Hi all,
Had TWRP installed and was testing out ACIP ROM. Nothing wrong with his ROM, but I accidentally flashed a camera and taskbar mod. Got stuck in a boot loop.
Now, I can't get TWRP to load, all I can get is the "Factory hard reset" screen, which I believe is a big no no if you don't have factory installed.
Please help. Please....
PS by "boot loop", I mean the ACIP load screen just sits there forever until I do vol down + pwr buttons.
Well, flashed back to stock. Booo

[Guide] Unroot/Unbrick - flash official factory firmware with LG Launcher
Skrivet på min G2 med abnormala superkrafter dikterat från Gargamels sanna ord.
As I am apparently too late to help here, I'll post this for future reference.
With a custom recovery installed, the factory reset screen still shows up, but when you press the power button twice to confirm factory reset it simply boots you into the custom recovery... no factory reset occurs.

Hello
I'm here to discuss about the unlocking of my new LG Optimus L5. I'll start saying that it come oot with Android 4.1.2 and the LG mod v20b.
I wanted to delete all the LG stuffs that slow the phone so i decided to root+unlock bootloader+install CWR+flash CM10 and Gapps.
I started following this page and tried all the root methods; only the one using a modified kdz worked.
After that i tried to unlock the bootloader, succeeding only after a day of tries. The problem was the Superuser app (it won't allow the ADB shell to edit the bootloader information even if it was allowed. I don't know why ), so i installed superSU and all went right.
After that i installed ROMmanager, which allowed me to flash the CWR, but i was able to enter it only if the USB cable was disconnected (again i don't know why ).
Inside the CWR i wiped bot caches, i did factory reset and flashed CM10+ Gapps; unfortunately i installed the wrong Gapps, denying me the Camera app, and few more little bugs...
So i decided to flash the righ one (gapps-jb-20121011-signed), but after that, all google services was crashing, so i decide to factory reset all and reinstalla CM+Gapps (the righ one this time)
The fate decided to curse me, sending the phone in bootloop after the flashing.
Hopeless, i tryed to flash again the modded firmware with the kdz flasher to retore the phone at the first passage, but it remained in bootloop (this time with the LG logo, not with the Cyanogen one).
I'm now trying to restore the original kdz (the v20d not modded) hoping for some miracle.
Someone have a hint to help me? The only thing i know now is that i can put the phone in download/emergency mode or remain in bootloop.
As far as i know the only way to enter the recovery is from SU binaryes in this f***ing phone, so no key combination to enter in it at startup.
Try to hard reset phone.GYF(google it for informations).

I'm trying the keys combinations, but nothing... I may pressing the wrong ones
Switched off the phone, press and hold the Volume down key + Power key with your left hand.
When the LED on the bottom of the phone lights up, touch and hold the Menu key with your right hand. You need to do this immediately, before the screen displays the LG logo. Make sure your left hand is still holding the Volume down and Power keys. Then release the power key when the phone begins to vibrate.
When the LG logo is displayed on the screen, continue to hold the keys for around two seconds, and then release all them at the same time, before the LG logo disappears.

EDIT:
This one actually made me do an hard reset: Home+vol- +power on press all these 3 keys till it vibrates than release power on key and after a fev secs appears the android reset screen

PLEASE help, I'm panicking right now. I have had my LG G2 phone rooted for a while but recently I decided to flash http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2481196 as my custom rom. I've never done this before and I thought I got through the adb stuff and loki...etc. I was in TWRP and told it to install Buckeye V3.zip and when it finished, it said successful (I did note that it said "unable to mount /system") but I clicked reboot and now it just shows the LG screen and it stays there! I get a blue & green flashing notification light at the same time. I am trying to hold power and up buttons... power and down buttons...etc and nothing is happening other than restarting and going back to the LG screen!
Please help!
Press and hold power button for sometime. Ur phone will turn off and will restart automatically. While restarting press volume down button and power key so that it will boot to recovery.

OMG ok I just got back into TWRP and now I'm afraid to reboot again. What can I do now that i'm in??? Should I try installing Buckeye again or choose wipe? No idea what to do next to get out of this situation.
If u have any other custom rom in ur phone, u Can flash it. Or u can side load a custom rom via adb or u can boot to download mode and flash stock rom if u have the necessary files

Just make sure the Rom you're flashing matches the model of your G2.

I tried installing a custom ROM (OpTimuS DE). I reached step 4, however, after I rebooted, the the phone opens than shows a box titled (Android is Upgrading) followed by Starting app. This screen is shown shortly and the phone resets. It continues to do this.
I used CWM.

yes, flashing stock kdz brings stock recovery back.
The new combination is, hold power + volume down until you see the lg logo, release shortly, then hold volume up and volume down(this will perform a factory reset).
Try connecting to a pc, turn on debuging mode. Download adb, type adb reboot recovery
or terminal emulator from play store --also reboot recovery
Hi thanks for the help the new combination is still not working do i have to get the timing perfect or what?
Well. Is it the new 20b and 20d? Power off the phone. Hold vol down and power until the lg logo, release just for a short moment and then hold just volume up and volume down.

Again thankyou so much for your help i really appreciate it.:good:
One last question how do i wipe dalvik cache without root and custom recovery?

You can't. You can do a factory reset from settings or manually per APP clear caches.

So far so good. Backup not needed.
ROOT still shows up in download mode
I followed the very same procedure to return my phone to stock firmware, but when i enter download mode, it still shows up as "ROOT" in red in the bottom. And i'm unable to enter stock recovery or even the hard reset menu(the one where power button needs to be pressed thrice to reset).
PLEASE HELP ! I hope there is nothing seriously wrong with the device:crying:
I wonder if anyone can help me here, i have successfully returned to stock following this guide but have a big problem. I cannot get into recovery at all to do the factory reset. My phone boots but an error message pops up saying system.ui not responding and it does not go away, it needs to be factory reset but i cannot get into recovery. Is there a way to flash the stock image and reset the phone via R&D tools? or is there any other way to reset? any help would be appreciated.
What Rom did you flash because on some Roms to factory reset you have to be fully powered off and then hold volume down+power when LG logo shows up hold power button+volume down while for others you have to hold volume up+down after LG logo
