So after I flashed the update everything was fine and preformed great until last night when I unplugged. I woke up this morning and had 60% battery. The most battery used was Android os. And I don't know why. Here is the screen shot. Any help would be nice because the battery just plummeted over the last few days.

A lot of times a simple reboot would fix the issue. If not, try to clear /cache partition in recovery.
It also can be a rogue app that you installed/configured to constantly hold wake locks for alarms through the Android OS.
To really narrow it down, try a 3rd party app such as Wakelock Detector to see what's waking the device/holding a wakelock through the night

Uninstall all your apps.
Then install them one at a time till you figure out which is eating the power
Check out these apps:

I use CPU Spy, Spare Parts, and BetterBatteryStats to track down apps using too much battery. CPU Spy and Spare Parts are free in the market. BetterBatteryStats I believe is a paid app, however the developer offers it for free to xda members, just search for it. If you like it though, I recommend a donation to the developer.
Install all three of these, charge your phone completely, unplug it and leave it alone for a couple hours. Check CPU Spy to see how long your phone has been in deep sleep mode. Keep in mind that according to CPU Spy, your phone is not in deep sleep mode while it is charging. I find that mind spends probably 75-80% (at least) of its off time in deep sleep mode. If yours is substantially less, you can check battery history in Spare Parts (choose partial wake locks and since unplugged as options) to see what is using the most. Mine always shows Android System as the top user with Tasker, Facebook, and UID 10014 (Turned out to be Calendar Sync) being the next three in no particular order. BetterBatteryStats will give you and even greater breakdown, letting you know what the things in Android System actually are.
If your phone is spending the majority of its time in deep sleep and Android System is the biggest user, maybe your battery is going bad. It's known to happen.
You can also search the forum for ways to 'calibrate' your battery. This doesn't do anything to your battery to improve its performance, it simply gets Android in sync with the real capacity of your battery. My way, which isn't necessarily the best, is to:
fully charge the battery to 100%,
unplug it,
turn it off,
plug it back in until the screen shows 100% (which is usually immediately),
unplug it,
turn it back on and let it boot,
shut it down,
plug it back in until 100%(again, usually immediately),
then unplug it,
boot into streakmod,
choose advanced,
delete battery stats,
then reboot.
YMMV, good luck!
What kind of battery life are you getting with your streak? I haven't used any app to calibrate my battery but I can get 2 days on it with lite web surfing on wifi.

I get about 24 hours of normal use, however if I use it heavy its much less, like 16 hours. Last night was moderate usage: off the charger at 6pm and at 8am it had 40% left. I work nights.
Hi folks....m using galaxy note...it's not rooted...the battery doesn't last long enough as it is claimed... is it something wrong with my phone or is this what they mean by long battery life... i text alot and during texting and playing gamea my phone gets warmed up and the battery lasts less than 3hours if i continue texting...my kernel version is [email protected]#2.....please help....

It sound like you have a faulty battery if it only lasts three hours, I think you would have to be gaming to flatten a good battery in that time.
John.
Mine is the same. If I'm browsing the web, using instagram, Facebook and receiving email my battery will go from full to empt in easily 3 to 4 hours.
Backup, factory reset, reinstall apps from market (try to install only the ones you use a lot at first), restore the data you need. If you're still seeing the same things happening, install a battery logger / system logger. Use this guide to see if there's a rogue app that's causing the trouble: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=937080
If it's still acting up and you cannot identify any unusual drain, I'd ask for a replacement.
After you get things sorted, you can use apps like Juice Defender from the Market to prolong your battery life even more.

thanks guys for the sincere contribution.... i hope your advices help me...
my top battery consuming activities are:
temple run
google play
msging
go launcher
and nothing else
gaming and browsing certainly make the battery drain almost visibly..
things above and beyond the above to try include..
1. reduce screen brightness
2. reduce frequency of or disable background updates by apps
3. no vibrate notifications
4. work more, play less!..lol
the battery life of the Note is great, unless you use it .. a battery monitor will allow you to see the battery drain over time..this will help when you address item #2 above.. if you accept default refresh times, and have lots of social apps your battery can die in 6-7 hrs without even using the Note at all!..
I really love when people give the tip to not use your phone as a battery saving tip

some hints for better battery life
Got mine the other day. First charge battery was fine. Second charge went down 7% in about 5-10 mins. Then it restarted :/ Came back on, down to 88%. Turned the phone off as was frustrating me as it restarted 3 times yesterday. But when I turned it back on I was at 83%?
Hasn't last me the day, it's on charge now. When it pops up telling me to charge it tells me to shut all apps and that using while charging may effect it charging. Is this correct? I didn't think it would have anything to do with it?
3 to the 4 hours continuous use is normal... Only if your phone is standby and then depletes in that time You should be worried. I recommend researching wakelocks in that case.
There are many variables that can atribute to batterylife depletion. Eliminate those first and you will have your answer.
I had best results on stunner version 19. To bad it has the death kernel (leaked ics)

I am facing a similar issue, facing a massive wakelock by PowerManagerService. It keeps the phone awake all the time?
Any suggestions?

Usually that wakelock is there cause you are charging, or have USB plugged in

Had the note for 2 days. It came with LA4 FW and updated via Samsung Apps for the latest FW.
Battery drain, that was none on LA4 became very strong!
Installed Better Battery Stats and discovered that the CPU was always running.
Factory reset solved it...

it was fine for the first week or two, but lately the nexus has been draining like crazy. a fully recharged at 10am it's down to 60% by 14:20, in 4hours
what i mean by fine is then i could use it for the whole day checking stock, news, etc. can't do the same now.
it's the same even back in factory condition, i only have the battery stats app running and it shows 4000-4100mah when it is 100%
most of the apps i use to run are flipboard, netdania(great app btw), feedly, bloomberg.
i do have GPS wifi and 3G on, router is of close proximity without wall.
I am also feeling the same issue in 3G Nexus 7
Nexus 7 Battery Drain
Recently, I have been plagued with a terrible battery drain on my Nexus 7. I was getting very frustrated as I would have a fully charged battery at 8:00 at night, but by morning, it would be down to around 14%. Since installing the update, 4.2 I have had a little square in the upper left corner for the lock screen widges and my N7 was staying quite warm even in sleep mode. I researched this extensively and found other N7 users with similar to the same issues. One user wrote that this new feature was the problem and suggested downloading the lockscreen app from the Google Play Store. With this app you can turn the lock screen widgets on and off. I downloaded the app a couple of days ago and I have noticed a significant difference in the battery usage. I am not afraid of my N7 not turning on because of no battery.
Which lock screen app did you download, cause there's a crap ton of them

"keep wifi on during sleep" option consumes too much power.

my problems with high battery drain where solved by switching the mobile network select to manual.
Hey,guys! I'm having some problems with my g2 lately. For two weeks now I have been having severe battery drain. When I open the battery menu it says that android system is using 25%,sometimes drops to 22%,sometimes goes up to 30%. The screen usage varies. I don't know what to do. I can barely get 3 hours screen time, most of the time i get 2 hours. Last night I left my phone at 12AM and I had 40% battery. Haven't been using it till I woke up and when I woke up the battery was dropped at 16%. That is just extreme! Any advice?
Turn off locations.
Long press power off and reboot to safe mode for a couple of hours. If bad battery continues just perform factory or hard reset and it will be fine. If battery life is good in safe mode then some app is eating your juice (no pun intended).

Android system draining 30% is not too abnormal if you're stock If you need any help post in the threads =)

Hope you wiped cache .
Install clean master feom plan and let it scan. Follow suggestion promted also install grenify app (requires root) and hibenate the app which runs constantly. For this check app running section in settings. A
You can also have titanium backup to feeeze apps which you do not use and see them running to save some juice

I've been having some massive battery issues the past week, with a full charge going dead after only 8 or so hours of medium to low usage. I thought it was maybe the battery, so I bought a new one, but it's still doing it. GSAM shows "Android System" taking up the most battery by far (close to 28%), but I have no idea how to narrow that down to specifics. And after I updated the last OTA, I lost root, so Wakelock Detector isn't working anymore. What's the best way to figure out what's causing this? It's super annoying.
Hey again I posted in another topic of yours I would use any app I could I've used battery doctor that monitors apps. Deep sleep battery saver. Seems like your phones awake all the time. Maybe even battery monitor widget.
