Andy released his 'Phoenix Launcher' (for GB & ICS), looks good and gives ICS feel to Gingerbread.
Now, you have the ability to install the new launcher, running with gingerbread

- Set your favorite workspace screen as default "home"
- Use workspace overviews to quickly snap to your wanted screen

In I/O 2014, some guy (inb4rapedforsaying"someguy") demonstrated the trusted environment feature on Android L, I got my hands on a Samsung Gear Live recently and I would like to know how I can use trusted environment to unlock my device without a pattern.

Unfortunately, a lot of the really cool features in android L are absent from the developer preview. All of the updated apps are missing, as well as the feature you speak of..etc. They didn't mention if they would update the developer preview(like apple does), or if they would just let it go until it's ready for primetime, so nobody really knows what will happen just yet. I'd love to see an update to the developer preview, but if you look at it from google's point of view, the environment is stable enough to develop software on(for most), so that should be more than enough as a preview build.
I am currently using Tasker & Secure Settings to do this. Works fairly good. ^^

Hi everybody
I m wondering is there any way to enable samsung theme store ( s6) on our note 4 like this :
http://www.sammobile.com/2015/06/18...themes-released-today-in-samsung-theme-store/
That looks cool! I hope it gets integrated into our software releases too

We'll get that theme engine in 5.1, if we're to believe this redditor: http://www.reddit.com/r/galaxynote4...e_4_getting_the_new_camera_softwareui/csaf1rl
doubt it
I really do hope that Samsung will bring in a theme store in the next firmware update for the Note 4. As it is right now the GUI is way too bright even with the brightness settings at the lowest level.

It has nothing to do with the operating system (LP,MM) it has to do with samsung adding the framework to be able to apply the themes. In short we will never get it from samsung, but it can be ported from Galaxies S6,S7, or N5. We will eventually get a ROM base on other newer phones.
Can we discuss some of the communities wish list items for built in features or features that got phased out from updates, mine so far are:
1.) Floating mode for Samsung keyboard
2.) Soft keys for recent apps, home, and return buttons
3.) Quick settings capability to turn on and off the different power saving levels (This was available for the factory version of the app )

All cute and all but without the ability to pass on feature requests and bug reports to Samsung's Note 7 team, what's the use?
No use per say mostly just discussion, but in my opinion you never know who lurks these forum boards. Maybe someone from the Samsung Note 7 team sees this and relays it to development focus decision makers

I have sent queries to the official samsung forums admins and mods to see if there is an actual official way. I'm not holding hope they reply tho.
Fireproof!
Good Lock 2019 with Android Pie support is finally here.
Many Good Lock fans were not excited to see that most of its apps and plugins no longer functioned properly when the*One UI beta*was released for the Galaxy S9 last year. The development team later confirmed that they were working to make Good Lock compatible with Android Pie.
For those who are unaware, Good Lock provides users with an array for customizable features for their handset. The first ever Good Lock app was released in 2016 with compatibility for Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Samsung then*updated the app in 2018 with support for Android 8.0.
The core features in Good Lock*include Quickstar, Lockstar, Task Changer, Routines, Clockface, Edge Touch, Edge Lighting and more. The development team has said that the updated version brings some improvements for these features as well.
Task Changer gets new styles for recent apps while MultiStar enables some of the Multi Window functionality that was removed from Pie due to some Google policy. Much of the functionality remains the same so you’ll be familiar with it if you have used Good Lock 2018.
Good Lock 2019 does not remove geographical restrictions. It’s only available to users in the United States, South Korea, Australia, Singapore, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Samsung’s list of supported markets isn’t complete but some other markets like India do have it as well. It can be downloaded there*from the Galaxy Store.
Do keep in mind that Good Lock 2019 with Android Pie support is available for the Galaxy Note 9 and older flagships running Pie. It does not work with the Galaxy S10 currently. An update will be released later with support for the new flagship series. Those who have Good Lock installed already can update from within the app or get the APKs and install them manually.

TUTORIAL :
What you want to do is hold down on the home screen on Nova Launcher and hit widgets. Then, choose the activities widget. Then once it loads, look for the apps that you have installed. The list of the ones I have been able to found are: Lockstar, One Hand Operation+, QuickStar, Routines. Edge Lighting+ and Edge Touch have their own icons.
Good Luck
You don't need nova for this to work, Download https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sika524.android.quickshortcut
Then click on try in the app.
How to install Samsung Good Lock 2018 on Samsung Galaxy phones running Oreo
Download and install the files contained in this .zip file.(https://wetransfer.com/downloads/5ef2727cdf87c8fe225421b22b3f1a8a20180615131746/44936f)
Install QuickShortcutMaker from the Google Play Store and open it. You are going to need to do this every time you want to change settings for some good lock features because the Good Lock UI is broken in any country that isn’t South Korea.
There are different app names for each feature to change. You need to do this for LockStar (Lock Screen Options), Routines, QuickStar (Quick Settings Options), and Task Changer (Recents Menu Options.) You can click on this then select the first activity in the list. Then click the button that says Try, it will open the settings and allow you to use the Good Lock tools. You will need to do this every time you want to change the settings until Samsung releases Good Lock for other countries.
Can somebody help me with the lockstar app ? It won't show a clock and I can't select apps . Don't know what's wrong with it .
The clock is activated in the show tab so it's not that
Any ideas what apps or settings maybe conflicts with the lockstar ?
Good Lock 2018 on Nougat
Hi guys, I made run Good Lock on Nougat. It makes me create new combinations, but when i press apply the app crashes. I think it's because it is not made for working with android 7.0, but if me, 12 years old boy, could run it on a non-compatible version of android, i think and hope someone could help me to customizate my android nougat. My device is Samsung Galaxy tab S2( SM-T719). I made it run on Nogat by writing 24 Sdk version instead 26 on the configuration of EVERY apk file. Thank you for your future help!?

This is now available to every one on the Galaxy Apps store. I installed it around 4AM this morning, and I'm using a T-Mobile Galaxy S8+ on latest Oreo. EdgeLighting+ is pretty cool, too!

Thanks, works like a charm. Waiting for the official release from Sammy!
Got it this morning from galaxy app store. Working great. I'm on at&t official in the US.
Any indications yet as to if/when it'll be in the UK/Ireland store?
Works great, thanx! The best thing is that you can install only the apk's you need (in my case only the task changer and quickstar)
