Still Mj6 as far as I know
http://live.samsung-updates.com/index.php?device=SM-P600
The MJC build has been available for some time but thru another download site and it has the same changelist as MJ9, 17... something. But MJ6 for p605 is a fresh one, it has a changelist up on 19.... something. Started to download the HongKong version and its only 1.3Gb. And thats a big diffrence from MJ9 wich had a size of 2.2Gb. Lets see if it turns up any euro firmware shortly, as the Chinese and Hongkong firmwares usually only has mandarine languages and english. Im not entierly sure I can hold my flashing nerv for so long, lets see what happens....

I'm extracting the hong kong P605ZBMJ6 one to see what there is. It's smaller than the previous ones, so we'll see....
I don't know if it's just me, but the wake up lag seems better with the last version it also includes all the languages.
Is it still laggy ?
I cant beleive Samsung would release this product without sorting out the this issue.

well it appears they have. mine is awful, lag in every department and yes I have done all the various resets etc.
It was OK out of the box but not good and has been made worse by MJ6. my old note was much better eventually but that took a year to get right.
Lets hope the new firmware (where the ripple effect is gone and with multi user) will improve things, if not mine goes back.

Don't get why anyone complains about lag, have the MJ9 no lag at all, have live background and it is smooth as butter.
It is the quad krait core 400 version (snapdragon 800 chipset).

I complain about the lag, because it is really bad. My old note 10.1 was smoother so I guess it is a software problem.
I have it because I don't have MJ9 yet and I am not convinced by the Octacore set.
Does MJ9 add mulit user?
Anyone succesfully used de la vega on the MJ6 firmware? I made one and it came out fine in output folder but it didnt finish in Odin, it just stopped at the very end. No error or frozen program, had to pull the cable and reboot to download mode and flash my de la vega MJ9 and that went fine. But it seems my Knox counter was triggered somewhere during all this flashing. Well, if anyone has used it with de la vega and had success please post here. We need to keep track of the firmware that works with that root method.
Going to flash TWRP and flash the recovery flashable zip made from MJ6 now since my Knox counter is triggered.

Sorry guys, but I also think this new Note 10.1 (P605) is much laggier then old Note 10.1. If I would want to use TW launcher its almost unusable on the new Note, TW launcher was extremlly smooth on N8000. Im using Nova now and it makes it a hell of alots better. Theres a lot of studder in this new one but I belive that it will get better. And as a whole picture I think this new Note is a way better tablet then the first Note 10.1 and all the new software features + hardware upgrades makes it the king of the hill right now.
But as the head of Samsung said - our software is not as strong as our hardware.
I have to agree without Nova thie note 10.1 2014 is embarrissing to use.
If you compare to an IPAD where everything rungs smoothly you can see where samsung have issues.
Sorry Samsung you should test your products before release and compare it to a IPAD.

EDIT : HAD TO CHANGE THE TITLE TO SHOW 4.1.1 AS SAMMOBILE CHANGED IT TO 4.1.1 AFTER POSTING IT AS 4.1.2.
APOLOGIZE FOR THE INCONVENIENCE .
Does it include other languages? like german? and which problems will i get because of different csc when i flash this?
The previous taiwan I flashed had all languages. The only difference I found vs. the uk or the german one was the extra Taiwanese keyboard.
thanks, i think i will try it when i get home! are there any taiwanese apps which cant be deleted? other than with titanium or something like that ^^
Last time I haven't seen anything. Once it is downloaded I will also try it.
i´d love to have some impressions about this rom, please tell me about it when it´s done ^^

Yes, they changed it but still it is a different PDA and CSC. Also it is the first one that has a 2013 date.
so, by having a date of Jan 2013 makes it 4.1.2 ?.

Not every country.
Canada is still waiting as well.
Are any differences vs. the previous 4.1.1 version?
confirmation?
Anyone know if this actually 4.1.2? And working in 8010
just having a play with it (Installed with odin straight over the top of the last BTU build)
looks like exynosabuse fails to root, so this may be the first version that's been patched!
will investigate more.
EDIT:
curious
/dev/exynos-mem is still world rw
as its still set as system graphics 666 in ueventd.smd4x12.rc
so even though the dev is still left wide open, it appears whatever chainfire was doing with his root exploit doesn't work anymore.
and on further investigation it appears this kernel uses the same patch that samsung used for the S3, so there's quite a chunk of security patches in there

1. This is a 4.1.1 rom.
2. There actually was a N8013 leak a few days ago for region XAR, which is Canada & USA, or really any are using the 8013 model number. I think Darkman released a deodexed version of it maybe.
3. I just polled a few BM sites & saw that there are Nexus 10's testing JDP66 build of 4.2.2
4. I love my Note 10.1, but really am glad I received the Nexus 10 to see the latest incarnations of Android!

Samsung approaches updates differently than other OEM's. They never try to get a single device on a single most current version of s/w. Some N8000 regions are still on 4.0.4 and haven't been updated since August when the device was released. The German N8000 has received a half dozen updates. Whatever version of things like S Note or the Gallery that are current will get packaged in to a ROM released for a specific region. There were six different versions of S Note in the 4.0.4 ROMs that we discussed here. So between the N8000/10/13 and all the different ROMs Samsung deploys by region it's unlikely we'll all ever be running the same versions of different included apps like S Note and the Gallery.

It's just really annoying that we have other regions that still have the exynos issue because they haven't been updated at all while Germany gets multiple updates. It makes no sense from a support or commercial point of view.

It was packaged at a different time. The next ROM could have a newer or older version depending on when it was packaged. The signed date and release date are usually different than the packaging date.

Just updated mine HK SM-P605 and finally lazy Sammy fixed some of the issues.
- That 2 sec lag waking screen from sleep is instant now.
- Screen jitter reduced, but still noticeable and better then before when it behave like it had epilepsy .
- Multitouch fixed? Havent checked, just that all talking about 30 sec icon drop thing have been fixed.
- The tab feels snappier and faster.
Might be more been fixed and dont have time to check all.
Gonna upload to mine GDrive after finished dl the whole firmware from slow Terafile. 66% left and still over 1H left to dl. >_<

Thanks for the heads up. I just installed it and can confirmed what you stated.
The wake screen lag is definitely gone and the tablet 'feels' faster. :good:
If anyone wonders the root status after the update, yes, you need to root it again. The OTA update (~64MB) does not work on my P605 even I tricked the system status to "Official". I need to download the whole image and flash it through Odin. No need to reinstall everything though.
Thanks for supplying a decent mirror. Flashing shortly.
I think i got this update via OTA just now.
Country: Latvia (Europe)

Iam not rooted (and never have been on this device), but this OTA file is somewhere on my device and i can find it (without rooting), feel free to tell me in witch directory i should search it for and i can upload it instantly.
Edit: About update:
-Unlock lag isnt gone, but its got better, but still its noticable.
-got some bloat (Forbes app and Lilla or something)
- writing with lag is more or less gone (but still not as snapy as my note3)
Thats after minor testing, but at least for my taste no huge improvements.

CF-Autoroot... Go to the original android dev forum and look for auto-root p600. DON'T flash this cf-autoroot as it's for the exynos version and can kill your Note P605. You want the link to Chainfire's site, look up the P605 model and flash with ODIN.
This will trigger Knox...

EDIT: so far through this thread we have learned a few things.
1. The cellular south flash on sam mobile site is the XAR flash which is the original 4.3 US
2. The new update for US is 4.4.2 comes in at 540MB
Build number: KOT49H.P600UEUCND2
Kernel Version: 3.4.39-1146904 Sat, Apr 12th 2014
3. New icons throughout the KitKat update:
New multiwindow,
new notifications drop down window,
smaller notification icons,
all white notification icons,
definately more responsive,
multiwindow tab is gone but hold down back arrow and it appears,
multiwindow allows for a 2 app paired icon creation for easy open
-----------------------------EDIT APRIL 25TH 345 AM
We now have reports of fixing the COO update by using Kies or by downloading the Sam Mobile Cellular South ND2 4.4.2.
Thanks everyone for contributing to this thread!
The update is coming in at 540MB and the download is slow.
The reason I waited for this OTA update is because those that flashed the COO 4.4.2 in the US/North America region might not ever get back to the proper region without a full official flash. When I looked at the sammobile firmwares there were zero 4.3 versions with a North America region on it. So I doubt we will see our 4.4.2 full flash either.
Good Luck to those that did flash the COO region update.
my updated downloaded and is installing now. Will post back with the changes.

What is the benefit of having the US version over the COO one we are using now?
Looks like Samsung's servers are overloaded. My ota wont download. It says try at a later time

Not sure yet, only 75% downloaded.
Region COO being Colombia is not US from what I have read over the last 5 days.
If I ever have to sell or warranty the unit, I foresee an easier attempt to do either with the proper region.
Yep, noticed I'm getting it as well here in Northern VA
There was an "full flash" MK1 US update, so there will be a KitKat firmware available. Everything will be fine.

Nothing here in Canada. I hope we get it soon
I'm happy to wait a month here in UK, let you guys (US) trial and find all the bugs and annoyances so hopefully by the time it reaches the UK it will be relatively bug free..well this is what I tell myself to make me feel better at the UK always being left out haha - will be suprised to see this here anytime soon

Total file size is 549.37 MB. It is most definitely Kit Kat 4.4.2
The Samsung Sites both official and non, show ZERO Full flashes for the SM-P600 wifi only model at 4.3
That was what worried me about flashing to COO, if I cant find the original anywhere, how am I going to find the 4.4.2 full flash for U.S.
I am happy to report the update is 90% done.
If you want to see progress bar, just go into settings and general and about and software update and update now.

If you are rooted the update should be in your cache folder.
I stopped rooting when the hardware caught up and now with KNOX and no carrier warranty exchanges I left the NOTE 10.1 2014 alone

About time...
But as is is very unlikely we will receive any more updates, I think I will be moving to custom roms instead.

I just flashed the new KK Firmware (France one) and it immediately stopped, due to 'sboot.bin' (=bootloader file).
I'm downloading the UK one and I'll try again. If it'll fail again, we're stuck on the N8000 Bootloader, probably forever.

Same here...I will try the UK and Kies
Just tried the UK one.. doesn't work either. Screw you Samsung!
Just flashed it on my n8010 and I must say that it is ugly as hell. Honestly, the thing that you slide from the upper part of the screen is horrible. Not impressed by it visually so far...
How do we root this s**t?
I've flashed mu UK N8010 from the op's link and it has upgraded well. It ran like a dog for an hour or so but has settled down and is smooth now, there are lots of of changes, it's much more like a standard android phone now than a Samsung circa 2012 tablet, the notification shade has moved to the top now. Multi screen is now different and there are a lot of other changes to the email app, keyboard appearance and the colour scemes etc etc. The home, back and app manger soft keys have moved from bottom left to centre, the screen capture button is no longer there, you can screen cap using power + volume down buttons or the S pen.
After the same interface for 2 years it feels really odd using the tablet with the kitkat changes but I'm already getting used to it after a few hours and overall I think it waswort b the upgrade.

Yes thank you Eric, I already found out (after "qualche bestemmia in turco"). For other people, who like me, took sometime to root this ugly looking thing, here's the link http://download.chainfire.eu/247/CF-Root/CF-Auto-Root/CF-Auto-Root-p4notewifiww-p4notewifixx-gtn8010.zip

With that I must agree. Though they could have made a few things prettier it can't be that difficult...
