I downloaded Zenonia 2 and Spider-Man Total Mayhem from V-Cast, but when I slide my phone open and the Xperia Play App launches, they don't show up in here. They are advertised in the app, but don't show up here when I have them. They show up with the rest of my apps and work, but I feel like they should also be in the Play App. Is there a reason for this? Can I change it?

No cache to clear in the app... plus I also downloaded Assassins Creed at the same time and that one shows up properly in the app...

is the gamepad working on those games?
The D pad and such work for them, not the touch sensors. I would think it was the right game for the Play... since I clicked on the Ad for the game when it popped up in the Xperia Play app, then I downloaded the game from the link it provided

It wont pop up saying it needs updating. Well mine didnt. If you have not updated it since you have had the phone just search xperia play and the game launcher will come up on the market to download/update. It depends on the game developer as well. Doodle Jump which does not use the gamepad shows up in my launcher but other games that use the gamepad dont.
Downloaded and updated the Xperia Play App, still no change. I could kind of understand some games not being supported, but it would be weird if that were the case here, since the same app is advertising them in a way that looks almost identical to "games you own" section.

Older games which used Joysticks and Dpads on resistive screen devices will use the XPlay DPad as well.
Just gonna bump my thread incase anyone else has a clue to fix this issue

My xperia play has lots of games installed on it when i open some they dont start i have to force close then it will open after 2 or 3 tries can someone help, age of zombies roboto and afew others take 3 or 4 tries to start sometimes.
I don't know whats wrong, I was also experiencing the same problem with Samurai vengeance 2 and Asphalt 6, Maybe reinstall? or clear cache?

I have many games on my play 100+ and i prob have 300+ apps alltogether. 55 games in my play launcher too i dont have any problems like this, games start up fast and run smoothly, and i usually have around 120mb of free ram when device is idol. maybe you should just try a hard reset and start again or like Yourmama said, try clearing data/cache for the apps that dont work proply

Mine used to do this too- I could not find a fix so had it replaced by my network provider and games working fine. It was force closing pre-loaded games like Bruce Lee and Sims3 and it also affected Asphalt 6. No problems since on my new one.
For me Asphalt 6 wouldn't even start >.< it would play the first video of the game and once I skip it or it is done it would freeze and the loading and then just quit out

This is because the DRM, the game automatically signs into gameloft server to obtain a license via wifi... (I think 3g works too. but i have it blocked as i don't have a data plan), once it is done. you are good to go.
I read somewhere you have to do this license thing once, while in other boards somebody said you have to do it everytime you shut down / turn on your phone.

Legion have you tried Modern Combat 4 the latest meltdown update Gameloft secretly added generic HID support and works perfect out of the box check it -
Also I know Ouya supports Dual Shock 3 pad native, have you tried pushing permissions to system and installing Playstation Mobile?

I've tried several different versions of Modern Combat 4 and unfortunately none of them work. Since the OUYA doesn't have the Android market the only Gameloft games that will work are from the WAP store, but even then the only one that's working right now is Dungeon Hunter 4. I REALLLY want Blitz Brigade but no matter how I try to sideload it it refuses to work.
PSM does work but I haven't experimented with it much.
You maybe able to later (Check this last post in the Google market fix thread/Ouya developement - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=43203621&postcount=31) This MC4 with HID is the latest Google version BTW.

Anyone else have trouble with The Conduit force closing?
I got to the 2nd mission (the one that looks like they pinched it straight from Goldeneye on the N64), about half way through and the game just closes back to the Ouya menu. Anyone know of a workaround? It's seems like quite an entertaining game.
Your post says all gamevil RPGs have you actually been able to get Dark Avenger to work? if so how? I am unable to get even past the intro screen and controller seems to do nothing.

Have you tried installing an apk installing the Google Play Store on the OUYA? Don't know if this is possible and haven't tried because my OUYA just got in.

You can't just simply install the apk for the Play Store on OUYA. The Play Store relies on several Google frameworks that aren't present on OUYA, and even if they were, you'd need SU on the console to push the Play apk to system and set the relevant permissions. There's a whole thread about it on the forums somewhere.

As I said I haven't tried it or read about it. Just was making a comment. Have been reading an other topic that they have installed the apk but still don't have any luck on getting apps to work more easely.
How do you get Jet Set Radio to work? I tried to copy the APK and the Android/obb/jetsetradio (or android/data/jetsetradio i can't remember) folder as well but it crashes when I try to launch it

I haven't been able to get it to work outside of getting into the main menu either. That entry refers to their retro styled rpgs like the Zenonia series, Illusia series, Destinia, etc. I'll edit that part of the list for future reference. Sorry about that.

Jet Set Radio works great for me, make sure you are copying the obb file to Android/obb/com.sega.jetsetradio/ because as you have it written won't work.

Edit: The game won't open, the screen just flashes with a spinning loading icon.
I'm downloading it from the market now
If it doesn't work with the Ouya controller I can also test with PS3, 360, and Nyco Playpad.

I'm still pretty new to the ouya but I'll try some stuff over the weekend.
Got GTA VC and III working great, no problems.
You can add Pocket League Soccer by Kairosoft to your list of working games. It works with the analog stick and the d-pad although you have to use the touchpad for pressing things. I'll test more Kairosoft games and I guess they'll work the same way since they are pretty much the same games.
How did you get beach buggy blitz to worm with controller?

Galaxy Hero has controller support, but it's a bit wonky and at times you still need the touch pad.
I'm trying out Spectral Souls right now. When it finishes installing (It validated my Play Store Purchase) Ill post how it goes.
Ok, time for some more... Sadly though, my logitech wireless mouse and keyboard don't work. Probably cause they are 5 years old. xD
Anyways, here we go:
Age of Zombies - black screen, not working.
Beat Hazard - working though only with the touchpad which is quite difficult. I used the fixed thumb stick and had to double-tap and drag it around.
Death Worm - working yet impossible to play with only the touchpad.
FIFA 12 - won't download data. I didn't try transferring data.
Gunman Clive - working really good thankfully after changing the controls in the pause menu.
Heist: The Score - downloads data fine, but I can't navigate the menu at all.
The Impossible Game - navigating the menu with the touchpad and jumping with the O-button works great, yet placing markers only works with the touchpad which can be tricky.
Infectonator - only with the touchpad which is quite difficult.
Space Invaders: Infinity Gene - only with the touchpad and in portrait mode which makes it practically unplayable.
Kami Retro - downloads data. Does not respond at all though after that.
Osmos HD - of course very hard to play with only the touchpad, but it's working.
Pac-Man Championship Edt - working with the controller, although it is in portrait mode and strangely there is no sound.
PewPew 2 - also strangely only gives out audio yet nothing working on a black screen.
They Need To Be Fed 1 - loops the first few seconds. Not playable at all. I haven't purchased part 2 yet.
I will test some more soon. This was rather unsatisfactory. Only Gunman Clive and The Impossible Game are enjoyable with the controller IMO yet maybe Beat Hazard, Death Worm, Infectonator and Osmos HD will be easier with a mouse.

I have yet to find a single game that WON'T work. I use Market Helper and then use the web installer so I don't have to sideload the APK files, and they all have worked with a mouse. You can also use droidmote to controll touch games, though I havent' done that I always have a mouse and keyboard at the ready.
They all work you just need a mouse to play the games they made for touch screen.

Has anyone tried any of the games from Nvidia Tegra Zone? I believe they are mostly for tegra 3 but should still work though the graphics might be a little lower?
I haverun games from both the play store, and nvidias own store, and they all work as intended. Even nvidias game stream worked pretty well. I was just playing Saints Row the Third, and set the game on ultimate, and it played with no noticable lag, and yes, I know it's not being run on my system, but mearly the fact that nvidia's servers will handle ultimate with no lag also. Great experience, and better in fact that it was on my PC.

It's not that they are hidden, but they don't have Android TV support. One of the biggest parts of "support" is having an icon that can display on the TV interface, so they won't show up. I suggest sideload launcher for any non supported apps.
I've been using xbmc/kodi as my launcher and am pretty happy so far.
Can you tell me how to get market helper working? I haven't had any luck getting it to work.

Give it root permissions when it asks. Pick tablet, then nexus 7, hit apply, then ga to a web browser on any machine, go to the play store on the web, and install to the nexus 7 from that. Done.

I just bought a brand new OnePlus 2 which came with Android 5.1.1. I installed the game Mortal combat x from google play store and hit the app icon to launch the game. As soon as the story video completes the game crashes. Anyone facing similar problem or having solution to this problem ?
Note: I was able to successfully play same game in my Moto-G which have android 5.0.2

Hmm... I have 1+2 for weeks and i only had problems with old version Mortal Kombat X. Let's try update Google Play Services and reinstall game (with clean install).
Probably best thing goes is to let th the devs know that game isn't working in your device and others have reported the same.
Mortal Combat X is a game with lots of faults on lots of devices. Can't really blame it on OPT. All we can do is wait for game devs to update and fix errors.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this crash on my oxygen 2.1.2.it keeps crashing after the subzero screen. i'm so desperate to play this game on my OP2. i tried downloading the older versions, tried downloading by apk downloader plugin on chrome,torrent file,adreno gpu+obb(onhax) but none worked. if anyone could help me i would be very much obliged.

I have a working apk for this game.
1. Install the game from the apk then start it and let it download sources from the google play store.
2. Start the game, complete the trailer of the game
3. Update the game from google play store to have the most recent challenges.
There is no attachment option here. Let me know your email if you need the apk.

I found a way to play Mortal Kombat X on OP2
those who are facing issue with force close of game after intro do the following,
1)download gltools app from xda link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-gltools-1-29-t2828630
2)now install gltools and reboot
3)then select MCX from app and enable>> Enable custom settings for this app
4)Now there are two workarounds,
i] Use lower render resolution >> 0.5x (after this start game once, game will start but with glitches now close the game and again change value to 1x(Disabled)) now run game it will work flawlessly.
ii] second option is to>> tick Use fake GPU info and select adreno 320 template.and start the game.
Note: one should work but if not use both tricks game will work fine.

For an app like Connectbot (as JuiceSSH), touch device is not required I think, so why is it not present in play store ?

Being a non touch device is part of it. Also some games and apps are also exclusive to certain android tvs.
Many apps including paid (provided your play account has the app license) apps can be sideloaded if you extract the apk from another Android device. Sideloaded touch apps usually need a mouse. I prefer using a Logitech k400r for sideloaded apps.
Also devs need to specifically mark the app is compatible with the forge in the play store. Another issue is the on device app browsing and search of the play store is pretty weak. You may have better luck searching and installing via a desktop browser

The device registers a touch only when you click on the touchpad/mouse.
Yeah I would love for then to step up the apps. Firetv is Android but they have more apps available
