I wanted to go to stock firmware and i downloaded the official mja stock firmware. I was on sacs 4.3 v4 . Went through odin , put the phone in download mode and flashed the stock firmware. Everything went fine booted normally passed the galaxy s4 logo , the samsung logo and after i got to the yellow sprint logo i got stuck there. I left phone for more than 15 minutes nothing happened. After that i removed battery left the phone for 5 minutes and booted back again and now it wont even pass galaxy s4 logo. It reboots immediently. Now phone goes ONLY in download mode. I can not get into recovery but i can flash things through odin. Even custom recoveries. BUT I CANT ACCESS THEM through the traditional method(Hardware buttons) . Adb doesnt show my device serial number so i can put it into recovery from there. Any help please ?

My dude. I CANT ACCESS ANY KIND OF RECOVERY. I can flash through odin but recovery is a no no for me. I wish i could access recovery , then it would be an hour job to get it started.
using the traditional method power button + volum up + the middle button wont get me into recovery.
OK. Can u get into download mode?
Edit: you can get into download mode so you should be able to download the original MJA update.

Yeap. I can access download mode flash custom recoveries or stock mja(official) but after that everything is messed up. I flashed stock mja (was on sacs 4.3 v4) it goes up to yellow sprint boot animation and reboots by itself and after that it wont even go through S4 boot logo PLUS wont let me go into recovery.
For the record cfauto root wont do the trick
I had the same issue all i did was flash OUDHS recovery using odin but did a battery pull b4 it could reboot after flashing took 3 attempts. then was able to get into recovery using vol up home and power keys

Try pulling the battery, then powering on the phone. When the phone starts to power up just hold the volume up until you see the little blue letters in the top left hand corner. This works for me instead of the 3 button sequence.
Odin flash a new recovery or the same recovery again.

Hi,
I have been searching for a while with no solution for this problem:
I have a I9505 Lte phone.
It's rooted and it works fine.
I also installed a custom recovery CWM. And at first it worked fine.
The problem was I could no longer get official updates OTA, then someone told me I I should try Triangle Away so I could reset the device and the OTA updates would be working again.
Triangle away reboots the phone the thing is after that reeboot I could no longer access CWM Recovery like I used to. The message: "Recovery Booting"... shows up in blue in the left upper corner of the screen and the phone turns on normally (with root), but no CWM menu shows up, ever. (No metter what buttons I keep pressed).
Can anyone help get my recovery menu back even if it is a stock recovery?
Thank You!

Turn off your Phone and wait atleast 10 sec then Hold and press Power+Volup in order to reach recovery once you see the "Recovery Booting" on top of your screen, let go both of your fingers and that should boot you into recovery . If still doenst work reflash the custom recovery such as Philz/Trwp or what recovery do you prefer and do it once again Have a nice day.
I had an AOKP rom on my sph-l720 and was working properly. Then I tried to install this stock rom - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2486134
Somewhere around the time i was flashing the rom from within mobile odin, my phone stopped booting.
Now on boot i see the Samsung s4 logo screen then phone turns off. If I try to boot into recovery, i see the blue writing "Recovery Booting..." but then phone turns off again.
Can someone help me atleast get back to recovery so I can try flashing another rom and get my phone running properly again.
I can get into download mode and have tried flashing TWRP a few times with odin which says it PASSED then phone restarts and turns off again.
Anyone have any advice for me?
Thanks!
Personally, I think I would go into download mode and odin back to stock. Then if you want you can reroot and flash another recovery. Here is a link to really good post that probably has everything you need. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2303917
Hi,
I have a N4 that was new but the screen cracked on it and eventually the battery died as well (wouldent hold a charge). I got the battery and screen replaced but as soon as this happened I could not boot into any rom. I had twrp installed but everytime I tried to install a rom such as CM it would install but would stay stuck in the boot loader. I then used NRT to try and kick it out of bootloader and I tried several different stock firmwares, 5.01, 4.4.4, and 4.2. The only rom that was able to get past the boot animation was 4.2 it went to the welcome screen to choose a language but I could not select anything via touch screen. In that screen I could lower and raise the volume via the rockers and turn the screen on and off. I had twrp installed and the touchscreen worked fine in twrp. I also tried this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-4/general/tutorial-how-to-unbrick-n4-t2347060 and it also let me get into the developer firmware but of course it is encrypted so I could do nothing. The phone has not had contact with water etc. Do I have any other options? Can I get some type of diagnostic such as logcat or something?
Thanks!
I was running MF9 bootloader and stock rooted rom, with Philz recovery. Phone was working OK except for a weird thing with SMS's not registering on the phone. The phone spontaneously rebooted, but now it will only show the white Samsung logo on the black background before it powers back down. It doesn't make it to the yellow Sprint screen. To get it to restart, I have to pull the battery.
I have been able to get it into download mode by holding power and the down button. I can see the phone with Odin.
Next step? Flash recovery with Odin? Try flashing bootloader with Odin?
Thanks for any advice.
Hi everyone,
I am having a bit of a problem with my s4-i9505. A few weeks ago I upgraded to Android 5.0.1 manually (using Odin) and all seemed to work like a charm. I also rooted it to. So far so good
Last week an OTA was pushed and I mistakenly clicked okay. Suddenly the battery drain was insane. I read up on it and one of the solutions was to clear the cache. I powered down my s4, pressed the Volume Up + Home + Power button and for an instant I saw in small blue letters in the upper left corner: Recovery mode and underneath it the Samsung logo. Then the screen went black and booted normally.
Since then I've tried
using apps that make the S4 boot into recovery
reflashed the stock 5.0.1 firmware
reflashed an older version (4.4.2) causing a bootloop
reflashed the stock 5.0.1 firmware (solving the bootloop)
Flashing CWM recovery using ODIN.
Still only the text Recovery mode shows up, before rebooting and booting up normally.
Does anyone have a solution to my conundrum?
I managed to fix it myself eventually. I did a factory reset from within Android settings. And now i can get back into recovery mode.
