Nexus 5 KitKat launcher works on the One with JellyBean - One (M7) General

I've just read this article:-
http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2013...piciously-receives-support-for-other-devices/
And tried it - it works for us quite nicely.
All you need is the latest google search update from play store, then side load com.google.android-launcher-0.9.6.886092.apk and you have it, the new google now integrated, voice enabled launcher.

Thread closed,
There are threads in the themes and apps section were you can download the kitkat launcher

Install Google Now Launcher on AT&T version of Galaxy S5

Hi.. I am looking to install google now launcher on my AT&T Galaxy S5.. I was just wondering will there any issues with using the launcher and Google Now.. I am big fan of them both. Also when Google updates either of these, will i be able to update in Play Store?? I am asking this because I am side loading the launcher. Response is appreciated.
I tried to but can't, maybe change to Nexus 5 in build.prop.
For now you will have to side load any update to that app until Google makes it available for non nexus devices. As you probably already know sideloading works perfectly fine

[Q] Google now launcher for LG G2

Guys I'm looking for a Google now launcher for LG G2 which works with Google search version 3.5. The apk installs but on launching the app says Google search needs to be updated. Anyone know where I can get the apk which works with Google search 3.5?
The ok google function stopped working on the earlier version I had installed and I tried to Uninstall and reinstall but the apks I have found so far don't seem to work with Google search 3.5.
Alternately can anyone suggest what I need to do to get the ok google everywhere functionality to work with stock LG launcher? Currently it doesn't work even after launching google now. I have language set to US English and the keyword detection is turned on.

This is how I did it. Worked great.
Which version of Google search are you using?
Does OK Google work from any of your home screens?
Have you tried on Google everywhere? Which means you van launch it by saying OK Google even from within apps?

How to find your missing apps

Many people want to add some apps to their Nexus Player before that app has officially been released for Android TV. To accomplish this, you can either install the app via the Play Store in your web browser or you can sideload the app. The problem is that on the Nexus Player, you can't see these apps that aren't optimized for Android TV! But don't worry, there are a couple of work arounds:
BEST OPTION: Use chainfire's Sideload Launcher app (See this article for details: http://www.androidpolice.com/2014/1...ndroid-tv-users-easily-start-sideloaded-apps/)
You can install a custom launcher like Go Launcher, Nova Launcher, etc.
You can find/open all apps here: Settings --> Apps (you'll probably be able to find your app in "Downladed Apps")

[Q] Google Maps updating despite settings

I prefer an older version of the Google Maps app. In order to prevent an update, I've gone into the Play store and set for no automatic updates. And yet Maps keeps presenting me with the latest version when I open the app. It happens daily. I'm running android 4.4.2 on a Galaxy s5 G900a. It's rooted and running the Dynamic Kat ROM. Baseband is g900aucu1ance. This has got me scratching my head--my other apps don't seem to be self-updating. I've posted this in the Dynamic Kat thread, but I just can't see that flashing DK could have caused this, since no other apps are doing it.
I used to prefer the old maps too..but now use google maps and another one called My maps..also a google app..basically its the spin off of the maps feature of all your maps you have made online.. Its actually nice once you get the hang of it..but that was the main reason for me to stick with older versions..but now..b
No need..
I'm trying Nokia Here. This Google maps auto update thing is really making me angry.

Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) - Google Now/Pixel Launcher Side-panel Problem

Hello.
I have a Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) and I use the Google Now Launcher. I rely on having the google app to the left of the main home screen for notifications about traffic, weather and news. I like having it there a lot. Today I noticed that it was no longer accessible from there.
I looked this up and it sounds like Google plan to discontinue the Google Now Launcher and replace it with the "Pixel Launcher". But naturally, my device is not supported by this new app.
I downloaded and installed this, and it seems like the Pixel Launcher (or something similar to it, nearly identical) works on my device now. It was very convenient to have because I do not want to Root my phone.
At first the side-panel Google app worked with this (bootleg?) Pixel Launcher, but after I was done customizing my home screens it stopped working. I checked all the options like "Google app to the left of main screen" and such things, and they didn't change anything. It only started working again when I re-booted the phone.
My question is: what made it stop? Can I still get the Google side-panel to open on the original Now launcher (with which I am more used)? I like the Pixel launcher but I prefer to use officially-supported apps so I can get updates for them, and I don't believe the one I downloaded (from the link above) will get any updates.
Any help would be appreciated.
Just downgrade to the old Google Now Launcher
