Just picked up an imate JAMin and i'm loving it!
I've noticed however, that it is creating massive log files, the first will get to 3mb, then it will index and get another one going to 3mb and so on.
Error reporting is disabled and I can't find anywhere else that has an option for debugging.
Searched through the forums as well, so apologies if this is a simple answer.
The file it creates is DbgToStorageLogX.txt where X is a number.

Where exactly do these files reside?
I looked for them on my Jamin with the latest i-mate ROM, but did not find them anywhere. It's been a month since I hard reset the thing.
Maybe you got a debug ROM version by mistake?
They are sitting in the root directory "\"
Other than the large files - it's also logging gprs (called gprs_debug) and BG_debug - which is backgammon bug log.
So - somewhere there must be a toggle that is causing it to log these files.

I've done some searching but I did not find a solution for my problem.
I'm really exited about the Yota Contacts and dialer. I tried to install it (wvga version with dialer), after installing sdkcerts, did a soft reset but nothing worked.
My x1 slowed down, The panelmenu wouldn't open anymore and if I tried to use the dialer the wait cursor showed up, going on forever.
After uninstalling everything still worked.
Some questions:
How can i fix this problem tot get Yota and the dialer to work?
- Am i using the right version? There are numerous versions out there, maybe i installed the wrong one? (wvga with dialer, i think version 1.1)

I use WLM 10.6.0053.1000 and somehow my emoticon screen going weird like in the screenshot... I reinstalled, redownloaded from live site but seems like the emoticon won't show up for unknown reason.
I tried to check if there is any missing files but all files are OK.
Registry check also OK.
I'm using WM6.1 official v1.77 i-Mate 9502.
Please help me how to restore those emoticons....

Seems like the files are missing. Where did you install it, on the device, flashdisk or storagecard? I'd browse for the files first and see if I could find them.

Yesterday I reinstalled the WLM (downloaded from live site http://mobile.microsoft.com/live/en-us/mobile/default.mspx).
For installation, it didn't give any option, it's all automated and installed in the device (precisely in the Windows folder).
But FYI, I checked the installation using SKTools and Pocket Mechanic, the installation is OK..
No files missing and registry are intact. Maybe other files (the system files) are missing? or some registry keys are missing?

Seems strange... I checked all the system files in Windows folder, none missing/replaced by files with same name...
Maybe the registry?

Do I need to upload the latest WLM from Microsoft's site?

And I think, it might be something from registry's missing (maybe something in HKEY_Classes_Root)....
If I do HardReset, all is solved, but it's pain for me to reinstall all apps and do re-setting all things inside... >,<
Sorry I need the 10.6.0053.1000 cab before I can help you. It`s not on the windows side. Please upload it here. This was the first cab that you install or was in the rom and I must test it. No cab - Sorry no help.
Wait, I must search the cab file first. Because I already overwrite it with new one.
And the old one that came with my ROM is v10.6.0034.0800.
The v10.6.0053.1000 I downloaded it from Microsoft's site also. And I will try to recover that installation file from my harddisk.
I've been getting an error when clicking menu on the home page only, an error has occurred with manila.exe. After doing a hard reset and reinstalling all my tweaks I've found the problem and it's 20 quick links that's causing it. Any ideas on how to sort it out?
Anyone else not had this problem then or can you recommend another one to try? The one I tried I downloaded from this site.
When i tried to install the 20quicklinks from the sticky thread.. i just got a small black box on my clock. nothing else on the screen.. can anyone sort out these problems? i'm using Tom's latest Rom.

Ive got a problem - i tried installing a wallpaper with hdwalls, and it crashed the device while hdwalls was installing it, and i had to drop the battery. Now i cant uninstall or reinstall any walls at all, it just keeps giving me errors! Help anyone???? Please dont say hard reset! Just a list of files/registry entries to delete would be nice!
EDIT: Ok sorted it! used a bit of initiative and it paid off! I looked for hd wallpaper in the registry, and found a mention in HKLM\software\appmgr\hd wallpaper of an uninstall file, E6B7.tmp i believe it was. So in file manager i navigated to there, and found a bunch of tmp files. So i went back to the registry and changed that uninstall file to one of the others. It worked! It errored onthe uninstall, but i was then able to install a new one.
Tip of the day: Don't bother downloading people's hdwall cabs, get the wallpaper and cab your own up with the correct settings for your device, it's less hassle!!
