Want other music players and lauchers than stock. (Both sucks from samsung)
Please everybody share which ones u like and why so i can try out many of them and find my favourite.

poweramp is the nuts
go launcher is easy to use
Apex or Nova. Fast, clean, very little memory hog.
N7player or Playerpro. Good sound, simple, plenty of options.
Personally I use Apex and N7player.

I just want to know if I change the launcher to for example Nova Launcher, will I loose all fonctionnality of the note like the QuickPanel, Multiview etc?

No you won't.
So I'll still be able to use everything?
Yes you will, just no pagebuddy like on the tw launcher

as written in different threads, you don't loose and S-Pen functionality if you move from standard launcher to any other.
None. I use Nova Launcher. You only lose the features if you root and install another ROM that doesn't have the Samsung apps/features.

Same thing everything works same with or without stock Launcher as long as you remain unrooted.

If we root but keep the stock ROM, will everything still work as well? I don't really need a custom ROM but need to use Titanium Backup to copy my Smurfs game over to my new phone. I spent almost two years playing Smurfs and I'm really far on it.

Try Helium instead of TB, it's non-root.

Idk depends on who created the stock ROM and what system files/apps are left intact.

Most of samsung widgets does not work in other launchers. So S planner widgets also wont be working.

If you have taken back up of smurf game app folder under internal sdcard/android/ data+obb folders from your previous Android device you can copy it to your new device. It should work from your last status until unless the newly installed smurf creates new folder structure.

With Nova, can you still use the gestures to reduce the screen size for one-handed operation? I could not seem to do that.
Had my Note 4 for a week now & have been using Nova all the time & wondered what are you using Stock Or 3rd party?

May be because i think it clear and app drawer can easily edited

You can enable ART and run Nova Launcher and it'll be smoother.
Very limited customization with touchwiz, so I am using Nova Launcher.
The only thing I missed is the S Calendar widget
Nova.
Dont miss anything in TW. Used TW only a day or too. Dont like the look and the controls.

Ya I was using NOVA with ART but it would suddenly kept crashing and redrawing for me. So I went back to TW its super smooth and no hiccups.

Android apps are installed in raw format. Dalvik engine has to cook app every time we run it. ART (Android RunTime) on the other hand bakes app permanently, henceforth they run faster.
I use the Google Now launcher. Simple, but since I use Google Now quite a bit, i just prefer it.
As we've noticed that onyx is pretty stock and lacks many useful apps..
I've been using
PIKTURES app for gallery
Camera MX app for camera etc.
What's a good music player other than Google's?

Yeah that's it, forgot the name
Okk .. I pulled the apk from a rom and simply installed it.. It works but headphones buttons don't work on it.. No next no pause.. When I click headphones buttons it simply stops playback in eleven and runs Google Play Music
Been using QuickPic as my gallery and for the music player i use Shuttle. Its the best according to me and that black theme looks pretty awesome.

Quickpic being owned by that cheetah mobile now.. Don't use it.. it has been found malicious.. Try PIKTURES

Regarding QuickPic. There is also an older version which is not linked to the PlayStore and does not update to the new version:

Yah.. MX is king.. BTW try shuttle music player it's good.. AND black theme saves battery too..

Never liked PowerAmp because it somehow changes the real effects of music.. Like over bass etc etc.

I'll just settle with picktures as it reminds me of the album app from my Xperia SP which i owned previously.

1. Ad away from f droid
2. Cerberus premium anti theft
3. Cyanogen gallery
4. Audio profiles (hate the priority system)
5. Root browser and quick edit.
6. Greenify and betterbattery stats.
7. I have disabled chrome and I am using the ultimate browser from XDA.
8. Tube mate. I have disabled YouTube.

No you can't.
The best you can do is install Nova Launcher if you really want your phone to look like it's using iOS.
