another site, but I have a feeling it was missing some files.
Tbh, the game is a big dissapointment, however...I got Assasins Creed which is Uber-Awesome.

[Q] Games on the Xperia Play App Q

I downloaded Zenonia 2 and Spider-Man Total Mayhem from V-Cast, but when I slide my phone open and the Xperia Play App launches, they don't show up in here. They are advertised in the app, but don't show up here when I have them. They show up with the rest of my apps and work, but I feel like they should also be in the Play App. Is there a reason for this? Can I change it?

No cache to clear in the app... plus I also downloaded Assassins Creed at the same time and that one shows up properly in the app...

uh, when I go to the android market, it isn't listed with the rest of my programs that need updates

usually happens when you download games which are meant for other phones..
is the gamepad working on those games?

The D pad and such work for them, not the touch sensors. I would think it was the right game for the Play... since I clicked on the Ad for the game when it popped up in the Xperia Play app, then I downloaded the game from the link it provided

It wont pop up saying it needs updating. Well mine didnt. If you have not updated it since you have had the phone just search xperia play and the game launcher will come up on the market to download/update. It depends on the game developer as well. Doodle Jump which does not use the gamepad shows up in my launcher but other games that use the gamepad dont.

Downloaded and updated the Xperia Play App, still no change. I could kind of understand some games not being supported, but it would be weird if that were the case here, since the same app is advertising them in a way that looks almost identical to "games you own" section.

Older games which used Joysticks and Dpads on resistive screen devices will use the XPlay DPad as well.

Just gonna bump my thread incase anyone else has a clue to fix this issue

Possible workaround for gameloft games

Hi. I just wanted to share something I found out over the weekend. I have successfully loaded the Gameloft game, Order and Chaos onto my Ouya and am able to log on and play it. I bought the game directly from Gameloft for my phone and side loaded it onto the Ouya. Now since it is from Gameloft and not from the play store, there is no license check with the play store. Also I found to play the game, since the controller isn't supported, the app game keyboard works well in making the controller work for the game. I haven't tried any others at this point but I will in the near future. I would also like to ask has anyone found a way to get a mic up and working on this device? I've tried a couple different Bluetooth headsets and a USB mic but none will record. Thanks.

All controls work? I downloaded dragon hunter 4 and am able to get most controls except for sword swing to work

I have the controls working for movement, camera pan, and all the skilsl on the skill bar working. As far as menus go I use the touchpad to select items and to click chat logs and maps. Gamekeyboard allows you to move buttons around to the places you need them and map them to buttons.

can anyone confirm that "blitz brigade" is working with the controller?

Could not get Asphalt 7: Heat working.
Neither the HD version bought from their website.
Nor the normal one with the google play store hack installed.
Too bad, did anyone have success?

Thanks for your tip! I have been unsuccessful in getting gamekeyboard to work. I was up to 4:30 a.m. trying to figure it out. I've come close but no success thus far. Could you be kind enough to share with us the settings you used in gamekeyboard to make it work on the Ouya. I would really appreciate it.

I would also appreciate you letting us know the settings. I can get it to emulate my controller in mode, but when I go to a game I can call it up but it's nonresponsive.

[Q] Controller game help

I recently received my madcatz mojo. I installed real boxing, dead on arrival 2, and bards tales. I can get pasted the menu screen however I cant play the games.
For real boxing I cant move or punch the boxer in the training stage.
For dead on arrival I can move the character but I cant shoot. I know that there was a topic on dead on arrival and the user says that they were able to shoot after installing the update. I did that and I still cant shoot.
For bards tale I saw a YouTube video where it was working properly but I cant get it to work.
Can some please help me resolve my issues. Like which version of the games that they have that works or which settings that they use.
Overall I like my mojo I just wish that Madcatz would have spent more time with Google play.
On another issue that I had been experiencing is that sometimes my mojo will freeze on me while I'm on the internet or watching a movie. I wonder if you guys have experienced that also .

I had to download DOA2(Mod) via aptoide to be able to shoot, it's the left trigger. Havent tried those other games. I would suggest trying to download them from some third party marketplace such as aptoide - i've had good luck with that. There are actually a lot of high end games that work well with the CTRLR.

This might seem like a very silly question, but have you tried switching modes on the CTRLR? That switch on the bottom of the unit should be slid to the left. Sometimes it's the easiest solution...

The Bard's Tale through the Play Store works absolutely fine with the CTRLR, provided you're in Gamesmart mode (the left position on the mode switch). InXile specifically updated the game to support it!

Mortal combat x crashes on One Plus 2

Hi,
I just bought a brand new OnePlus 2 which came with Android 5.1.1. I installed the game Mortal combat x from google play store and hit the app icon to launch the game. As soon as the story video completes the game crashes. Anyone facing similar problem or having solution to this problem ?
Note: I was able to successfully play same game in my Moto-G which have android 5.0.2

Hmm... I have 1+2 for weeks and i only had problems with old version Mortal Kombat X. Let's try update Google Play Services and reinstall game (with clean install).

Probably best thing goes is to let th the devs know that game isn't working in your device and others have reported the same.

Mortal Combat X is a game with lots of faults on lots of devices. Can't really blame it on OPT. All we can do is wait for game devs to update and fix errors.

The only solution I found was to install the apk of an older version of this game, then it starts perfectly and then update the game from play store.

How do you manage to update the game from the Play Store if you're not installing the game from the Play Store?

Can anyone tell me how to fix this crash on my oxygen 2.1.2.it keeps crashing after the subzero screen. i'm so desperate to play this game on my OP2. i tried downloading the older versions, tried downloading by apk downloader plugin on chrome,torrent file,adreno gpu+obb(onhax) but none worked. if anyone could help me i would be very much obliged.

Solution
I have a working apk for this game.
1. Install the game from the apk then start it and let it download sources from the google play store.
2. Start the game, complete the trailer of the game
3. Update the game from google play store to have the most recent challenges.
There is no attachment option here. Let me know your email if you need the apk.

I found a way to play Mortal Kombat X on OP2
those who are facing issue with force close of game after intro do the following,
1)download gltools app from xda link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-gltools-1-29-t2828630
2)now install gltools and reboot
3)then select MCX from app and enable>> Enable custom settings for this app
4)Now there are two workarounds,
i] Use lower render resolution >> 0.5x (after this start game once, game will start but with glitches now close the game and again change value to 1x(Disabled)) now run game it will work flawlessly.
ii] second option is to>> tick Use fake GPU info and select adreno 320 template.and start the game.
Note: one should work but if not use both tricks game will work fine.

My phone is not rooted..damn.! any other way to install gltools without root or please suggest any other tools(non root)
