Just a question. I have placed 4.4 on my N10, and now it is starting up for the first time. How long could/should that take? I see now for some 15 minutes the revolving boot-animation, but not much more happens. How long should it take before the N10 starts for user input for a first run on 4.4? It doesn't seem to be in a bootloop though, as the animation is smooth, and doesn't suddenly break to start over again.

I am having issues with my 32 GB tablet. Sometimes the screen stops responding to touch and I either have to leave an app or turn off the screen and back on again to get it back. Occasionally, when I lock the screen to get it unfrozen then it doesn't come back, and restarts.
Anyone else experience anything like this?
Same here. When the screen looses responsiveness I have to reboot.

Sounds like a software issue to me. A very large portion of people seem to be reporting this and I have had this happen to me as well in two instances. I'm sure it will get worked out sooner rather than later.
Same Here
Takes forever to power back on..
mine restarts quite fast... i would know since it keeps on crashing and restarting itself

Same here. Happened twice today when my N10 was idle. Screen was frozen on lockscreen. I could turn the screen on and off but it would stay unresponsive.
Meh...
All these restarts, frozen screens, etc are starting to take a toll on my patience.

Oh, I meant Nexus 10, hahahaha.
I get confused with my nexus devices... =\
Hey guys,
Long time lurker, first time poster.
Recently after the new 4.3 security update, NY n4 has been turning off randomly. In the middle of an application it turns off.
The phone is just completely stock.
I have done some research but no one seems to know the cause. I have also noticed that when my phone does it (now 3-4 times a day) my battery stat has a drastic drop with a line in middle. Refer to photo.
The two lines vertically are roughly when the phone did this.

I experienced this the other day, when I was out taking pictures. It happened to me after I'd take a photosphere.
It happened to me once during a Skype video call. And another time when the phone was charging.
Seems to be an buggy update. Before 4.3 I didn't experienced any reboot.
I'm on stock android without root. Thinking seriously to flash for the first time a rom.
N4 is my first phone ever that I didn't rooted straight out of the box.

Same here, got that same problem after the new 4.3 update. Not sure what the problem is. I'm hoping some one has the fix for this.
So I'm on my 3rd replacement here. Long story and too many issues later WiFi issues, light bleed etc. I'm noticing an odd issue where the battery display gauge is stuck at 100%. I'm not sure if this has been discussed before so thought I'd share. I didn't root just yet but did update to 4.3.
Do you guys think I should just let it run dry or ?

I had a similar issue. Reboot, use consistently or run an intensive game for a few minutes, check your %. Then, do again or let it sleep for awhile. If it drains at all but then sticks after sleeping/gaming/Netflix or something, then its your motherboard, call Samsung and tell them to replace the PBA (Phone Board Assembly)

If it gets "stuck" like that again, call Samsung. Another common symptom is the Nexus 10 taking 5 to 10 seconds to wake

You know, I never considered contacting Samsung about any of the problems. The problem is adjusted, thanks again. Now I just need to get a 5gz capable router so I can at least stream
What is your boot time on G2 (from moment you press power button to lockscreen with fully loaded widgets)
on 4.2.2 it was 16 sec. to fully loaded widgets, now on Kitkat(stock, unrooted) is 25 sec. Kind of a dissapointment

How many times do you boot in a day that 9 seconds is a problem?
Perspective.
Come on dude, a 9 sec difference, how often do you restart your G2?
While using the G2 it's a bit snappier and more fluid on KitKat , and this is what counts, no matter what benchmarks say, or if it takes a whopping 9 seconds more to boot.
Can't believe you started a thread because of this....

+1
If that was all we had to "worry" about eh?
He/she needs a hobby...
the whole problem is it is NOT more snappy and not even as snappy as JB
I'm experincing lag on regular usage of the phone (open 3 tabs in browser and switch between)
Every task takes a bit more time and it feels generaly slower. (don't care about benchmarks)
The boot time just confirms that the phone is slower with KK, that's why I ask about others boot time as a method to generally compare speed of KK
P.S and yes I did couple of Hard resets already.

Dude try a factory reset.
Silly
Sent from my LG-D802 using Tapatalk
you can try to do a factory reset, and if you want flash the kk .kdz
Before we take this topic of "my slow boot time", off the deep end. Lets just close it down now, if the boot time and or speed is not up to your standards, JB or KK, it is your choice to run either. And my KK device rebooted in the entire time I typed this...
Thanks
Hi, just got my nexus 6p. Love the every bit of it
but i hate it when every time i install new ROM and wipe dalvik
I need to wait like 5 to 10 min for optimizing app and it took out almost 10% of my battery each time
any advice on what can i do to make it faster?
As far as I know, there isn't anything you can do about it. It needs to go through that optimization process. Do some pushups in the meantime!
Be Patient.
It's normal. Just wait.
ok then lol thanks for the replies
