Gallery app

Is there any way of hiding some pictures in the gallery app? I've got a bunch of pictures that's not supposed to be in there like album art of mp3s... I hope there's a way to hide 'em.

Download Quickpic from the market its free & much better than the stock one! It can do what you are wanting to do, plus more :0) hope this helps

There are a few apps in market that will do it... one that I can think of off top of my head is vaulty free.

Pandora is another app that allows you to set up a password protected private directory for those images you do not want to be seen.

I've been using QuickPic from day 2 and I never know off its ability hiding any pic.

Hey, i'm not sure on how to do this exactly. I'm pretty sure it's hard coded into an apps menu:

ADW EX Launcher with Multi Picture Live Wallpaper.

Great vid, now I have this to add to my project list for the week. I need to go from android newb to pro with a rooted phone with updated kernel and a custom launcher set up.

Fabulous tutorial. When I get my note Ill try not to mess up what you instructed.
One question though. With the 3d UI can I use live/active wallpapers (the ones that move like the moving galaxy) instead of pictures?

Hi, unfortunately it's only static wallpapers i'm afraid

Static screen problem
This question is for James, I presume, the maker of this tutorial. I've followed all your steps for the 3D UI, but, for some reason, the picture is staying static, there is no cube effect when I scroll screens, and yes, screen scrolling is enabled on AWD Ex. Help? =/

Did you enable the transition effects in Multi picture live wallpaper as well?
For me it works perfectly on Go Launcher Ex. I sat the transition there as well to outside cube.

I use this all the time, but it doesn't work on any custom ROM that I put on my One X. Has worked on custom ROM's fine on other handsets! Lets hope its OK on the SGS3

Yep. Backs up your SMS, Call Log and MMS and it's free, not paid like Backup to Gmail is. Can restore SMS and Call Logs. MMS not yet.

Maybe because Samsung Dive is for Samsung devices only?
I'm using Cerberus for things like that.. let it use root permissions and your phone is super safe. I found my lost/stolen Nexus S this way

I installed the app but weirdly it doesn't show on my list of launchers. Nova shows but not Google now

For me it does. Im running Google Now.
Try to reboot och re-flash the image.

Also, where is the gallery ?

Gallery is replaced by Photos.
Last night I wanted to watch something on my N7 and it asked me which Player I prefer.
ES Media Player, VLC or Photos (?!).
Well, opening with Photos, played also the movie

Did you try to launch the Photos app?

google now launcher makes my n7 very laggy. that's probably why it's not included in the factory image.

Now launcher is smooth on my nexus 7.
After installing it delete launcher and other apps in system folder. Solves a lot of issues freeing up 160mb of system space compared to 11mb free.

have you guys noticed that with the new google now launcher, if you try to change wallpaper long-pressing on the screen it shows the old kitkat wallpaper list instead of the new material light ones?
and if you go to setting - display - background there's a "doubled" wallpaper list?

Zooming during video playback

Does anyone have idea about zooming during video playback? It is soo odd while my old galaxy S4 was able to do that and this high level hardware cant...

Because OnePlus 5 ROM is close to stock android ROM.
Samsung and Co heavily modify their ROMs.
