i just got my streak 2 weeks ago, so I dont need any info, I concerned about the folders/directories being missing.
New to android, experience with iPhone, I see it is very different.
Did I need permissions to delete the .apk from sdcard? it said file was -rw in astro, but when I deleted it it still was showing up.
ZOMG!

So I downloaded 4.4.2 and flashed it to my Verizon G2, messed with the camera app and deleted it.. Someone gave me a download file but when I install it it says it cannot be installed. Any help? I moved the apk to system/app and changed then permissions to match the same as the other apps in that folder.
I am able to create files, but cannot delete from my device.
I recently kdz'd back to stock 11a and let it OTA up to 39a, then rooted it and put xdabbeb's 3.0 rom on. I can create files fine, but I have tried root Explorer, builtin file manager, and solid Explorer/solid Explorer 2.0 and none of them can delete any files.
I was able to delete a picture that I took from the gallery app. Permission for the data folder looks normal, but I am also unable to change permissions on any files or folders

Hi guys, i hope you can help me. Now I'm on the Cloudy G2 3.3 and I've got QuickMemo+ backup from stock rom... It's qmemoplus.db located in data/data/com.lge.qmemoplus so I tried to put my QuickMemo+ backup file in this folder, fixed the permissions but It doesn't work... QuickMemo+ crashes and of course I tried to reput the original qmemoplus.db file but It crashes anyway...
Anyone have suggestions?
Thank you, sorry for my bad english.
i have used lg g2 for a couple of years and switched to g6 both att phones, in lg g6 it looks like we cant just copy ringtones to internal memory and then apply but go into settings and click + button and then add the coped ringtones but they are not sticking and default back to original ones and also trying to copy ringtones or other stuff via usb connection with PC i am not able to copy to rtones folder as it gets stuck and i was only able to add to downloads folder. another issue was after installing lg bridge on PC and i was able to see rtones folder but after a sync it disappeared and it appears there is some kind of write protection which the G2 did not have, any recomendations.
Not having this issue. Maybe it's something in the permissions you gave(or not)?
Try to create a folder mnt/sdcard/media/audio/ringtones
This is the path on my H870.
thank you and i have tried but there was a media folder but it has whattsapp stuff and i created subfolder as advised and its still not sticking, i am not rooted so i might have to do a factory reset i think.
Did a factory reset and its working now but the strange part is if u copy any rtones make sure its only .ogg format and make sure to create new folders on downloads as it does not seem to recognise them elsewhere, lg bridge seems to be glitch at least for me.
