Does anyone else have a slow keyboard response pop up after tapping into a text field? I find I have stutter sometimes, slows down the system a lot.
I swear that my Note 2 was quicker in some respects...

Please don't ask these questions in the Sprint Android Development forum. These should be in the General forum. Can we have a Mod move this thread to the appropriate forum.
The reason I ask here is because I know people can't change the temp control on the Sprint version.
I've changed the governor to on-demand and it's no help (helped with scrolling), and this is specific to our unit.
To be honest, I'm used to all variants having their own forums for everything. Not just development... we are a small crowd here and being buried in the forums.
But, have it moved... cause I can see how it's cluttering this forum.

I understand its a concern and it can be answered but this forum is not the right one to do this in. The Development forum should only be used to post ROMs or mods for that specific device to keep it as simple as possible as a one stop shop. Any anomalies you experience should be posted in the Q&A or General forum.
Report it

Does anyone else believe that this forum is getting a bit overpopulated with topics and ROMs etc, due to the popularity of this phone?
I know it would mess up the general format of the Xda forums - but within this forum itself, I would love to have some more sub-forums for Kernels, ROMs etc.
This would tidy the forum up a bit and may require some topics already existing to be moved, but overall I believe it would have it easier to find what you want, and prevent the hard work of the developers to be eight pages on getting very few views
Thanks for reading this and I hope some people agree.
We also need a "Questions asked in development" section.
True, but since the topic involves this forum.. I thought it best to post it here...

Not so true, development is for development only. Hence the name. If you have anything other then development it should be in general, unless it's a question which should be in Q&A...
i would suggest a topic concerning kernels only.
in most cases you can run several kernels with one or all pda versions.
I would say yes...

Just wanted to post a general thanks to this entire forum and all of the users here. I'm only about 12 hours into flashing/ rooting...all that good stuff, and understand I am a hardcore noob at this. I finally just got around to getting my evo set up to run CM7, and through all the hard work that everyone has done, I am able to access everything I could on my stock rom and SOOOO much more through CM7. I feel like I have a brand new phone again. Thanks to everyone for paving the way for me. Hopefully I will become experienced enough to make some substantial contributions to this forum as I become more experienced. But everything is working great....Thanks to so many people's hard work!
Thanks everyone!.
BTW.. does anyone know of an app to clock data speeds such as: wifi/ wifi tether/ 3g, 4g/ GPS
i dont want to blast you because your thanking everyone, but those kinds of posts, like number 1 belong in the comments section or a PM to whoever has helped you and the second post you made belongs in the Q and A section, nevertheless...http://tinyurl.com/3ucq99t

Thought it might be kind of cool to post your SwiftKey X stats page here to compare to others and such. And feel free to make update post in an effort to see how much you type a week or whatever. And mention on your first post how long you have been using the keyboard.
Mine are low as I just reset my stats earlier today hah.

Edit: post any keyboard with stats!
7775 characters,
2762 characters saved,
"35%" more efficient (although I think it saves you less cause of all the times it messes you up)
Seems better overall than slide it /swype though I'm not sure yet.

Btw how did you take the screen shot? All I can find is complicated methods that involve rooting.
I did it with miui, it's built in. I think you would have to be rooted though anyway you went about it.
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using Tapatalk
there are no-root-required screenshot methods.
Edited op to include any keyboard with stats. Didn't want to alienate anyone

Thread reopened and moved to general upon request.
Thanks
Don't know how or why I ended up putting this in the dev thread, had every intention of putting it in general hah. oops!
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using Tapatalk
Not bad for a few days typing. Efficiency remains the same however. Anyone know exactly what 'more efficient ' means?

I just saw a cool rom called Provision in the nexus s section. What was really cool was the notification bar and such. If anybody could put those into the paranoidandroid rom, that would be a complete beast of a rom. I'd give it a try myself but any dev that could do this or give me some help doing this it would be nice. I wan't something worth switching with sense every now and then. Yes, sense is horrible memory hog, but it's a sexy memory hog.
I think you are in the wrong section buddy

Here you go people. Tell them how it is. Especially for those of us that are locked down and out by our carriers. Tell them to start standing up for us, the good guys.

Good for them if they do. Why back down from an idiot because they might do something? We can always find ways to bombard them with a fire storm of emails, calls and whatever we can. So, on that note. Pun intended. Start the fire storm. ?

Why yes, yes, some body should create an app. But, it will not be this guy. As I have not ever created one.
